LPSC83

We have a fun color challenge this week for you at Little Paper Shop. Olive, Kraft and Orange. I felt a boy theme with these colors so I went with my cute little Bathing Tyson stamp today. I started by stamping my image and coloring with copics. I cut him out with circle nesties and scalloped circle nesties. I went with a simple layout using some Cosmo Cricket paper and 365 Degrees. Then I finished him off with an olive green bow, a hand rolled flower and a few orange crystals. LOVE this little guy. Please head over to the Little Paper Shop Blog for all the deets on this weeks contest and to check out the rest of the DT creations.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a fun day!!

Its a free for all!!!!!

Hi Everyone!!! Here is my last entry for the Bella Babe Contest!!! But not my last Bella Card!!! This weeks challenge was a FREE FOR ALL....create whatever you would like to show your stuff. I actually made this card last week for Mercys Tuesday Challenge and had not posted it, loved it so much and decided it would be perfect for this week.

So here we have Pookie Lollipop which I am just in love with. How sweet is that little face peeking out over the flower pot?!! I colored this little cutie with my copics, cut it out with my circle nesties and sponged the edges with cantelope memento ink. My designer paper is a combination of SU and Basic Grey. Then I added a fun Hello sentiment and cut it into pieces. This I printed off my computer. Then I finished things off with a big Olive Green bow and some tiny green crystals. Do you like? I do and I am keeping my fingers crossed that the Senior Babes will like it too!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a fantastic weekend!

I'm Hooked on You!!

This is a cute and simple little card I made the other day using my Rubber Cafe stamp called I'm Hooked on You. I made a simple grid with four panels using some scraps of Cosmo Cricket from my desk. You have to see my scrap pile right now. It is sinful which is why I have been trying to make a dent in it lately. I added a ton of brads for some character. My image was colored with copics and cut out using my oval nesties and my large scallop oval nesties. My sentiment for this layout was too big for the front so I decided to finish off the inside a bit and add the sentiment there. Easy Peasy.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Have a great one!!!

TE Blast from the Past Blog Hop

It is time for a Blast from the Past Blog Hop for Taylored Expressions. I always have fun joining the customer hop because it gives me a reason to use my fav TE stamps that I dont always get a chance to use. Today I pulled out Beary Special. I stamped my image onto cream cardstock and paper pieced her with some scraps on my desk. I believe all the scraps I used are from either Cosmo Cricket or October Afternoon. My border punch is Fiskars and I added a bunch of tiny twinkles. Then I finished things off with a big red bow and two small metal flowers that I bought from Michaels. Here is the blog hop order for you:

Please make sure you hop through and get a look at all the wonderfulness of the TE customers.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a fantastic day!!!

Monday at LPS

Monday Challenge at LPS is a fun color challenge. Cocoa, Red and Light blue. Okay I feel like a real rebel because I deviated from the colors just a bit. As I was analyzing the colors together it kind of reminded me of Christmas so I pulled out my all time favorite Christmas paper from SU, Ski Slope and viola.....chocolate, real red and baja breeze. Close enough right? I hope so. So then I found one of my fav holiday stamp set from last Christmas, Merry and Bright and got to work. I stamped the North Star onto cream cardstock in Chocolate ink and added a bunch of chocolate pearls. Then I sponged the edges with tea dye for an aged look. I finished things off with some pretty chocolate ribbon and some more pearls and there you go.

Wanna win a prize??? Head on over the the Little Paper Shop blog and check out how you can participate this week in the color challenge and win a prize. You will also see all the other goodies made by the rest of the DT. You will be so amazed at how different everyone interpreted the color challenge.

I would like to take a moment to welcome the two new DT members we have at LPS.  Welcome Joy and Cheryl. Joy has been our guest DT for the past few and now will join us permanently and Cheryl is just joining us so please make them feel extra special today and leave a comment for them.

Thanks for stopping by today!!! Have a great day.

A sketch for Bellarific Friday

There was a fun sketch for Bellarific Friday today. For my card I decided to use Turtle Tots Cheerleader. I stamped her onto cream cardstock and colored her with copics. Then I stamped her again and cut out her pompoms and popped them up for some dimension and added some crystal stickles. My dp was from stash and I am sorry I dont remember who made it. Then I used two border punches for the bottom panel and added some fun daisy ribbon and crystals. The sentiment comes with the Turtle Tot Stamp.

Next week is the last challenge for the Bella Babe spot. I am looking forward to seeing what it will be. Wish me luck!!! There is a ton of very good competition!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great weekend.

Thank you SEW Much

I purchased a set of stamps from Waltingmouse (is that correct???) a few months ago and just got a chance to ink it up. I have seen this set used many times around blog land and I just had to have it. I played around a bit with colors and I think I came up with the right combo of layers for this card. I am happy with the way it turned out. Very bright and cheerful. When I showed my hubby this card he was very confused about the layers, the little faux sewn lines, cutting everything out. He just could not get it. So when I said to him that the flower was a stamp. He says "A STAMP"....is that what you use??? I just looked at him with my mouth hanging open thinking "I have been stamping for two years and you are JUST getting it!!!" OIY men!!!! Well I know you will all get it and I know you will appreciate it too. My papers are a combo of scraps that were on my desk and I cut the grass out with my die namics grass die from MFT.

Thanks so much for popping by today. Hope you are enjoying your day.

Being cute is what I do

Being cute is what I do!!! Is that the most adorable sentiment for this cutie!! I just love it!! This Pure Innocence is from MFT and I stamped her onto PTI Cream Cardstock. I paper pieced her shirt and colored the rest of her with my copics. I cut her out with oval nesties. My cardstock is all from PTI as is my ribbon and my dp is Pixie-Licious from Cosmo Cricket.

So as you all know my kids are away this week and today I was TOTALLY BORED!!! Can you imagine. I made one card, cleaned a corner of my upstairs hallway, exercised and then twiddled my thumbs for the rest of the day. I hated it!! Tomorrow I am planning a trip to my LSS, which is not really so local so it will take up part of my day. I need some new copics (yes I said need!!). So I will be back tomorrow to share with you the goodies that I purchase.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day!!!

Ruff Day!!

*****Please scroll down to see my Little Paper Shop Day 2 Preview********

Ruff day huh?? I created this card for my niece who has a mobile grooming van. She has been having some work challenges so I thought this would cheer her up. The image is from There She Goes Puppy Love. My dp is Cosmo Cricket and I added a fun ribbon bow made from a satin ribbon from May Arts. Now I know my stitching is funny. I did not realize I had the setting on Backward so I wound up with the backside stitches. You would think I should have seen this AS I was sewing but I am always concentrating on keeping my lines straight that I just didn't see it. LOL.

My kidlets are away for the week visiting my aunt in MA. So I am heading down to my craft area to get inky!!! It is so amazing how clean the house stays with no kids in it. No dishes, not alot of laundry and everything stays put. Oh heck who am I kidding.....in a few days this will be old and I will be wanting them home again!!!! LOL.....Have a fantastic day, with or without kids!!!!

I stamped this little cutie onto cream cardstock and colored her with my copics and spica glitter pen. My dp is from K and Company and all cardstock is SU. To finish off this card, I added a huge fun pink and white polka dot sheer ribbon that I purchased at Michaels.

Taylors Friday Sketch

This card was created using last weeks Taylor Sketch. Not yesterdays. TESC123. I pulled out my new Cosmo Paper. Found the yellow and green and thought how perfect would this little pooch from There She Goes called Puppy Love look with these colors. Cardstock is SU. My ribbon is May Arts. Flower is prima and my border punch is fiskars. Then I sewed everything up with my sewing machine which I have not used in AGES. (you can tell too!!!)

I am off to do a TON of laundry. My kids are leaving on Sunday for a week long visit to my Aunt in MA. So I need to clean everything so they can pick what they want to bring. I am alittle nervous about them being gone for a whole week. They have never been away THAT long. I have a ton of crafting to keep me busy but I will sooooo miss them!!!

Okay off I go....thanks for stopping by today. Enjoy your weekend. I hope the weather is as perfect for you as it is here on Long Island.

Blinged out Bellarific Friday

This is my entry for week two over at Stamping Bella. They wanted  bling!!! Well I must admit that I am not a HUGE bling person. I never seem to get the right balance between bling and gaudy so I went with a light bling touch for my card. I stamped my image Teacup Daisies onto cream cardstock and colored with my copics. Then with my quickie glue pen I coated the petals of the flowers with glue and sprinkled with glitter. It is real sparkly in real life!!! To the center of each flower I added a tiny crystal and then I added crystals to the big scallop oval. To finish off the bling effect I had in my stash this giant crystal flat back stone. I think it is the perfect finish for this card. My dp is all Cosmo Cricket. Sentiment is Stamping Bella. (although I cant find it to link it up sorry)

Thanks for being here today. I love hearing all of your comments. Have a great day.

Ahoy There!!!

I am just loving my new stamps. Today I am using a new image from The Cats Pajamas called A Whale of a Time. Isnt he just the sweetest thing? I also followed Mercys Tuesday Sketch MTSC86 for this one.

I started by stamping my whale image twice. Once onto cardstock and once onto the blue printed paper and I cut both of them out and glued them together. That way I was able to mount my whale onto the background cardstock and make his tale look like it is moving a bit off the paper. Can you see that? I hope so cause it looks so cute in person....My dp is a combo of Togetherness and Pixie Licious from Cosmo Cricket. I created a scallop border on my cork with my Die Namics from MFT. Then to embellish I added a big fun bow, a few brads and a few tiny twinkles. I need to go back to The Cats Pajamas and purchase the wave cut ups. I think it would have made a huge difference in this card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Have a fantastic day!!!

You fill my heart with love

Created this little sweetie for last weeks MFT Sketch Challenge. She is from the Pure Innocence line and is called Little Angel. I paired her with some new Cosmo Cricket paper from the Pixie Licious line. My cardstock is all PTI as is my ribbon. The adorable flower and the chain link were both created with new Die Namics from MFT.

I am loving all the new goodies that I have received over the past week and have lots of great creative ideas. I have new stamps from There she Goes, My Favorite Things, and The Cats Pajamas. Plus all the new Cosmo Cricket paper. Oh boy, where does a girl begin!!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope you enjoy your day!!!

Birthday Girl

I created this card for Karen Girons Sweet Sunday Sketch using MFT's Joline stamp called Joline Sweet Spring . I am not sure of the dp name because I was stamping with Jodi when I started this card and used her stash. My ribbon is from MFT and button, linen thread and brads are from stash.

I stamped Joline twice. Once on my PTI cream cardstock and once on the dp so that I could paper piece her dress. I masked off her legs and stamped the flowers around her feet and then colored them with my copics as well as the rest of Joline. I love the way Joline came out but I must admit that looking at my card in this picture is making me second guess where I put my sentiment. What do you think??

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Have a great one!!

BEE Happy

I just could not resist this months release over at There She Goes. This little stamp set called Bee Happy just won me over. Oh my goodness how sweet are those little bees. I started by stamping the stem and flower image and then worked the bees around it. I colored with my copics and then stamped then again to color and pop up for dimension. I chose a very simple layout with some My Minds Eye Paper that I had some scraps from. I finished things off with some tiny twinkles from Taylored Expressions a big red bow with ribbon from PTI and I added some shine with my black spica pen to the stripes in the bees but you cant see that in this picture.

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a peek today. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!!!

MTSC85

I have been receiving the Unity KOTM for a few months now and I have to say, they are gorgeous stamps but I never seem to have enough time to play with them. When I saw Mercys Tuesday Sketch I knew it would be this image and paper that I would play with. Isn't that blue background paper yummy?? It is from Graphic 45 and I have been hording it for quite some time now. I paired it up with alittle Cosmo Cricket. My image from Unity is stamped onto PTI Cream Cardstock and colored with my copics and a black atyou spica glitter pen. Ribbon is enchanted evening from PTI and my brads are from Michaels. This sketch MTSC85 was a great one this week and I had a ton of fun making this card. I am off to play with some new There She Goes Stamps that just arrived and I am hounding the mailman for an order from The Cats Pajamas, My Favorite Things and All That Scaps....Just an FYI in case you did not know, I found ALL of the new Cosmo Pads on sale at All That Scraps.....oh yum.....new paper!!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Enjoy this GORGEOUS weekend.

Jumped on the Bellarific Bandwagon

I was very excited when I read that Stamping Bella was looking for a new Bella Babe. This is one DT tryout that I am very excited about because Stamping Bella was the very first online stamp company that I purchased from after Stamping Up. I had a few Bella Sisters and I still keep in touch with one of them!!! I had so much fun with my bella sisters.

So here is my entry for this week. The challenge this week was to paper piece and I picked out this sweet little Presley Lollipop to piece. I pulled out my My Minds Eye Bloom and Grow paper and stamped her twice. Once for the nightgown and once for the slippers and teddy bear. I then colored the rest of her with my copic markers. I used my oval and large scallop oval nesties to cut her out and mount her. My ribbon and flower were in stash.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Wish me luck!!! I have three more weeks of entries to go!!! Whoo Hoo!!!

Paper Sickness and LPS DT Call!!!

Hi and welcome. I made this card the other day as an entry for the MFT Guest DT spot. Well unfortunately it was not the winner this time but I sure enjoyed making it. You need to go check out the winners entry. It was awesome!!!!

So for this card today I pulled out some older Basic Grey paper. I know we all say this, but it is sinful how much paper I have and don't use.  And I just ordered all of the new Cosmo pads yesterday. It is such a sickeness!! LOL. Back to my card.....I used this very sweet Flopsey image from MFT because the theme was flowers so I kind of figured he was very appropriate. I colored him with my copics twice (only the flowers) and cut out a set of flowers to pop up. I cut out two blossom nesties. One in hunter green and one in so saffron and ran the saffron panel through the cuttlebug. I then rolled three different sized flowers and added a pearl to the center of them. The leaves were cut from my SU leaf die. I really love how this came out and I am looking forward to sending it to someone special.

So on another note, Little Paper Shop is looking for 2 new DT Members. All of the deets can be found here but hurry the call is until August 20th so get your entries into Pam right away!!! Good Luck!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting. Have a great day!!!

Some more yummy goodness from MFT

I told you I was on a crafty roll this past weekend!!! Found this fun Imaginese (?) paper in my stash and knew Millie the Mouse from MFT would be perfect with it. I paired it off with some polka dot paper from Cosmo Cricket. Millie is so much fun to paper piece. Cant you just feel her joy!!! I cut her out with circle nesties and cut the polka dot paper out with my labels nesties.  Then to finish things off I used some red ribbon, brads in the top corner and a metal swirled flower from SU.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope this card made you smile today!!!

Feel Better

I got real crafty this past weekend. The temperature outside was perfect so my craft room cooled off alot. I pulled out some stamps that had not been inked up yet and was so surprised to find this Pure Innocence girl from MFT was among them. I always had visions of paper piecing her and her umbrella so I pulled out some cheerful paper from My Minds Eye and got to work. I actually stamped her three times. Once for her coat and boots. Once for the pink in the umbrella and once for the polka dots in the umbrella. Then I colored the rest of her with my copics. She is cut out with circle nesties and mounted on a blossom cut out. All cardstock is SU and so is my ribbon. Flower was in my stash. I love this little cutie and speaking of cuties, have you seen some of the sneak peaks for this weeks MFT release???? OMG.....I will be spending a ton this week!!!! Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope you have a great day!!!!

Little Paper Shop Monday Challenge

Happy Monday to all of you!!! For me Monday means a new Little Paper Shop challenge and this week is a color challenge for you to sink your teeth into. We are using bright blue, chocolate and bright pink. For my card today, I toned down the blue and pink but still went with the general scheme of things.

I started by stamping the mailbox image from Lily and Lucy Messages onto cardstock,  coloring with my copics,  and then cutting out with oval nesties. My dp is a combination of Bella Rose from SU and an OLD prints pack from SU. Ribbon is brocade blue from SU and my flower is prima.

Come and check out what the rest of the DT has created to inspire you and see all the deets on how you can randomly win a prize this week from Little Paper Shop. Just head over to the Little Paper Shop Blog for all of the info.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you are enjoying your day!!!
