Happy Fall!!

I am so happy that Fall is here. It happens to be my favorite time of year. I love the cooler weather. Cool but not cold, so when I received this stamp from The Rubber Cafe I knew it would make the PERFECT Fall card. I just love how this came out. Simple and just letting the image shine and I live at the beach so this kind of reminds me of beach grass too.

The image is called Wheat Circle and is from The Rubber Cafe. I colored with copics and mounted it on a scalloped circle. I chose simple embellies with the linen thread, button and baubles (which I found at my LSS). Now if you are all about the Fall and especially Thanksgiving, head on over to The Rubber Cafe Blog and check out what I created for a Thanksgiving Table. It is pretty neat.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Enjoy your weekend!!!

Sweet Sunday Sketch SSSC90

Okay so when I get something new to play with in my craft room I get motivated right?? Dont we all?? Well recently I tried the X Press Bind It Coloring Paper and OMG.....I am in coloring heaven. That is all I have to say. My friend gave me a piece to try and I have used EVERY inch of that paper and am now waiting on an order of my own to come in. All I can say, if you love your copics....you will love them even more with this paper.

So I pulled out a stamp that I ordered a few months ago from The Cats Pajamas called Forget about the cake. I followed Karen Girons Sweet Sunday Sketch SSSC90 and paired it all up with some super fun paper from Echo Park. Then I created a simple ribbon and button cluster and called it a day!!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Enjoy your day!!!

2 weeks of Mercys Challenges

I am thrilled to have been able to play along with last and this weeks challenges from Mercy Kerin. MTSC96 and MTSC97. For the first one I used an older PTI stamp set called Vintage Picnic and for this week I used a set from There She Goes Stamps called Puppy Love. I colored both images with my copics and all my dp were scraps on my desk so they are a mish mash of a few different designers. Brads are SU, ribbon is from Michaels and that cute crocheted flower was purchased from a talented lady on etsy.

That is all for me today...off to have my hair done. Need a cut and color. Soooo boring just sitting there....I am not one who enjoys sitting in a salon. Weird huh???

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a good day!!!

Happy Tuesday and with that comes another AWESOME sketch challenge from Skipping Stones Design which has been created for us by Karen Giron. Now I must admit I was alittle intimidated by this sketch when I first saw it but oh my what fun I had when I got started.

For today's card I used two sets from Skipping Stones...Grunge and Cancer Schmancer. I love the way this new set, Grunge, can be used for both feminine and masculine cards. I stamped my images in Real Red ink. My dp is Girls Paperie Tinsel and Twigs....can you say yummy!!!!!( I always have love affairs with new paper and boy am I in love with this new paper!!!!) Then I finished things off with some black rhinestones and a sheer black ribbon and bow.

So please come and play along with us this week. You can be in the running to win a stamp set at half price from Skipping Stones Design.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Please leave some love for my DT sisters this week too. They are listed on my sidebar. I have seen their creations and boy will you be inspired!!!

Happy Holidays

Have you ever created a card....loved it when you made it and then when you go to post you think of everything you should have done different. Today is one of those days for me. I had so much fun with today's sketch though from Little Paper Shop. It is an awesome sketch, but I am not loving all the green I used on this card. It just looks washed out to me!!! But to fill you in alittle about it, I used two separate stamp sets from Little Paper Shop, Katie Christmas and Merry and Bright. My dp is Basic Grey and I added a bunch of chocolate pearls that I bought at Michaels and my ribbon and prima are from Michaels also.

As always a prize is up for grabs this week for a random player. Head on over to the Little Paper Shop Blog for all the deets and to check out the rest of the DT creations.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you have a Happy Monday.

Warm Wishes

Hi Everyone. Hope your weekend is off to a great start!! I was doing alittle creating with a new set I received from The Rubber Cafe called Warm Wishes. This is a fun set that can easily create mass amounts of cards for your holiday season. Just by swapping out your ink color and different Designer Paper you can change things up and keeping the layout makes it easy to duplicate.

For todays card I used black ink and my dp is from DCWV. My brads, ribbon and prima were in stash.

Enjoy your day today. I will be back again with some more creations.

A Grungy Sketch for You!!!

Hi All!!! It's Tuesday and that means our weekly Tuesday Sketch (SSD47) for you over at Skipping Stones Design. Once again our sketch is brought to us by our Guest Sketch Artist Karen Giron and we have also incorporated a newly released set that you will love called Grunge. You have to check out the fabby backgrounds with this awesome masculine set. And although it leans toward the masculine, you will see alot of feminine cards being made with it from our DT including mine!!!

For todays card I used the woodgrain background stamp on the yellow cardstock and stamped it in versamark so it is a very light texture look IRL. The butterfly and sentiment are from the other newly released set called Cancer Schmancer and don't forget that with the purchase of this set in the month of October, $4 is going to be donated to the Susan B Komen Foundation for breast cancer research.

SSD45 Halloweenie!!!

Hello All!! I am super excited to share my creation with you today. You see, I am not a huge fan of Halloween. I just never really got all the excitement over Halloween cards but today I created what I think is an Elegant Halloween ensemble using a really cute set from Skipping Stones Design called Halloweenie, and being it is Tuesday, we have a Skipping Stones Sketch Challenge for you to play with which was created by our Sketch Guest Karen Giron. I have always loved her sketches and I was thrilled when she was announced as our Guest Sketch Artist for the month of October!!! We are also welcoming a new Guest Designer this month and that is the super talented Shannon Tuebner.

So onto my creation. I stamped the ghost image, cut it out, sponged the edges slightly with plum ink and popped it up on the circle focal panel. My dp was purchased at my LSS and I beleive it was called Heebie Jeebies. Creepy and Elegant at the same time. Then I just wrapped up a few Hershey and Crunch Mini Bars with dp and cardstock and tied a big fun ribbon around then and topped it with a paper prima. Viola!!! I will be making a bunch of these little gifties for a few special people this month!!!

So dont forget to stop by Skipping Stones Design to check out the new Sketch and all the deets for the challenge. Cant wait to see what you come up with!!!! Have a super great day!!
