Anything is Possible!!

Anything is possible.....and so it is.....this is a great little sentiment from my new acquired Verve set called Starstruck and I used it for this weeks Mojo Monday sketch MOJO123.

I started by cutting out my circle from Soft Suede cardstock with my scalloped circle nesties. Then I added a layer of Summer Sun and Very Vanilla. My dp is all from October Afternoon. Ribbon is very vanilla from SU and I finished things off with a tiny button and a few baubles from Stamping Bella. I also sponged around the edges of my sentiment with Memento Cantelope and Tangelo. I am loving this sweet little card.

I am getting ready to go and watch the movie It's Complicated which a friend of mine loaned me a copy of. I am looking forward to seeing this and I also have a copy of Julie and Julia to see tomorrow in between some stamping. Any one see any other good movies lately. I actually saw The Blind Side last week and I have to say....as fantastic as it was....I was really not all that wowed because I think I knew everything about the story before watching it. I was waiting to see something that I just did not hear about but that was not the case. So note to self....go see the movie as soon as it comes out and dont wait too long!!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a fantastic rest of your weekend.

Thanks for your kindness

Okay now how sweet is this little bear from Taylored Expressions? I have been hoarding this set called Beary Special for awhile without inking it up but Taylors Sketch Challenge TESC98 from 2 weeks ago just screamed for this image in my book.

I started by stamping my image three times. Once on cardstock, once on the printed paper and once on the red paper and then paper pieced the little bear that I cut out of the cardstock. I mounted that onto the grey, cream and red circles cut from my nesties. My gorgeous dp is my newly acquired October Afternoon which I finally found through a friend. All cardstock is SU and I finished this sweet card off with 3 tiny red buttons, one with linen thread tied in a bow.

It is bitter cold again here on Long Island. As you all know, my son is of Bar Mitzvah age and all of his class are making their Bar/Bat Mitzvahs this year so we are heading to Temple in a bit to celebrate with one of those children. I have to say that it is so wonderful to watch these children that we have known for years accomplish this wonderful task of reading from the Torah. I myself did not make my Bat Mitzvah but I am so very proud to be watching my son and his friends. My husband on the other hand did make his Bar Mitzvah and was Bar Mitzvahed in the same Temple we belong to know so it is extra special.

Thanks so much for taking a look today. Hope you enjoyed your visit. I will be back again tomorrow or maybe later with a sweet little card I made for Mojo Monday . Have a great weekend.

You and Me....

Another Friday hanging with Unity Peeps. I am enjoying Friends with Flair Fridays because it gives me a reason to whip out my Unity stamps. Todays card is made with an image and sentiment from the January KOTM. I paper pieced the flowers and leaves and my dp is all scraps I put together. I did some simple embellishing with some paper piercing and tiny twinkles. Simple but elegant I think!!

Want a chance to win some Unity stamps? Just check out this link for the FWF blog hop and find the Unity blinkie along the way and leave a message on that blog. Have fun checking out the awesome eye candy and good luck at that win.

Have an awesome day!!

Okay, phew....finally got a moment to take this picture and post this card. Flutterby Wednesday is an open week this week. For more details visit the blog here.

I chose a Stamping Bella Image this week called Funky Plants. To me this has such a 70's feel to it!! How earthy does this feel??? Then I added a fun sentiment also from Stamping Bella, "Lets Hang Out". This cracks me up. (I know it doesnt take much!!)

Make the most of Yourself!

Love this sentiment and I am loving the new Verve stamps that I purchased over the holidays. I went over to the Verve forum on SCS and I have been playing along with the weekly challenges. I made this card for the week 4 of  January. You can find the challenges here.

This was a simple card to make and yet took me so long to do it. I used dp from my SU Prints pack and from DCWV. My cardstock is all SU and the Verve set that I used was Seeing Stars. I then embellished with some paper piercing around my circle panel and used some black crystals that I picked up from Michaels the other day on sale!!

Thanks for stopping by today!!! It is a big day here in NY for football fans!! The NY Jets have one more game to win and then on to the Superbowl. They were such underdogs and it is so nice to see they have made it this far in the season. I will be wearing my new Jets hat later today and watching along with my boys!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

Oh how I love this sentiment and all of the fabulous sentiments in the January KOTM from Unity. I am hooked thanks to my friend Jessica. (thanks Jess!!). She has just done such wonderful things with the Unity stamps that I just could not resist signing up!!!

A couple of goodies that I worked on this weekend. The first one I have to show you is a quick little card I made for release day over at Little Paper Shop. It was made using the two brand new sets. I stamped the cute little mailbox for the Lily and Lucy Messages set onto PTI Cardstock and colored it with my copics. My sentiment and the big Love Heart are  from the set In Love and both were stamped with Real Red ink. My dp is a mix of some old SU and I cant believe it but I used no embellishments on this card but I think it is just adorable as it is. If you get a chance, head on over to Little Paper Shop to check these two new sets out!! They are super adorable and you will so want to take advantage of the 15% off coupon being offered until Feb 1st. Just use the word WINTER at checkout!!!

Another card I worked on this weekend was made with some new Verve stamps and I used one of Verves weekly challenges which I found here. Once again I used some old SU paper and all SU Cardstock  Even my ribbon is SU today. Sentiment and little flowers are both from Verve. For some reason this little card was really kicking my butt, but then I added some rounded corners, paper piercing and it seemed to pull everything together. What do you think?

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I have a few more Verve cards to show you later in the week and I will be back tomorrow with a new Flutterby Wednesday card.

LPSC51 In Love

I have another Little Paper Shop preview for you today and this set is a must have!! It is called In Love and boy have I fallen in love with it!! How gorgeous is that big open heart? Can you see all the possibilities? What I did today was create a CAS card for Valentines day. I started by stamping the heart onto purple cardstock with memento tuxedo black and then ran the panel through the cuttlebug with the swiss dots folder. My sentiment was stamped with versamark ink and then embossed with black embossing powder to make it really stand out. Then to finish things off, I tied a big bow and added a button (which is the challenge for today by the way, to use buttons on your card). What do you think? Dont forget that this set and yesterdays set will be available for purchase tomorrow from Little Paper Shop. Dont forget to play along with the button challenge this week. When you upload your card dont forget to use keyword LPSC51.  Also you will want to hop on over to the Little Paper Shop Blog and check out the awesome creations from the rest of the DT.

Taylored Birthday Boxes

Hi!! I am so excited to show you this little project I did after I saw the Taylored Expressions Design Team make them. It is a birthday book using Taylors Binder Boxes (which will be back in stock next week at Taylored Expressions) and her Birthday Calender Download. I made 2 of  them as holiday gifts and then one of the girls I gave it to asked for two as gifts for her cousins. This is the only one I took a picture of unfortunately but I love the way it came out.  I was asked to make it in green so I pulled out some really cute DP from DCWV Nana's Nursery for Boy and Girl. My cardstock is all SU and for my center initial I used my Just Right Stamps. This is such a fun project and everyone has been loving them!! My pictures are out of order but the first one is the monogrammed stationery I made, the second pix is of the inside pages, next is the back of the binder and the last pix is of the front of the binder. I finished off the spine in the same dp too. Then I pack up the stationery with a big fun bow and put it in the box with a pen and viola. A great gift for a girlfriend. Ya gotta give this a try.

So we are expecting a huge blast of cold weather this weekend as I know most of you are experiencing also. I am going to go food shopping tomorrow and stock up the house and bundle up for the weekend in my craft room. What are your weekend plans? Keeping warm I hope!! Do you own a snuggie?? I know, I know, they seem so silly but o my I have to tell you that it was money well spent because it is soooo cozy!! I recommend it!!

On that cozy note, I am going to get some sleep for the night. Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Little Paper Shop Monday with LPSC49

Our fab dt coordinator Pam Varnell, over at Little Paper Shop,  issued a color challenge for this week. Now I have to say I was a bit frightened with the thought of using bright pink, black and white on a card. This is definitely not my fav go to combo but thanks to Pam I DID challenge myself and I happen to like how this turned out. I wound up using Melon Mambo, Black and White. My dp is Raspberry Tart. The cute little image I used from Little Paper Shop is from the Little One set. I stamped the star and the sentiment onto white cardstock cut out with my new Blossom Nesties. I added a ton of bling to break things up a bit and then I dont know if you can see it, but there is a sheer black ribbon tied into a bow on the black panel. Cute huh??

Wanna win a prize? Up for grabs this week is {I heart}. Just come and play along with the challenge and use keyword LPSC49 when you upload so we can find you. Go check out what the rest of the team came up with also. All of thier cards are shown on the Little Paper Shop Blog.

Have a fantastic day. Thanks so much for stopping by.
