Simply Limited

This is my card for todays Limited Sketch Challenge LSC205 over on SCS. We had to make a Clean and Simple (CAS) card using very little supplies. Well, this was VERY hard for me. I am just getting the hang of putting more layers and embellishments on my cards and now they ask me to take it all away!!! Phewy! Well I did the best I could and on SU Whisper White Cardstock I stamped the flower from SU's Live Life Like you Mean It set. I inked it up with Garden Green and then wiped off the one petal and with a pink marker colored that one petal, huffed, and stamped. Then I stamped my sentiment which is from Full of Life, in Brilliance Orchid ink. And I am done!! So simple and I actually like the results. It took me all of ten minutes to make but I thought about it for some time. What do you think? You should give it a try too. Really fun.

My next card tonight was for a yahoo group I belong too. We had to use an image that someone sent us, make a card with it and send it to someone in the group. This image I received is from Hanna Stamps I believe and it is a HUGE image. I am a creature of habit and only make a few different sized cards so I had to make this work for me. I colored her with my copics and used ribbon from my stock and the sentiment was made with my new slice machine. I am having so much fun with this little thing.

So thanks so much for stopping by. Hopefully by tomorrow I will have my new siggy on the blog and my GORGEOUS new watermark that I purchased from Jami. I will get all her info together for the blog tomorrow in case you want to contact her.

Have a great night.

Flutter by Wednesdays

Well I am excited to tell everyone that Danni over at Dannis Dream Crafts has asked me to join her Flutter by Wednesdays team. What fun and what a great group of talented women. This is my card for this week. I used my new butterflies set from Inkadinkado, created my own DSP, embossed my large butterfly in black EP, used my itty bitty backgrouns stamp from SU for the polka dots and then put it all together. Love it!! Go and check out Dannis blog because she is super talented and check out the rest of the teams "Flutterbys" today.
Thanks for checking me out today!

Slice Debut

Hi Everyone!! For my birthday my DH bought me the new Making Memories Slice Machine. I am LOVING it. It cuts in sizes ranging from 1" to 4" so it is great for card making and I bought a few different cartridges to go with it so I have plenty to play with. For my card today, which is for the Color Challenge over on SCS, #CC203, I made the sentiment with my slice. I think it was the perfect finish for this card. I cut my embossed Upsy Daisy image with my nesties, my dragonfly is embossed, trimmed out and popped up on dimentionals. I used my swiss dots folder for the Garden Green panel and my ribbon (which I have been hording for awhile) actually came from a package I got in the mail so I dont even know whose ribbon it is but it works so well with this card. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great evening.

What a nice surprise!!

My bella sistah Carrie sent me the most incredible birthday card and gift. You have to just look at the pictures below to get the idea. It is a pot of flowers and then you pull up on the top flowers to reveal the inside of the card. SUPAH CUTE!! She is so amazingly talented. Then if that wasn't special enough she also sent me an adorable birthday house of mouse stamp. Thanks so much Carrie!!!

Then my card to share with you tonight was a quick little card I made with a set from SNSS called Warm Up. I used some really cute paper that I found at Michaels from Making Memories called Chloe. All of my cardstock is SU. I used my new lace border punch from MS. I used my labels one nesties and the ribbon is also from the MM Chloe set. Oh and buttons were in my stash.

Thanks so much for stopping by tonight and have a great evening.

Oh What Fun We Had!!

Well yesterday was my big day and like I said, I had a few of my crafting friends over to celebrate in full crafting style. We had so many laughs and I bought all of the girls lots of fun goodies to take home. In the picture is me and Jodi (kharmagirl) and seated is Jodi, Debbie and Lily. Loreen from Wish on a Scrap was here also but left before I remembered to whip out the camera. What a great way to celebrate a birthday. THANKS GIRLS!!

So onto some business. I made this card for this weeks challenge over at Paper Pretties. We had to use this particular stamp called Howdy Girlfriend, (isn't she adorable) and we had to use eyelets on our card. I don't know if you can see them but I put an eyelet on every other scallop in my oval and then I tied linen thread in each eyelet to kind of represent either tassel or a lasso. Both work with this image!! I think it came out pretty cute. I dont work with eyelets very often so this was a fun challenge. My cardstock is all SU. My paper piecing was done with paper from Washington Apple and Ski Slope. I also embossed with the paisley folder.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day.

Without Bear Hugs

Hi Everyone!! These two cards tonight were made with RAK items that I have been stashing away. I wish I knew who made the DSP's and this ADORABLE teddy bear image. So if you recognize it please let me know.

The first card uses RAK image and paper. My sentiment is from TAC. I added ribbon, fibers and skittles. I embellished with my white gel pen and embossed with my cuttlebug. Coloring was done with my copics.

For this second card, again I dont know where the DSP is from but I loved it so much and did not want to cover it so I made a very simple card. My sentiments are from H& M and I used my oval punches to cut them out and added a really nice black ribbon.

I spent the day getting ready for my friends to come over tomorrow night to stamp and celebrate my bday. I am soo excited and cant think of a better way to spend my birthday than with my friends. WHOO HOO!!! I will take lots of pictures and post them tomorrow night.

Have a great night!!

Butterfly Butterfly fly away....

I made this card for Danni's Flutter by Wednesday. It is so much fun because everyone makes a beautiful fluttery Butterfly card and they are so beautiful to look at.

For this card I used Brocade Blue cardstock and ink and I stamped a new Butterfly that I bought from Inkadinkado. I embellished it with Crystal Stickles and my spica pen. The sentiment is SU.

My next card was made for todays sketch challenge over at SCS. SC212. I used some delicious paper from SEI Dill Blossom and my Pocket Silhouettes stamps. I embossed with my swiss dots folder and added a few skittles and then added the beautiful butterfly in gold and brown that I found in the Wedding section of Michaels. What a great find. I love these butterflys. I got 12 of them for 2.99. What a steal!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great night.

Bright and Fun having a birthday

Well I have two cards to show you today. The first card is one I made with what is I think my fav SU paper. Muirfield. It is so bright and fun!! I used my Pocket Silhouettes and Full of Life stamps also. Then I whipped out my fibers that I had not used in SOO LONG. It added just the perfect touch with my new silver charms that I bought at Michaels. They were a great buy at $1.99 for 25 in the Wedding Section.

My next card was a wonderful surprise in the mail today. My birthday is this Friday and my good blog buddie Danni remembered and sent me the MOST LOVELY card. I just had to share it with everyone. She is super talented and the card is all glittery which you cant really see in the picture.
Thanks so much Danni!!! You made my day.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great night.

Birthday Celebrations Color Challenge

Made this card for todays Color Challenge over at SCS. CC202. Well I didnt pay very good attention because I was supposed to use Regal Rose, Bravo Burgandy and Kiwi Kiss and I used Rose Red instead. Dont know where my head was at. But I hope you like it anyway.

I used SU Parisian Summer and Ski Slope DSP. All SU cardstock. Brads and baubles and the Upsy Daisy stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Sweet Valentine

Hi Everyone!!

I went to Michaels today and found these cute little heart doilies and the little silver ribbon charm in the wedding section so of course a Valentine card was in the making. I had a challenge coloring my Tilda today because I just did not have the correct colors that I needed so I did the best I could. I guess I will have to look into adding more colors to my set.

Once again, I do not know the name of this Magnolia stamp but I cut her out and propped her up on my ribbon. My cardstock is all SU and my DSP is from Amy Butler. I used a corner punch for decoration and some Oyster Baubles from Stamping Bella. I also embossed the back panel with my Swiss dots folder.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I am on to see if they posted the color challenge on SCS.

Friend

I never did this weeks sketch challenge over on SCS for some reason so I decided to give it a try today. I also took out paper that I had and never opened. CAN YOU IMAGINE? A crafting item bought and not used. Impossible. LOL. So I used this adorable Magnolia whose name I do not know. How do you all remember their names. They are not on the packages. Any whoo.....My paper is from SU Muirfield and my cardstock is all SU too. Primas and brad, nesties for sentiment and we have ourselves a card. Oh and of course I used my copics to color.

Now here is my big question and maybe it has been asked before and I missed everyones answer BUT...on the Magnolias do you color thier hands as if in mittens with the winter stamps or do you color them in flesh tones? I never thought about this until today but would like to know what everyone else does.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Fairytale Love

This is my card for this weeks Featured Stamper over at SCS. Her name is Lori Craig and she is super talented. Here is her card I chose to case:

http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1180628?cat=12594

I chose to keep her gorgeous layout and changed the colors, paper and sentiment.

My gorgeous DSP that I love so much and have been hording for awhile is from Amy Butler. MMMM so delish. My cardstock is SU and so is my sentiment which is from Full of Life. Love this set. I used my scallop punch from SU for the trim and made my swirl from a sizzix die in my cuttlebut. Flowers are prima and silver baubles are from Stamping Bella

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope you enjoyed my card.

Chill Out!

Hi Everyone! Well considering how very cold it is here on Long Island I decided to make an appropriate card for the weather. We are going through a real cold spell right now that I know alot of you either have or are experiencing also. BRRRR....and to tell you how nerdy I am about the cold, I went out to Walgreens and bought my whole family Snuggies. Have you seen them on TV? Yup those are the ones. We look HYSTERICAL in them but I have to say I am warm and toasty in the house. If you happen to have a Walgreens by you they are on sale for $14.99.

So onto my last card for today. I used a set from Missy B designs. I made my own DP stamping the snowflakes in Burgandy onto the pink panel. Then I cuttlebugged the burgandy panel in my snowflake embossing folder. Colored my "chilly" guy with my copics, added some ribbon and brads and there you have it. Oh and I dotted with a white gel pen.

Hope you are all having a great 3 day weekend. More tomorrow from me and my snuggie!!

There's a mouse in the house

I just love these little House Mouse stamps but have been so afraid to color them with my new copics. I have alot of learning when it comes to the shading but I felt brave today and gave this little girl a shot. I think she came out pretty good.

I used my copics and spica pen to color her. My paper is SU cardstock and DCWV DSP. I used my oval nesties to cut her out and my tags for the sentiment which is from Stamping Bella. Cuttlebugged the pink panel in swiss dots and ran a brown ribbon through the sentiment. Simple.

Thanks for taking a looksie!!

Inspired by

Good Morning Everyone. Here is my card for todays Inspiration Challenge #IC163 over on SCS. We had to pick a picture from Pottery Barn Teen to inspire us. NOT HARD to find something. This is what I picked:

http://www.pbteen.com/products/p3763/index.cfm?pkey=cgirls-duvet-covers

I made this last night while stamping with my good friend Jodi. When I walk into her stamping room I feel like I am in HEAVEN. She is super organized, has more room than me and tons more goodies than I do. I feel like a kid in a candy store and her work is so SUPER amazing and I learn something new from her all the time. Thanks for a great time Jodi!!

I will be stamping all day today so I am sure I will be back later.

Just Ducky

I made this card as an entry for the Feb Guest Design Spot over at Whimsy Stamps. I used their stamp Duck from the Animal Collection. I got my new labels nesties yesterday and I played with them on this card. Have you seen the new nesties coming out??? OMG!! My cardstock is SU and my DSP is Washington Apple. I colored with my copics and added skittles and some ribbon. I love the way this card came out. This little duck is way too cute and I love the paper with him.

Thanks for stopping by. I will probably have another post later today.

My Friend

I had the WORST time with this card. First of all, I dont work with Kraft very often so this was challenge #1. Then I was obsessing over my layout. I needed it to be just so and it was not coming out that way. So I just gave in. THEN!!! I took the picture of my card and packed my light box away and looked at my enlarged picture and there is this tiny white string on my card in the picture....but it is not on my card....the weirdest thing. THEN when looking at my enlarged picture again I see the tiny shards on my paper that is telling me my blade needs to be changed on my trimmer. SOOO you see although I do like this card I had a few challenges with it.

I made it for the color challenge over at SCS #CC201. Colors were Kraft, Not Quite Navy and Baja Breeze. My stamp is from SU. Upsy Daisy. My sentiment is from Stampendous. All cardstock is SU and so is my DSP (I believe I used Urban Garden). Navy brads are from American Crafts.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Enjoy your night.

Turtle Love

I made this card today for the Whimsy Stamps challenge over on PCP. We had to use black in our card. I am really happy with the way this turned out. I love this little turtle guy. So adorable, as are all of the Whimsy Stamps.

My cardstock is all SU. DSP is SU from Ski Slope which I had to stock up on because I LOVE this paper. Ribbon is SU and flowers are primas.

I hope everyone is okay braving the cold. Here on Long Island we are in a real cold spell right now. Teens with a wind chill. YUK. I am sitting here wrapped in my big thick bathrobe over my clothes and I will tell you, the cold is really sapping my energy. Does this happen to anyone else? I just feel so unmotivated to do anything but keep warm!!

Hope you are having a great night. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Missy B Color Challenge

Hi All!! I am posting my card that I made for the color challenge over at Missy B Designs on PCP. It was to use kraft, mellow moss and not quite navy. Not an easy color combo for me so I hope I did it justice. I used their Trees stamps and sentiment. Very simple and clean. I did not even feel the tree needed coloring. I just stamped it in Not Quite Navy and put white dots around my scalloped edge with my white gel pen from SU. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Take a break with a little luv..

Well my weekend company is gone and I am back to my craft table. WHOO HOO!! I made this cute little valentine card with an image I received in the mail. I just love these cute little bees. All my cardstock is SU. Some of my DSP is from Michaels and some is from SU (washington apple). I used my white gel pen from SU, red glitter from Martha Stewart and brads from BG.

My second card was made with an image from MFT. I have to say I think my two new images from them have to be my new favs. They are just so versatile. My cardstock is again SU, my DSP is from SU Washington Apple, ribbon from my stock and brads from BG.

Have a great night and thanks for stopping by.

Isnt Chocolate a food group??

As I said yesterday, I would be using the same layout for todays card. Except today I made my card for the Monday Challenge over at SNSS. I used an incredible set from SNSS called chocolate. If you like chocolate and have friends that like chocolate, this set is for you!! My DSP is from SEI called Alpine Frost (I think??). My flowers are primas with tiny buttons in the center. I used a fiskars corner punch on the plaid, my oval nesties, and a corner rounder from SU. Thanks so much for stopping by and check out this set over at SNSS.

I made this card for the Whimsy Stamps Challenge over at PCP. They wanted us to design a card with flowers. Love it!! I used my new whimsy stamp from the animal collection called Duck. He is so cute!! My DSP was purchased at Michaels ages ago. Dont even know the name. I dry embossed with my cuttlebug the two square layers and the side sentiment. Then added some primas and a few skittles and I am done!! My layout was from the SNSS challenge for Monday. I will use it again tomorrow for my SNSS challenge card. Wish on A Scrap Challenge

Hi All, I am busy busy today getting caught up on a couple of challenges. The first challenge I did was the one over at Wish on a Scrap

The design team challenged us to make a card based on "what we wear". So me being the yoga pants and tank top kind of gal I made this bella. Now mind you, I DO NOT have a body like this bella nor do I work out like this bella. (although I have resolved to start to tomorrow), but the stamp seemed to be the only thing close to what I wear. The DSP colors however are me. Greens, greys, blues and black. Thanks so much for looking and head over to WOAS for more deets on the challenge.

A Great New Sketch

I was blogging along the other day and stumbled across a new site for me. Caardvarks. They have a really cool sketch challenge going on right now that I just had to sink my teeth into. I just love this layout. My DSP was from the Old World set of DCWV. Prima flowers. Brads are Hodgepodge Hardware from SU. Flourish is a sizzix die cut. I hope you like it as much as I do. (hehe). Thanks for stopping by and have a great night!!

Glasses????

Well I finally got a chance to ink up my new "Sending you my love" SOTM from Paper Pretties. Isn't she sweet? I colored her with my copics. My dsp is from Michaels and SU (washington apple) and all my card stock is SU.

Now if you look carefully I went out of the lines a few times. Want to know why???? I finally broke down today and admitted that I need to wear reading glasses. It has been getting worse and worse and I just could not deal anymore so my husband gave me a pair of his old glasses to try and WOWSA!! I could see!! So now I need to go to the eyedoctor and get my own prescription because his are just alittle too strong for me. Hence going out of the lines while I was coloring!! LOL Well thanks so much for stopping by and have a great night.

Her first tilda and cd tin album

Happy New Year to everyone!! Hope you all had a safe night last night and are celebrating with family and friends today. Today is my day to have everyone over for all of the leftovers. It is something we have done for the past 10 years because I am notorious for ordering too much food every year. Well this year we actually went to someone elses house for New Years but I am still having my New Years Day leftover get together. We will just empty out our freezers of all our snack foods and get together.

Meanwhile my niece had her baby 6 weeks early. Everyone is doing well and the baby is home already but I just had to get busy making her a CD tin photo album. Also like I promised my daughter finished her first tilda card ALL BY HERSELF!! She did such a great job. So enjoy the pictures and let me know what you think!! Have a great day
