Skipping Stones Design Sketch 57

Its Tuesday and that means another awesome sketch challenge from Skipping Stones Design. This is the last sketch for our December sketch artist Maille Belle and I have enjoyed them so much. I hope you have too. For todays card I used the super funny set called You know your getting old when....I stamped the cute flip flops in Pumpkin Pie ink and cut them out with my circle punches. My dp is a stack I purchased at Michaels last year. I used a cream ribbon and dark blue button with some bakers thread through it to finish things off.

Then of course to finish the sentiment I went and finished the inside of my card. How hysterical is that sentiment!!!!

Head on over to Skipping Stones Design to see all the DT samples for some inspiration. Then come join us with the challenge!!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Have some Cattitude!!!

So I am sitting here very patiently waiting for my Hubbys Dr to call with the results of todays surgery. The second back surgery this week. I have so much nervous energy I just dont know what to do with myself. Then I remembered this little card I made and never posted so here I am. This little sweet cat and sentiment is from an adorable set from There She Goes called Cattitude I borrowed it from my friend Jodi but I must get a set for myself. How sassy is this little kitty!!!

I stamped onto Xpress Blending Paper and colored with my copics. My paper is Pixilicious and my ribbon is PTI (except the lacy one...not sure where that came from). Then if I remember correctly my layout was a Sweet Sunday Sketch from quite a few weeks ago.

Thanks so much for popping in and giving me a reason to keep busy!!! Hope you like the card!!! I could actually use that cocktail in the cats hand right about now!!!! Have a good one.

Just a quick one

Needed a cheerful Birthday card so I decided to pull out my sweet little CC Designs and make this card. I stamped onto Xpress Blending Paper and colored with my copics. My dp is October Afternoon. Ribbon and flower were purchased at Michaels and my cork border is from MFT and created with their Die Namics scalloped border die. Then I added tiny little pearls around my scallops for alittle finishing touch. Isnt this little girl so sweet?

Hope everyone enjoyed their holiday weekend and that you did some good holiday shopping. My family has a busy week ahead of us. Chanukah starts this Wednesday night so I have a ton of wrapping to do and latkes to make!!! Then my hubby goes in for back surgery next Monday so that will be a bit consuming. His hospital is in Manhattan so I will be traveling back and forth until he gets home. Hopefully he will be able to come home after a week. That is his goal. Lets see how his body reacts right??

Thanks so much for stopping by. I will be back on Tuesday with my Skipping Stones Sketch Challenge Card.

A Fond Farewell

Hi everyone. Hope you had a great weekend. I have been busy mass producing my holiday cards for the last few days and when I went to make my Little Paper Shop Challenge card today I realized that I had been making it for days. The challenge today is to use die cuts. Well as you can see I used my Labels Nine Nesties for this simple little card. The stamp set used is called Merry and Bright. My dp is from The Girls Paperie called Tinsel and Twigs. Cardstock is Cherry Cobbler from SU and my ribbon is a silk from May Arts.

So I am sad to say that today will be my last post as a DT member for Little Paper Shop. Due to other personal obligations I needed to step down from the team but I will be sure to be playing along as often as I can with the Monday Challenges.

So head on over to the Little Paper Shop Blog, check out the DT samples and see what the prize is for this week. Come and play along. I know you all have all kinds of different die cuts.

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Skipping Stones Feature Set and Sketch

We have another fun sketch for you this week from Skipping Stones Design and with it we are featuring a gorgeous holiday set called Christmas Swirls. This is a super versatile set that requires no coloring so you can really bang out your holiday cards with ease.

For todays card I pulled out some super old DCWV paper called Luxury Stack. The papers are so elegant and that was the look I was going for this week. My two kraft panels were embossed with two different folders and I pulled everything together with some fabu silk ribbon from May Arts and a pearl center.

Head on over to Skipping Stones Design to check out the sketch for you to play along with this week and dont forget to pick up the Christmas Swirls set while you are over there. It is listed under Seasonal Stamps. Also please leave some love for the rest of the DT. They are listed on my sidebar!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Have a great day.

So I am reaching out to all my blogging friends for your best warm and cozy recipes. Anything good you want to share? Just email me if you could with something yummy!!! akranitz at msn dot com

Thinking of you

Well we are half way through the week....the 3rd of November already and I need to get my tush in gear to get ready for Thanksgiving and Chanukah. Chanukah is so early this year....actually starts on December 2nd so I seriously have less than a month to pull it all together and we are hosting Thanksgiving this year so I better start cleaning the house now!!! LOL....Anyhow, I have been real crafty lately and for todays card I pulled out an older PTI set called Autumn Abundance. I stamped with memento tuxedo black on XPress Bind It paper and colored with my copics. My dp is a mix of some scraps that I found in my stash and my ribbon is from MFT.

Well I am off to catch up on some chores. Thanks for popping in today. Love it when you all visit!!! Have a great day.

Little Paper Shop Monday

Happy Monday. It is going to be a strange week because the kids are off tomorrow so tonight will not be a normal school night and then tomorrow they will probably have a free for all with all of their Halloween Candy before I send the rest into work with hubby and then back to school for a short week. Gotta love it!!! What I don't love is ALL of the solicitation phone calls I am getting for all of the candidates running for office tomorrow. Very annoying in my humble opinion. So enough of my ranting!!! Today is Little Paper Shop Monday and we have a fun challenge for you this week. Buttons and Bows!!! We want to see your bestest cards made with buttons and bows. I know you all can do that!!! Check out the Little Paper Shop blog for all of the deets and to see the rest of the DT creations.

For my card today I used the set Merry and Bright. With my Labels 9 nesties I cut out the cream base and with Desert Sand memento ink stamped the tiny snowflakes all around. The sentiment was stamped with Rich Cocoa. Then for the centers of the flakes I used some gold stickles. My dp is Tinsel and Twigs by Girls Paperie. Ribbon and button were in stash. I really like how this came out and I think I will duplicate it a few times for the holidays. Simple yet elegant right??

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Enjoy all of your day!!!

Happy Fall!!

I am so happy that Fall is here. It happens to be my favorite time of year. I love the cooler weather. Cool but not cold, so when I received this stamp from The Rubber Cafe I knew it would make the PERFECT Fall card. I just love how this came out. Simple and just letting the image shine and I live at the beach so this kind of reminds me of beach grass too.

The image is called Wheat Circle and is from The Rubber Cafe. I colored with copics and mounted it on a scalloped circle. I chose simple embellies with the linen thread, button and baubles (which I found at my LSS). Now if you are all about the Fall and especially Thanksgiving, head on over to The Rubber Cafe Blog and check out what I created for a Thanksgiving Table. It is pretty neat.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Enjoy your weekend!!!

Sweet Sunday Sketch SSSC90

Okay so when I get something new to play with in my craft room I get motivated right?? Dont we all?? Well recently I tried the X Press Bind It Coloring Paper and OMG.....I am in coloring heaven. That is all I have to say. My friend gave me a piece to try and I have used EVERY inch of that paper and am now waiting on an order of my own to come in. All I can say, if you love your copics....you will love them even more with this paper.

So I pulled out a stamp that I ordered a few months ago from The Cats Pajamas called Forget about the cake. I followed Karen Girons Sweet Sunday Sketch SSSC90 and paired it all up with some super fun paper from Echo Park. Then I created a simple ribbon and button cluster and called it a day!!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Enjoy your day!!!

2 weeks of Mercys Challenges

I am thrilled to have been able to play along with last and this weeks challenges from Mercy Kerin. MTSC96 and MTSC97. For the first one I used an older PTI stamp set called Vintage Picnic and for this week I used a set from There She Goes Stamps called Puppy Love. I colored both images with my copics and all my dp were scraps on my desk so they are a mish mash of a few different designers. Brads are SU, ribbon is from Michaels and that cute crocheted flower was purchased from a talented lady on etsy.

That is all for me today...off to have my hair done. Need a cut and color. Soooo boring just sitting there....I am not one who enjoys sitting in a salon. Weird huh???

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a good day!!!

SSD48

Happy Tuesday and with that comes another AWESOME sketch challenge from Skipping Stones Design which has been created for us by Karen Giron. Now I must admit I was alittle intimidated by this sketch when I first saw it but oh my what fun I had when I got started.

For today's card I used two sets from Skipping Stones...Grunge and Cancer Schmancer. I love the way this new set, Grunge, can be used for both feminine and masculine cards. I stamped my images in Real Red ink. My dp is Girls Paperie Tinsel and Twigs....can you say yummy!!!!!( I always have love affairs with new paper and boy am I in love with this new paper!!!!) Then I finished things off with some black rhinestones and a sheer black ribbon and bow.

So please come and play along with us this week. You can be in the running to win a stamp set at half price from Skipping Stones Design.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Please leave some love for my DT sisters this week too. They are listed on my sidebar. I have seen their creations and boy will you be inspired!!!

Happy Holidays

Have you ever created a card....loved it when you made it and then when you go to post you think of everything you should have done different. Today is one of those days for me. I had so much fun with today's sketch though from Little Paper Shop. It is an awesome sketch, but I am not loving all the green I used on this card. It just looks washed out to me!!! But to fill you in alittle about it, I used two separate stamp sets from Little Paper Shop, Katie Christmas and Merry and Bright. My dp is Basic Grey and I added a bunch of chocolate pearls that I bought at Michaels and my ribbon and prima are from Michaels also.

As always a prize is up for grabs this week for a random player. Head on over to the Little Paper Shop Blog for all the deets and to check out the rest of the DT creations.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you have a Happy Monday.

Warm Wishes

Hi Everyone. Hope your weekend is off to a great start!! I was doing alittle creating with a new set I received from The Rubber Cafe called Warm Wishes. This is a fun set that can easily create mass amounts of cards for your holiday season. Just by swapping out your ink color and different Designer Paper you can change things up and keeping the layout makes it easy to duplicate.

For todays card I used black ink and my dp is from DCWV. My brads, ribbon and prima were in stash.

Enjoy your day today. I will be back again with some more creations.

You have to check out the fabby backgrounds with this awesome masculine set. And although it leans toward the masculine, you will see alot of feminine cards being made with it from our DT including mine!!!

For todays card I used the woodgrain background stamp on the yellow cardstock and stamped it in versamark so it is a very light texture look IRL. LPSC89 Color Challenge

Good Morning!!! Happy Columbus Day!! Kiddlets are home from school today so it will totally throw off my schedule. Love the slower pace when they are home....hate my routine being thrown off. KWIM?? So onto my Little Paper Shop card for you today. We have a really fun color challenge for you. Blue, Chocolate and Yellow. Yummy colors right?? For my card I pulled out my much loved Little Paper Shop sentiment sets called Everyday and I Heart I just love all of the heartfelt sentiments in these sets and of course this tiny whispy flower from the I Heart set which you can barely see in this picture but it is stamped lightly in Memento Dandelion in the background of the sentiment.

So as for everything else on this card. Well, all was in stash so I am not quite sure where they came from but I enjoy the way this came out.

Please come and play along with us this week. You can win a prize of course and what great inspiration these colors are!!! Check out all the deets on The Little Paper Shop Blog along with more eye candy from the rest of the DT.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by today.

SSD45 Halloweenie!!!

Hello All!! I am super excited to share my creation with you today. You see, I am not a huge fan of Halloween. I just never really got all the excitement over Halloween cards but today I created what I think is an Elegant Halloween ensemble using a really cute set from Skipping Stones Design called Halloweenie, and being it is Tuesday, we have a Skipping Stones Sketch Challenge for you to play with which was created by our Sketch Guest Karen Giron. I have always loved her sketches and I was thrilled when she was announced as our Guest Sketch Artist for the month of October!!! We are also welcoming a new Guest Designer this month and that is the super talented Shannon Tuebner.

So onto my creation. I stamped the ghost image, cut it out, sponged the edges slightly with plum ink and popped it up on the circle focal panel. My dp was purchased at my LSS and I beleive it was called Heebie Jeebies. Creepy and Elegant at the same time. Then I just wrapped up a few Hershey and Crunch Mini Bars with dp and cardstock and tied a big fun ribbon around then and topped it with a paper prima. Viola!!! I will be making a bunch of these little gifties for a few special people this month!!!

So dont forget to stop by Skipping Stones Design to check out the new Sketch and all the deets for the challenge. Cant wait to see what you come up with!!!! Have a super great day!!

This, after she makes the swim team and I spend a truck load of money on equipment for her.....so yes....crafting and blogging have been a bit behind but I do miss all of you and I will be back in the next few days!!! Hang in there with me!!!

Sketch #43 Skipping Stones

Hi and Happy Tuesday. I am back today with another awesome Tuesday sketch from Skipping Stones Design created this month by Ashley Cannon Newell. Along with the sketch, I am using a newly released set by Skipping Stones Design called Wisemen. It is absolutely beautiful as you can see here.

For today's card I stamped my image onto cardstock in brown memento ink. The North star was cut out and popped up on dimensionals. My ribbon was in stash and my border punch is fiskars. This gorgeous paper that I have used is from SU. I think it was two years ago but I loved it and stocked up on it and love that I can still play with it.

Why dont you play along with us this week. Head over to Skipping Stones Design, check out the sketch and while there you can check out this new awesome set called Wisemen which is now available for sale. Thanks so much for stopping by today and if you can, go check out the rest of the DT creations for today. They are amazing eye candy!!!!!

Happy Monday to you all!!! A very good friend of mine lost her father this past week and I needed a sympathy card.  Thank goodness for my DT sister Allison over at Little Paper Shop who created this awesome sketch that I was able to follow to create my card.

I used two separate sets today. Butterflies was used for the dragonfly, and Topiary was used for the sentiment. My dp is Cosmo Cricket's Wanted. Cardstock is chocolate chip and Always Artichoke and then I finished this card off with some golden brown sheer ribbon and tiny shimmery chocolate pearls.

Do you want to win a prize this week? Head on over to the Little Paper Shop blog, check out the sketch and play along with us!!! One random winner will be chosen. HAVE FUN!!! While you are over there you can check out the wonderful creations by the rest of the DT.

You will also want to check out the FABULOUS sketch for the week which was created by our guest Ashley Cannon Newell. It is SSD42. Okay now here are all the deets you will need to know to place an order or bid:

*********Thank You for you Support****************

Welcome to the 1st annual "Blogs 4 boobies" blog bounce(hop)!

We are so glad that you joined us today. This is a very special hop because every card/project that is show here in the "Blogs 4 Boobies" blog bounce is up for auction! We are teaming up with Skipping Stones Design to help raise money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
There are 2 ways that you can help!
1. Go shopping! For every stamp set that you purchase during Sept 15th through the 23rd Skipping Stones Design will donate $2 to the Komen Foundation. Stamping and shopping that you can feel good about !
2. Bid! If you see a card or a project along the hop that you like bid on it in the comment section of the blog post. See how to place a bid for more detailed instructions. If you are the highest bidder September 23rd 8:00 p.m. mountain time then you WIN the card/project that you bid on.

"How to place a bid"
Step #1
Find the comment section of the blog that shows the "Blogs 4 boobies" card or project that you want to buy. *Please note you may only bid on the card/project shown in the specific "blogs 4 boobies" post. *Any bids not placed on the correct post will be considered invalid.
Step #2
Once you are in the "blogs 4 boobies" comment section fill in the dollar and cents amount of what you are willing to pay for the card/project.
Step #3
Next to your $ bid please type in your email address. During a silent auction bidders sign their name next to their bid. typing your email address is the electronic equivalent of signing your bid. Also it will help the blogger contact you if you are the highest bidder.
Step #4
Watch and wait.
Once you have entered your bid/comment sit back and wait. If someone out bids you then you may bid again. Bidding will continue until 8:00 p.m. Mountain time September 23rd

* Please note that the participating stampers/bloggers will probably re-post their Blogs 4 Boobies card/project on the 23rd of September. If/when the blogger re-post their project then the bidding will continue on the NEWEST post and that comment section.

"What do I do once I place a bid"
Watch and Wait
The "Winner of the Auction" Will be the highest bid (that includes an email address)in the comment section of the MOST RECENT blogs 4 boobies post as of 8:00 p.m. Mountain Time on September 23rd

Things to keep in mind:
Near the end of the bidding you may not see bids as they come in. Most blog have a comment feature where the blogger must approve comments before they are published. So bid high. You might have the highest bid that is published, but someone might have outbid you in an unpublished comment/bid.
