I'm here for you

Okay so did you ever make a card that you just love sooo much that you can just stare at it all day??? I know I sound weird but this happens to be one of those cards. I just LOVE how this came out. It is not so much what I did but I just LOVE this Topiary image from Little Paper Shop and this dp from DCWV La Creme. Everything is just so dreamy and delicious.

So as usual I stamped my image with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Buttercream Cardstock and colored with my copics. Everything is mounted onto Black and Always Artichoke cardstock and like I said, my dp is DCWV La Creme. The paper is amazing because it is flocked and feels wonderful to the touch and looks so rich. (Did I tell you how much I love this card!!!) LOL. The only embellishment that I used was some sheer black ribbon from Michaels that I made a ribbon knot with. Other than that this was easy peasy.

Thanks again for stopping by. Have a fantastic day!!

Joie de Vivre

Here is another card made with stamps from The Rubber Cafe. Their stamps are quite beautiful and very unique. I started by stamping my image onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock with a burgandy ink and then I cut it out with my oval nesties and mounted it onto a burgandy oval. My dp is from Bo Bunny which I have had for awhile and it is just gorgeous paper. My polka dot ribbon is from Michaels and then I hope you can see it but I stamped my sentiment, "Joie de Vivre" onto the dp and then added a few crystals. Now I do not speak french so I had to look this sentiment up on google which told me it translates into something like Joy of Life or enjoying life. Which is what I would be doing for sure with this bottle of wine and and the grapes!!

Thanks so much for stopping by. I will have another post in alittle while. Have a fantastic day.

Peace Love Joy

Hi Everyone! This is my second post of the day. If you are looking for my FBW card please scroll down.

The card I made this afternoon is an image from The Rubber Cafe called Large Brushed Dove. Isn't it so peaceful and serene? I just love it. My sentiment is from The Rubber Cafe also.

I started by stamping my image with versamark onto Buttercream Cardstock and then embossed it with Clear EP. I then stamped my sentiment with Brilliance Gold Ink and embossed with Gold EP. My image was cut out with circle nesties and mounted onto a scalloped circle in black. My dp is from DCWV La Creme Pack and my gold baubles are Bella Baubles. I just love the way this came out. So simple and elegant.

Thanks for dropping by. Hope your day is fantastic.

My Flutterby Day

Good Morning!! Today is Wednesday and that means Flutterby Day over at Dannis Dreams. This weeks challenge was issued by myself to the team. To make a card using a butterfly or fairy and NO designer paper. This week I used a set from Little Paper Shop called Natures Garden. What a gorgeous set!!! I stamped my images onto PTI White Cardstock, colored with my copics, and cut them out with my oval nesties. My cardstock is Close to Cocoa and Rose Red from SU and I embossed both of them using my Swiss Dots and Swirls folders. My ribbon is from SU and my butterfly is cut out with my fiskars punch and outlined it with my Glitter Gel Pen. Sentiment was cut out using my oval punches.

If you have a chance, take a look at the rest of the teams creations for some inspiration. I am sure you will be pleased.

You can play along too. Just create your card and upload it to SCS or PCP using keyword FBW.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I am off to get ready for some company. Hope you have a fantastic day!!

A Mojo Thank You

Good Morning!! I hope your day is going well. I know mine is, the weather is as perfect as can be!!!

I made my card today following last weeks MOJO Monday Sketch. Some day I will get the sketch done in the week it is issued!! For my dp I used some DCWV Nannas Nursery Boy Pack. My image is from Paper Pretties. She is just so precious isnt she?? I stamped my image onto PTI cardstock and colored with my copics. I layered everything onto SU cardstock in Tempting Turquoise and one of the greens, I forget what I used. I added a bunch of silver brads, some primas in the corner, a swirl that was cut out from a sizzix die and my sentiment which was cut out using my oval punches from SU. Oh and I paper pierced around the main panel which is something I dont do that often but it is such a nice touch.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope your weather and day is fantastic.

A Bright and Yummy Color Challenge

Good Morning Everyone!! I made this fun and cheerful card today for the color challenge that Little Paper Shop has today. You needed to use Brilliant Blue, Pixie Pink and Real Red. You can find the challenge here.

I had a real challenge with this challenge. (Imagine a challenge with a challenge???). I am one of those people who feel pink and red just do not belong together, but I have to tell you that I am really happy with the way this came out. It really just sort of works.

The stamp set I used is also from Little Paper Shop and it is called Sugar. I stamped my image onto PTI cardstock and colored with my copics. Then I put a coat of glossy accents over the bowl for a glass effect. I cut my image out with my circle nesties. My sentiment was cut out with my oval punches. My ribbon was a sheer white color and I colored it with my copics to match the brilliant blue and my brads up the side are from Pink Hedgehog and they are a brilliant blue also. The dp I used were scraps so I am not sure what they are.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a fantastic day.

Thanks a Cherry Bunch

Hi All. Happy Saturday to you. My card today was made for this weeks SCS Sketch Challenge. SC238. Now this is one of those cards where I kept switching things up a bit and then at the end still say...coulda shoulda woulda...

I used my much neglected Tart and Tangy set from SU with some left over retired Summer Picnic Paper and paper from Ski Slope. Heres my story about this Tart and Tangy set. When I decided I wanted it last year it had been taken out of the catalog so what do I do if I want hard to find items. I turn to ebay. Where I found it being sold for $25. I bought it. Little did I know it would be put back into the catalog at 12.95!!! Oh well. You win some you lose some. I actually just hit it right with some Cosmo Cricket paper on ebay for an outstanding price. But anywhoo... so I stamped my 3 images after coloring them with marker and doing the old huffing routine. My cardstock is Bashful Blue, Real Red, and Basic Black. Brads are from the Pink Hedgehog and ribbon is from Michaels.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope you have a fantastic Saturday!!

A Little Snuggle

This card I made today reminds me on my daughter. Every night she climbs into bed with me before she goes to sleep because she "has" to snuggle. And boy does she ever. She gets right up next to you and pretty much holds you for dear life!! She loves the coziness and I cant say that I mind very much!! She is 10 and I know it wont last forever so I take it while I can. Speaking of getting older, the other day she packed away ALL of her American Girl Dolls and all of their clothes. She is done playing with dolls which is sad for me considering I sell American Girl Doll Clothes!!

So I made my card with an adorable set from MFT called Snuggle Bunnies which you can find here. I colored the image with my copics and cut it out with a circle nestie and mounted it on a larger Certainly Celery Circle. My dp is from DCWV Nanna's Nursery Girl. My layout is this Mondays MOJO Sketch. I used certainly celery ribbon, a prima flower, SU brad and made my certainly celery leaves with my die from SU called Little Leaves. I just love how this came out!! Those little SHNUGS as my daughter would say!!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope you have a fantastic day!!

My Little Friend

Hey Everyone!! Well another dreary day here on Long Island. I'm telling ya....summer has been a real tease this year. It will appear for 2 days and then back to this crummy rain and clouds and cool weather. I guess I will just have to craft the day away!!!

So today's card is fairly simple as far as layout but if you look closely, you can see that I used my new Janome around the border!! Whoo Hoo for me. Now of course it is not perfection as you can see in the corners, and it did take me three tries to get it this way but I am happy with it for a beginner. What do you think?

My image today is another digi that is from Little Paper Shop and you can find it here. I think she is so sweet gazing at her little friend. I colored my image with copics and a white gel pen. My dp is Delicate Dots from SU. Ribbon is So Saffron from SU which I attempted to tie into a bow today. ( I was really feeling adventurous on this card!! LOL). And then I tied my sentiment onto my bow with some linen thread also from SU.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Let me know if you have any suggestions for my sewing!! I will keep practicing. Have a fantastic day!!

Little Paper Shop Sketch

Hi Everyone. I made this card last night for the Monday Sketch Challenge over at Little Paper Shop Blog. LPSC25. It is a great sketch by the super talented Cindy Haffner. This is actually a digi stamp. Isn't she just the cutest. She is called Katie Swing and can be found here.

I started off by printing my image onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock from Taylored Expressions and then printed it again onto dp from the K&Co stack called Madeline so I could paper piece her dress and the butterfly. I cut her out with my oval nesties and mounted her onto another oval cut from Sage Shadow and then a scalloped oval from Rose Red. I paper pierced the scallops and popped up the image on dimensionals. My ribbon is from stash and my flower is from SU.

I am off to go play with my Janome Sew Mini which I got before vacation. I have the actual sewing part down, it is just now to figure out where to line up the paper so that it sews evenly. This should take me awhile!! LOL

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope you have a fantastic day!!

FBW with a scene

Hi All!! Let me start off right away admitting that I really did not follow directions well for this weeks FBW. The challenge this week is to create a "scene" without using dp. I just could not wrap my brain around this concept of creating the scene. Heather on our team threw out this challenge this week and I have seen her create GORGEOUS scenes on her cards but me? Nothing. So I cheated alittle and just used a stamp from Missy B that "looks" kind of like a scene. I stamped it in Mambo Melon, cut it out with my circle nesties and mounted it onto a larger circle of Mambo Melon. I cuttlebugged my white base which is PTI Cardstock and stamped the sentiment with Mambo Melon also. My butterfly was punched out with my fiskars punch and then I put a coat of shimmerz on it so it is really sparkly IRL.

Why dont you play along with us and create a scene using a butterfly or a fairy. If you do, just upload it to either SCS or PCP with keyword FBW. If you would like some more inspiration, go and check out the rest of the team who I am sure was more creative than me this week!!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a fantastic day.

My huggabug friend

Hi Everyone!! Here is another card I made on vacation. I used last Mondays MOJO Sketch. My image was a RAK from my friend Karen. I colored it in with my copics and a glitter pen. My dp is Bella Rose from SU. All cardstock is SU except for my white base which is PTI. My sentiment is from a new set called Butterfly Wishes which can be found here, and my ribbon is SU.

I finally had a chance to play with my Janome Sew Mini today. What FUN!! I have a few snags to work out but for the most part I can actually sew in a straight line!! I cant wait to actually make a card with it.

I hope you are enjoying your day. Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

I'm Home!!

Hi Everyone!! Wow this is the longest I have gone without a post on my blog and without visiting all of you. Our vacation was a HUGE success. So beautiful at the lake and soooo very relaxing.

I started off my vacation drowning myself in a book. I read "My Sisters Keeper" and oh boy was I hooked. I just could not put this book down. I wanted to read it before I saw the movie but now I do not even want to see the movie. It just wont compare!!

I got very little crafting done because of my reading and I thought for sure my hubby would have been angry at me for NOT crafting after he worked all my stuff into the car but he was just glad I was enjoying myself. What a guy!!

The ONE day that I did get a chance to craft, I made this card using a bella image I received in a RAK. I colored her with my copics and mounted her onto a Bermuda Bay panel. The rest of my dp is from a Key Ingredients pack from Taylored Expressions called Brilliant. Love love these colors. My cardstock is a mix between SU and Prism. Flowers are primas, button from stash, linen thread from SU and sentiment is from Stamping Bella.

I am so glad to be back into the swing of things and I cant wait to go around and see what all of you have been up to. I will be doing that during the course of today.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fantastic day!!

We will never fit everything!!!

Hi everyone!! Just a quick post as I am hiding from my husband because he is going ballistic over the amount of crafting supplies I am bringing!!! The car is filling up REAL fast and my stuff is taking up a HUGE portion of the space. Keep your fingers crossed that we will make everything fit and that I will not have to cut back on my goodies!! Just as an FYI, these are the supplies that I have packed. The bin is full to the top and my bag is full of paper and my little supplies. Hope you all have a great weekend. I hope to be back tomorrow with a new card from the cabin by the lake!!

P.S. Yes that is my blue fluffy slipper with my freshly manicured toes in the picture!!! LOL

Sophia says Thank You!!

Hi Everyone! My company is gone and now I am in the process of packing for my lake vacation. We are all sooooo excited to get there already. We have been taking the kids to the same place for the past 10 years so it really is like a home away from home for them. They know the in's and out's of the resort and can really come and go as they please as it is such a friendly and family oriented place. I do however bring alot with me as far as food goes because the supermarkets are some what expensive in a vacation community and well I just like what I like so I want to have it with me!! I have a huge 3' x 2' tupperwere box that I put MOST of the dry goods into then I have about 7 shopping totes that I put the rest into. THEN I have the cooler for the cold and frozen stuff. I know it really sounds like alot but we do not eat out because the restaurants really stink up there so I need food for all of us for the week plus snacks.

Then comes the crafting "schtuf" that I just MUST bring. I will take a picture of that later and post it tomorrow for you. You will think I am nuts but I really do bring alot with me. Another huge tupperwere bin plus my crafting tote. And then clothes???? Oh did I forget about that?? LOL!!

So onto my card for today. I made it with my brand new SOTM Sophia. Thank You Sophia. She is in my opinion one of the cutest put out and also the one that can really be used often because she is not "seasonal". I just know I will be inking her up often. I paper pieced her dress with paper from Making Memories Chloes Closet and then colored the rest of her with my copics. My dp is from Bella Bleu. Cardstock is Not Quite Navy and Very Vanilla from SU. Sentiment was cut out with my oval punches and for the small NQN panels I ran them through the cuttlebug with my Swirls folder. Flowers are primas and cut out with a fiskars punch. Large silver brad is SU and the silver baubles are Stamping Bella. The tiny bit of lace is from Taylored Expressions.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you like the card and that I did not rant on too much!! Have a fantastic day and I will be back tomorrow with pix of my mounds of stuff!!

Whimsical Flutterby Day

Hi Everyone and welcome to Flutterby Wednesday. Now before I even get started telling you about my card, I have to say that this card really kicked my butt. I cannot tell you how many times I redid this card and am I 100% thrilled with it?? Ehhh...but this was my final product.

For this card today I tried a few new things. I have been admiring those grunge flowers that everyone is making so I wanted to give that a try but to me my flower just looks like crinkly paper. I wonder if the texture of the paper had anything to do with it? I will have to try it again with different paper. Then I wanted to distress the edges of my paper which I feel came out pretty good. The rest of the card was easy peasy. I used my new Butterfly Wishes stamp set and stamped my sentiment on very vanilla cardstock and cut it out with my oval punches then under my sentiment I stamped alittle swirl with a butterfly from the same set. My dp is from the summer pack at MFT and my red and blue cardstock is from DCWV Brights Pack. Buttons were in my stash, small flowers were cut with a fiskars punch and the blue butterfly was stamped and cut out and glued on. My lace ribbon is from Taylored Expressions.

Why dont you come and play along with us for Flutterby Wednesday. This weeks challenge is to use ribbon and buttons and of course a butterfly or fairy. Just create your card and when you upload to SCS or PCP use keyword FBW.

Also you must check out the rest of the DT and their creations. I am positive you will be inspired.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fantastic day!!

Whimsical Greetings

Hey Everyone!! Like I mentioned yesterday, I was so lucky to have won this fabulous new stamp set from the Greeting Farm and Jessica from the Whimsical Butterfly. It is such a sweet set and the sentiments are perfect for so many occasions. Here today is another card I made with the set. My dsp is from Making Memories, the Chloe stack. I have to say, alot of times I will buy a stack of paper only to use a few of the sheets in the pack but this Chloe set, I have just about sucked down every last sheet in there. It has been my all time favorite stack of paper. My cardstock is Pumpkin Pie, Brocade Blue and Very Vanilla and Barely Banana (or was it Apricot Appeal????) . I stamped my butterfly with Pumpkin Pie and then embellished it with my spica glitter pen which you probably cannot see but it looks very pretty. My sentiment was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black. Silver Baubles are from Stamping Bella and ribbon is from Michaels.

Well today is a bit relaxing. My company is still here, but they went into the city today to visit with others so I have a moment to tidy up and get some food shopping and laundry done for my Lake George Trip next week. We are leaving on Saturday and of course I do not have a thing ready. We have been making this trip for the past ten years so it is just second nature to me already. Of course I always say I will not bring as much but that never happens. The ONLY thing that I have started to organize and make a list about is my crafting supplies and what I will be bringing with me!! A girl has priorities ya know!! LOL. So if you have read down this far, I am curious what would be some of your crafting staples be to go away on vacation for a week!! I just wonder what all of you CANT live without.

Have a fantastic day. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Butterfly Wishes

Hi Everyone! Jessica over at Whimsical Butterfly just came out with a new stamp set called Butterfly Wishes. It is being sold through The Greeting Farm and I was lucky enough to win a set from her last week. I was so excited when it arrived over the weekend and I just could not wait to ink it up.

I made today's card with dp scraps that I wanted to use up from my desk. My cardstock is Bermuda Bay, Always Artichoke and Kraft. My flowers are Prima, brads are from The Pink Hedgehog, ribbon is Kraft from SU and the lace is from Taylored Expressions.

I am off to enjoy the day with my company. Hope you enjoy yours. Thanks so much for stopping by!!

You're on my mind

Hello! I hope everyone is enjoying the beginning of the July 4th weekend. I have hubby and ds home today and dd had camp. I took my son Matthew to the market with me real early so I could avoid the rush of weekend party people!! There is nothing I hate more than the crowds on a holiday weekend of everyone rushing to the market for food. Call me a scrooge but it is really annoying. Like I have said before, I live in a beach community so food for the beach is a necessesity. I get it, but can't we just space ourselves out alittle. Maybe the city can give out numbers and times for everyone to have a turn at the market!! LOL. So enough of my ranting.

I REALLY love the card I made today. Funny thing is, I was straightening out my craft area yesterday and opened a drawer and found all my primas. I just totally forgot about them and have so neglected them. It is so true, out of site out of mind. So I pulled out a tube and based my card around the flowers I pulled out which are now on my card!! Aren't they gorgeous!!

My lockhardt image was stamped onto PTI Cardstock with memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with my copics. Now I have a question here...Is anyone interested in the copics that I use on my cards because I see alot of people do list or take pictures of the colors but I have not so far so I will if you want me too. Then my dsp is from American Crafts which I purchased over at Michaels. My ribbon is also American Crafts, the large brads in the center of the flowers are from SU and the silver baubles are from Stamping Bella. Also my cardstock is all SU and I used Always Artichoke, Bravo Burgandy and Very Vanilla.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a fantastic day and thanks so much for your wonderful comments. They really make my day and I love to come back over and visit you too and make new friends!!! Bye for now!!

Fun in the sun

A happy and sun shiny day to everyone!! Boy am I happy when the sun is out. I am also happy that there is a long weekend coming up and that one of my sisters is coming for a visit with my niece. Fun Fun!! She lives in Ohio and we don't get to see her very often so I am looking forward to a nice visit and my daughter and her daughter text each other all the time so they cant wait to see each other!!

My card today is a simple and quick one. I used my Make a Splash stamp from Paper Pretties. She was a SOTM. Isn't she sweet. I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black onto PTI Cardstock and colored her with my copics. All of my paper, the colored cardstock and the designer paper are from one of Taylored Expressions Key Ingredient packs. They are so much fun because they have everything you need to make cards and everything is perfectly matched. I LOVE that!! The only thing I added was an orange polka dot button I had from Doodlebugs, some orange hemp thread a few baubles and some paper piercing.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you are having a fantastic day also!!

Oh and one last thing. If you havn't noticed, I have been changing my blog background alot lately. I just could not get a good feel for anything I liked. What do you think of this one I am using?

Is it a bird, is it a fairy....its a flutterby Huggabug!!

Hi All and welcome to Flutterby Wednesday over at Dannis Dreams. Well if you read my blog (and you must because you are here!!) then you know on Wednesday I create a card using a butterfly or a fairy for the Flutterby Wednesday team. Well this week I may be stretching it alittle. My image is not exactly a butterfly or a fairy but it IS a Flutterby Huggabug. So Danni, I hope this counts!! LOL.

My image was stamped by my friend Karen with Memento Tuxedo black and I colored with my copics and then cut her out with my circle nesties and mounted her onto a scalloped circle nestie to which I added white dots. My dp is from Razzleberry Lemonade and K & Company (or is it just K & Co? I foget) My ribbon is from the Summer bundle at MFT, my sentiment is Stamping Bella and the little ribbon brads in the corner are from Karen Foster.

When you get a moment, take a look at the beautiful work from the rest of the DT and get inspired because you can play along too. Just upload a card made with a butterfly or fairy to either SCS or PCP with the keyword FBW. Have fun and have a fantastic day!!
