Enjoy Life!

Hey Everyone!! I made this card using this weeks sketch over at SCS. SC226. My image today is from The Cats Pajamas. Now I just love this image because that one little birdie is just stepping out with her flowers and bows and having herself just a grand ol' time. Atleast this is how I interpret it today!! So what a better sentiment than "Enjoy Life" which I purchased from Stamping Bella. My cardstock is Bordering Blue and So Saffron. My image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black onto PTI Cardstock. Then the little bluish birds were watercolored with Bordering Blue and I colored the rest with my copics. My dp today is Bella....okay I forget whether it is Bella Birds or Bella Bleu. One of those Bella papers from SU. My ribbon is So Saffron and my baubles are also from Stamping Bella.

Now onto some good news. I am still exercising 45 minutes a day and my diet is going very well. I do not have the strong cravings for food like I did in the beginning. Along with my 6lbs lost last week, I have lost ABOUT 2 more lbs so far this week. My official weigh in is on Mondays at Jenny Craig but I cant resist getting on my scale to check my progress!!

Thanks so much for stopping by to say Hi!! Hope you are having a fantastic day!!

Happy Wednesday!!

Happy Wednesday and Happy Flutterby day over at Dannis Dreams. This weeks challenge was to make a card with red white and blue. How much fun is that!! I stamped my butterfly from my Inkadinkado set in Real Red onto PTI cardstock. You cant see it in the picture but I then accented all the dots with Crystal Stickles. It really shimmers IRL. I cut my image out with circle nesties and mounted it onto a red scalloped circle cut from my nesties. My cardstock is Night of Navy and Riding Hood Red. My dp is all SU. Prestwick and Bella Rose. My two edge punches are from Fiskars and MS. Brads and ribbon are from stash and sentiment is from PTI.

Why dont you play along with us this week and make a Butterfly Card. All you have to do is post it to SCS or PCP and put keyword FBW. That simple and think of the gorgeous card you can make using red white and blue and a butterfly!!

Our featured team member is the super talented Nancy. You must check out her blog!! While you are at it check out the rest of the teams creations also.

I know I have not been around to alot of your blogs lately. I had some company over the weekend and I will tell you the truth, I have been so enjoying the unseasonable warm weather we are having so I have not been on the computer much but I promise to make my way around today!! Have a great day!!

Whats the Story?

Okay let me start by saying that my diet is getting sooooo much easier. I am so relieved. As of this morning on my scale I have lost 6.5 pounds this week. I am so excited. I know that the first week is usually the most weight lost but my goal is to lose a good 2 lbs a week so this is a good start. And I have to say that the exercise is crucial. I dont think I would have lost as much without it. And I actually enjoy the exercise. I turn on the Learning Channel and watch my favorite show "What not to Wear". Hysterical. I am waiting for these people to come knocking at my door because my wardrobe has been a bit off since I put on my weight!! So all is good in this area!! Thanks for all of your kind words and support.

Now onto my card. I used a new stamp that I have not inked up from MFT called Whats the story. Isnt little flopsey cute cute cute!!! I stamped him on PTI card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored him with my copics. My dsp was from scraps so I dont know whose it is. My cardstock is So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie and Rose Red. I cuttlebugged the middle panel with my paisley folder and cut the borders with my MS punches. These little white flowers I bought at Michaels a LONG time ago and just used them for the first time. And I paper pierced the perimeter of both the image and sentiment with my paper piercer. I happen to love the way it came out. So fun and cheerful. Hope you like it also. Have a great Saturday!!! The weather here is gorgeous. I hope it is by you too.

Cake anyone??

Hi Everyone!! So the diet and exercise is going very well. I have been on the treadmill everyday this week for 45 minutes and my eating (or lack of) is getting soooo much easier. I have been eating a bag of brussel sprouts a day as a snack. I steam them and put alittle salsa over them for some flavor. I found a really great salsa at Trader Joes. It is a Spicy Smoky Peach salsa. YUM!!!

So onto my card. For this one I just used scraps of dsp from my desk and worked my layout around them. My image is from The Cats Pajamas and was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Georgia Pacific cardstock. The cake was colored with copics and then I sponged the edges of both the image and sentiment with Pumpkin Pie. I used a few Pumpkin brads that I purchased at Pink Hedgehog on ebay. She has brads in ALL the SU colors. It is awesome, and my ribbon is from Michaels.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope your day was fantastic!! See everyone tomorrow.

Whoo Hoo its Wednesday!!

And if you know me at all you know that today means flutterby day for me!! If you dont know about Flutterby Day well let me explain. Over at Dannis Dreams we celebrate every Wednesday with a card made of either a Butterfly of a fairy, and you can play along also. It is alot of fun. Just make a card and upload it to either SCS or PCP with keyword FBW. Easy Peasy.

This week our guest designer is the UBER talented Lauren Meader and our featured stamper is our very own Jodi. Both super talented ladies. You will want to go check out their work and also while you are at it, check out the rest of the teams creations also.

For my card today I used two different stamp sets. The first one is Buggy Sayings from Paper Makeup and the second one is Bundles of Bouquets from MFT. My dsp is from SU's set Bella Bleu. Cardstock is kraft and not quite navy. I actually used two different ribbons today, kraft from SU and the cream is from Michaels. My ghost flower is from Heidi Swapp and then it was covered in Crystal Glitter from Art Institute. My blue flower is Prima.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you have a great one.

Hanging in there

Well I do not have a card for you today. I have one that will be posting first thing in the moring but just wanted to keep you all posted on my diet goings on. Day 2 and doing pretty good. 45 minutes of excercise again and to curb the hunger, I ate a whole bag of brussel sprouts with salsa!! Still having a hard time tonight warding off the night time munchies but I am going to just blog hop and get my mind off eating. See you all tomorrow!!

Dance with Me

Hi Everyone. Well we made it through the day. Everyone got off to school without any problems and I went to Jenny Craig. I cant say that was uneventful because I DID have to get on the scale. YIKES!!! Well I knew I put on a few but well like they say...the scale does not lie. So needless to say I have some work ahead of me. I did really good today following my meal plan and I exercised for 45 minutes on the treadmill. It is now at night that I am having the hardest time. I love to nibble at night. My fav is having a bag of Bare Naked Granola at my side. The banana nut is the best. Healthy yes but also pretty fattening. So I just have to grin and bear it and get over the night time nibbles. (although I am not grinning!! LOL)

My card tonight is from the Stamp of the Month over at Paper Pretties. This one is just so lovely and perfect for so many things. I stamped Sophia with memento tuxedo black onto PTI White cardstock. I then colored her with my copics and made her skirt shimmer with Shimmerz. I cut her out with my oval nesties and then mounted her onto a scalloped oval nestie in Regal Rose. I sponged the edge with Tim Holtz ink. I have no idea whose paper this is that I used. If I were to guess I think it came from my DCWV Nursery Stack. I used my MS border punches and layered them and cut my sentiment out with my oval punch and sponged the edge of that also. Easy Peasy simple card for today. Hope ya like it!!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great night and I am going to go watch Dancing with the Stars and make sure Lil Kim does not have any more wardrobe problems. (Can you imagine!! I would be mortified but that is just nerdy me!!!) Night Night!!

Hoppy Hoppy duel challenge

Hi Everyone!! Well we are finally at the end of our Spring Break Vacation. The kids are relaxing and getting ready to go back to school tomorrow. It has been a very long vacation and I am sure tomorrow morning is going to be a rough one for all of us.

I had a nice and relaxing day today and got to do some stamping. I worked on the color challenge and sketch challenge from SCS. SC224 which was this sketch and CC214 which was Bordering Saffron Pirouette.

I have had this Flopsey set from MFT since SNE. I bought it for $5. What a great deal for this little cutie pie and he worked perfectly with this weeks sketch. I stamped my flopsey with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto PTI White Cardstock and colored him with copics and paper pieced the cupcake with paper from Bella Birds. The rest of my dsp is from Bella Birds also. Ribbon is so Saffron, my sentiment was cut out with my tags set from Spellbinders. Buttons are from Doodlebug. Linen thread is SU and baubles are from Stamping Bella. Oh and of course I propped a few layers up with dimensionals from SU.

Well wish me luck tomorrow on our first day back to school in 10 days!! YIKES....Also wish me luck because I am going back to Jenny Craig again. I have been successful with it in the past and it is time to give it another whirl. I just dont want to fall to the floor when I get on that scale to weigh in!!! So big day for me tomorrow. Hope you all have a great night. Thanks so much for stopping by to say hi!! I do love it when you visit!!

Giving Tilda an airing!

Hi Everyone. Well I have to admit that I have Magnolias that I have not inked up yet. I know I know....how could I? Well the truth is that this little girl is very intimidating to me. I see how all of you make BEAUTIFUL cards with her and I just can never seem to get it right. For my liking atleast. But I was flipping through my Little Monkeys system where my Magnolias are stored and there she was. I just could not ignore her anymore. So out she came with her cute little puppy and after many trials and trials I think she came out pretty good. I used my copics to color her and my dsp is Raspberry Tart from SU. I cut my little girl out and propped her up in a frame that I made with my rectangle nesties. Ribbon is Rose Red from SU and flowers and brads I had in stash.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a fantastic night.

Friendly Sketch

Hi Everyone. Just wanted to get a quick post in today. Made this card the other day using a SCS sketch. Which # I cannot remember. The stamp I used is one I bought on sale at Michaels. It was in the clearance center. Gotta love clearance sales. My paper is from K & Company Madeline. I colored with my copics. Cardstock used was Pink Pirouette and Kiwi Kiss and my ribbon is Rose Red. Dont know what possessed me to use this ribbon but I think it kind of pops so I liked it. Hope you do too. My pearls are Oyster Baubles from Stamping Bella.

My hubby is getting ready to take a bunch of boys out to Hibachi for my sons b-day. My daughter did not want to eat that food so I will stay home with her.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Sorry for the quick post. Hope you have a fantastic night.

To the Moon!!!

Hi Everyone!! I hope tax day has been painless for all of you. Today is actually my sons 12th b-day. He hung out with a bunch of his friends and then my hubby took him to see a Knicks game. They are big fans. Then tomorrow if he still wants to, I offered to take him and a few friends to a hibachi restaurant for dinner. You know, the ones that slice and dice in front of you. FUN!!

So my card today is a fairly new set from Paper Pretties. Why I had not inked it up yet is a mystery to me because he is soooo adorable. Look at that sweet little boy face!! AWWW!!

So I stamped my little guy with Memento Tuxedo Black onto PTI White and colored him with my copics. My dsp is the delicate dots from the SAB catty. Ribbon is so saffron and cardstock is Certainly Celery. My brads were just in stash. Oh and I popped the sentiment up with dimensionals. After I made this one, I started a second one and as I was coloring it, my son said I should make the jersey blue and orange for the Knicks so I did and gave that one to him for his b-day. (of course with different dsp!!! LOL)

Thanks sooooo much for stopping by!! Have a great night!

Fluttering by again!!

Hi and welcome to Flutter By Wednesday over at Dannis Dreams. Every Wednesday the Flutterby Team creates new cards with either Butterflies or Fairies. This week I had fun with my card because my very last bella sistah (Hi Carrie!!) sent me this awesome pack of paper from DCWV called Blossoms and Butterflies. It is gorgeous and fun and all the paper has butterflies on them so I worked my card today around the paper. I hope you can see the little border of brown butterflies in the middle and over to the right, there is a little silver butterfly embossed into the paper with the swirls. Then all I did was stamp my image which is from My Favorite Things onto PTI White Cardstock. Colored with copics and used some Crystal Effects on the water in the vase. I cut my image out with my circle nesties and mounted it to a Bashful Blue circle also cut with my nesties. Then I popped that up with dimensionals. Stamped and cut out my sentiment, also from My Favorite Things, with my oval punches. THEN behind my sentiment I cut out of Chocolate Brown paper some little leaves using my die from SU and popped up a butterfly on the leaves which I stamped onto Georgia Pacific paper, colored with my copics and glitter pen, and cut out. Voila!! It was so strange not to use any ribbon on my card but really the paper was decorative enough.

You can play along with Flutterby Wednesday also!! It is fun so come along and join us. All you have to do is make your flutterby card and post to SCS or PCP using the keyword FBW.

This week Danni is introducing some new team members who are ultra talented ladies. Please welcome to the team, Kim, Nicola, Harriet and Stef. And our featured stamper this week is the FABU Kristie!!

Another RAK image

My friend Danni sent me a bunch of RAK images and I used one yesterday and I used one today. If I am not mistaken, they are from TAC which Danni represents. (Am I right Danni?).

So anywhoo, I fell in love with this paper at AC Moore and I cut it and the black matting about a week ago and then just stared at it. Not knowing what image to put with it. I still think the image I chose is too small for the paper but it is done so that is that.

I cut my two side pieces of cardstock with my MS border punches. Arch Lattice and Lace. I doubled them up just like I have seen Cindy Haffner do many times on her blog. She does it soooo well I wanted to give it a try. My sentiment is from My Favorite Things. Primas I had in stock as well as the black brads. Ribbon is from Michaels and I colored my image with my copics. All cardstock is SU in Tempting Turquoise, Basic Black and Whisper White. I also popped up the entire panel with SU dimensionals.

I am not 100% thrilled with this card. I feel it is in need of something but I do love the coloring on the flowers!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fantastic night.

Phew! I'm stamping again!

Wow it has been quite a few days since I have been at my crafting table!! We had Passover sedars for two nights and then last night my kids had a huge sleepover. My son had 3 friends and my daughter had one. My husband thought I was out of my mind to allow it but I have to say that they were all very good and respectful. So finally today I had a chance to craft. Boy did it feel good. For this card I used an adorable image I received from Danni in a RAK. Isn't it perfect for this sentiment which is from the Congrats (?) set from SAB. I thought it was perfect with the old work boot and colorful fresh flowers. I colored my image with my copics, my dsp and ribbon is from Making Memories. All cardstock is SU (pumpkin pie and brocade blue) and my button is from stash.

Glad to be back and I will be visiting everyones blogs that I have missed so much tonight!! Have a great night and I hope your holidays were joyous!!

Lacking the MOJO!!

Hi Everyone!! I have had little to no creativity flowing threw my head this week. Since the weekend, I have just been wandering around the house doing odds and end chores. You know the ones that stare you in the face saying "Clean Me" and you walk by all time. Well those. The china cabinet for example. UGGG. I am a tea set collector so I cant tell you how long it has been since I dusted out the china cabinet. With all those little cups it is a nightmare. But tackle it I did!!! Horray for me!!

The card I am showing you today I actually made last week. It is made with my new SOTM from Paper Pretties. Ballerina Sophia. I love this one because she can be used anytime during the year. Isnt she sweet? I colored her with my copics and sprinkled Art Institute Crystal Glitter on her skirt for the shine and sheerness. My cardstock is all SU and my dsp is a mystery. Just something I had laying around. My ribbon is a sheer white ribbon from Michaels that I colored with my copics to match the card. I learned this from Cindy Lawrence at SNE. Thanks Cindy!!

Hope you all have a fab day!! I am going to check out a few challenges to get my creativity flowing!!

Celebrate with Style

I decided that my Lockhart stamps have not been getting enough love lately so I took out my Rose Bud Gown stamp and some gorgeous K and Company Madeline paper and created this little card. My cardstock is Rose Red and Always Artichoke from SU. I embossed my half circle with my Swirls folder in my cuttlebug and trimmed the bottom panel with my new MS Arch Lattice punch. (LOVE THIS PUNCH....then again what punch don't I love). I watercolored my image with Rose Red ink and then put a coat of Shimmerz over it which you probably cant see but OH the glisten IRL!!! Finally I finished off the card with a few Bella Oyster Baubles and viola....I am done.

I am heading into the city tomorrow to go see West Side Story on Broadway!! Whoo Hoo! I am so excited because this is my ALL TIME FAVORITE movie. So hope for good weather for me so maybe we can walk around alittle. I will be back on Sunday hopefully with a FS Card.

Have a great night and thanks for stopping by.

Love this stamp!!

Aren't those little penquins sweet sweet sweet???? I am in love with this set from The Cats Pajamas called Smells like Cake.
It is just so fun and whimsical!!

For this card I started out by stamping my image onto PTI white cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black. I am on a search for an ink refill for this pad so if anyone knows where I can find that please let me know!!

Then I cut my image out with my circle nesties and mounted it onto a scallop circle. I colored my image with copics and then stamped the image again, colored the cupcake, cut it out and propped it up with a dimensional. My middle panel was cut with my brand new EK Fiskars punch. (I think the name was wave...not 100% sure.) I have no idea where I got this dsp and my white ribbon is from Michaels. Cardstock used is Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss and PTI white. That should do it for this card.

For those of you wondering about my accountant scenario... things went well and I love my accountant once again. (until next tax season!!)

Have a fantastic night and I will see you again tomorrow!!

Hmmmm, No designer Paper??

Well it is true!! That is the challenge for this weeks Flutterby Wednesday over at Dannis Dreams. To make a butterfly card WITHOUT dsp. How mean is Danni huh?? Naw I am just kidding but I have to be honest. I was challenged big time with this because I like to layer my cards and without dsp there can be no layering (LOL). CAS is not my usual look. I must have made this card over about 5 times. But all in all the end result is just that, CAS without dsp.

You can play along too. Just upload a Butterfly card to either SCS or PCP with the keyword FBW. Come on and play along!!

On the flutterby team we are saying a HUGE HELLO to a new member. Nancy. What an awesome crafter she is. Just check out her blog, and while you are at it, show some love for the rest of the Flutterby Team.
