Whoo Hoo I found a new toy

Hi Everyone. Thanks to CArri I now know how to watermark my pictures. She mentioned this site called Picasa on her blog. I have used it in the past to alter pictures but did not know I could watermark them as well. Well you can and it is so much fun to crop and adjust the lighting AND watermark them too. Here is a cute little card I made awhile ago but never had a chance to post because I entered it inot a DT call. Well I did not make the call this time around so I can now show you the picture. It is a Rachel Ann Miller Stamp that I bought from Sweet and Sassy Stamps. My sentiment is from the Michaels dollar bin and so is my DSP. I hope you are having a great weekend. We are away with some friends in the Poconos. Yes it is cold and snowing but the kids are having a blast. I just wanted to get something posted on my blog for you this weekend so you dont forget me....LOL. Hope all is well and I will be back on Monday.

Jodi's Color Challenge

Hi Everyone. I am going to make this a quick post. I made this card for The Paper Pretties Color Challenge given by Jodi last night. Using the colors Real Red, Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip. I was so excited because for a change I have the "in" stampin up colors so I could actually do this color challenge. It is a great combo of colors. I used my new Pretties "Trim the Tree" stamp, SU cardstock and SU SKi Slope DSP. Thanks so much for stopping by to take a look and I hope everyone of you has a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving. ENJOY!!!

New "Boots"

Hi Everyone. I bought so many new stamps lately that I dont know where to begin using them. My last post I used my new Paper Pretties stamp of the month and today I am posting a new Bella that I received. It is called "Boots" and it is so sweet. My daughter and I LOVE our ugg boots and my son loves his timberlands so this picture reminds me of my front foyer with all the boots lined up. I used my Basic Grey Wassail paper and brads again. I am so in love with this paper. I also paper pieced the boots. The sketch is Beate's WSC67. Thanks so much for checking it out. Let me know what you think!!! Have a great night.

PS- Just saw that my new blogging friend Danni left me this special blog award. This is my first blog award and it could not have come from a nicer person. I am going to leave this award to just a few special people. Of course I would leave it for Danni but she already got it so here is my list:

Loreen

Amy

Jodi

Kim

A Real "Pretty" Sketch Challenge

Hi Everyone. Yay, I finally got to do a challenge today. Out of the many that I could have done I chose to do the Paper Pretties Sketch Challenge for this week. I received my new "Trim the Tree" stamp and had not had a chance to ink it up until today. Isn't she adorable???? I just love the stamp of the month club because I get a new cutie each month. For this challenge I actually flipped the sketch up to accommodate the image. I used my Basic Grey Wassail paper and brads and SU cardstock. My ink is memento tuxedo black. I hope you enjoyed your weekend and that you get everything you need to get done before Thanksgiving so you can relax and enjoy the day. Thanks for stopping by.

Craft Fairs are over!!!

Hi Everyone. Boy has it been awhile since I posted here. I have been so busy the last two weeks getting ready for two craft fairs I had this weekend where I was selling my cards. Well they are over and they were alot of fun. NOW I will have a chance to just create cards for challenges that I like to do and just for fun reasons without the pressure of the fairs. I made some gift packs of notecards for the fairs and here is a picture of just a few that I have left.

I am looking forward to checking out my fav sites and seeing what new challenges are posted. I will have a chance to create tomorrow.

Have a great evening and weekend.

Challenges, Challenges!!

I am really starting to enjoy various challenges that are available to us. I never enjoyed them because I would start a challenge and my mind would always take the layout in a different direction but now I really enjoy the "challenge" of staying on track with what I am supposed to do. My first card is for todays SCS Sketch Challenge SC202. I used a Bella's Funky Clotheline for this challenge and SU's Parisianne Summer DSP.

For my second card and challenge today I did Paper Pretties Sketch Challenge for the week. For this card I used my Simply Special stamp. I love this stamp so much. It really is so versatile. My DSP is SU's Bella Rose.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great evening.

Quick Blog Candy Alert (new post below)

Lara is offering up the most incredible blog candy in honor of her birthday. Go over and visit her and wish her a happy birthday.
http://youwantthecookie.blogspot.com/
Hi Everyone! My kiddos came home today from their visit with my Aunt. They had an incredible time and learned alot on their Nature Walks. I spent some great quality time with DH and of course had time to stamp. My DH and I actually started having a cup of tea together at night which was something nice to do. I look forward to continuing that even with the kids home. There is something so cozy about a cup of tea and Social Tea cookies before you go to sleep. So for that occasion I made the two tea cards below with my new Warm Up set from Sweet and Sassy stamps. Then I started thinking about my holiday cards and figured I better get started with some ideas so I made the pink and brown card with the snowflakes as a possibility. Then I remembered I ordered some cute stamps from Stamping Bella with the thought of holiday cards so this one below is just an option. And last I made a few B-day cards for a couple of friends. I hope you enjoy everything and thanks so much for stopping by.

Wow look it's Me!!!

Hi Everyone!!! Okay I know it has been long enough but I finally had my kids take a picture of me so I can post it where I need to. Now I hope you feel closer to me seeing what I look like.

So onto the events of the day. I hope you all got out to vote. To me it is such an exciting election this year no matter who you decided to vote for. A woman, an African American. It cant ge't better than that!!!

So my kids were home of course today so I did alittle crafting while they were with their friends. The first card I made was for the DT Challenge over at Sweet and Sassy. They wanted us to make something using chipboard. Well not only have I never used chipboard, but I only had one kind on hand and that was fall leaves. So I put my noodle to work and the card below is what I came up with. I glued my DP onto my chipboard with glossy accents and then cut it out with my exacto knife. My sentiment is from a Paper Pretties stamp. Cute and simple. I made due with what I had.

My second card is a bella tonight. I received this image in a swap and she is so adorable. I used some cute paper from my new DCWV Glitter Pack. There is some cute paper in this pack. Then based on my paper I colored this girl with my Prisma Pencils in brown and pink. I know the perfect person to send this card to. My brown and pink loving sistah!!!! I think she will love this.

Well thanks for stopping by and have a great night. I hope you enjoy the cards tonight and of course my NEW PICTURE!!!!! Whoo Hoo!!

Happy Sunday!!

Hi Everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. The weather here on LI was so beautiful. I love these final nice days before the cold and bad weather sets in. My DD had a friend sleep over last night so I did alot of crafting with them. My DD loves to share with her friends what I do and all of my "goodies". I had them make Thanksgiving cards, calendars, and coaster note holders. I wish I took a picture of everything to show you. They really did a good job. As for myself I have a few goodies to show you also:

This first card was made with a cute little set of clear stamps that my old Bella Sistah Heidi sent me this week. It was such a treat to get her goodies in the mail. The stamps are from Hero Arts. I have no idea about the DP. It was actually a scrap in my case. All cardstock is SU, my ribbon is from Michaels and I dont know if you can see but I used my Clear Spica card to accent the frosting.

This second card was made with SU's Tart and Tangy set. My DP is SU's Bella Rose and all cardstock is SU. I used my ribbon nesties for the sentiment. I LOVE these nesties. I am getting alot of use out of them.

My last card tonight is made from an Image swap I did with Danni (thanks Danni). If I am correct the set is called Happy Cows and it is from Missy B Designs. They happen to have the cutest stamps and at very reasonable prices. I am not thrilled with my coloring tonight on this card but it is what it is. My DP is from a Glitter Pack I picked up on sale at Michaels from DCWV.

Well that is all for tonight. I hope you all have a wonderful week. Thanks for stopping by!!

Busy Busy Me!!

Hi Everyone!! I have had a busy few days of crafting but nothing else is really too exciting. My son came home from his school trip. He was not too thrilled with the whole trip. He did not like the food, bed was uncomfortable, ect ect ect. He takes after my husband in not being a very good "camper" and roughing it. My husband is a four star hotel kind of man. Me on the other hand can really get into the ruggedness of camping. I used to camp alot when I was younger and LOVED IT. My hubby on the other hand has never been camping in his life.....Poor Guy :)

So I have alot to show you tonight and it is getting late so I am going to make this fast. Enjoy the new cards and I am sure I will be back tomorrow with more. Have a great night.

Image is from Stamping Bella, DSP is from Michaels and sentiment is from Sweet and Sassy. I loved this card so much that I made one in blue also.

Image is from Paper Pretties. This one always makes such a pretty femine card. My dsp is from SEI and the sentiment is from dollar bin at Michaels.
This card was loosely inspired by this weeks Sketch Challenge at SCS. Images are from Doodlebug, DSP is Stampin Up and sentiment is dollar bin at Michaels
Color challenge card for SNSS except I could not use a SNSS stamp because the only ones I have just did not match this DSP si I used Very Merry from SU. DSP is from DCWV designer Pack for Christmas.

This is my sketch challenge entry for SNSS. I just love the way this came out. Stamps are from the Owl Collection at SNSS, sentiment is from dollar bin at Michaels, and DSP is from Daisy D's Chloe Marie Dots.

This is my embellishement challenge from SNSS. On here I used a sentiment from my Owl Creations set. My DSP is Making Memories and my brads are from MM"S

Sweet and Sassy Yahoo Group Challenge

Hi Everyone. It feels so strange posting to my blog during the day. Usually I leave a night post but I just did not have a chance to take pictures yesterday so here we are. Well its Halloween, and it has to be my LEAST favorite day of the year. Something about people dressing up and begging for candy just does not do it for me. BUT my kids are all set and ready to go so I will trick o treat with them later today.

My son is due home today from his school trip to the Catskills. The school posted some pixs of the kids and I got to see my son. He looks very cold. Or is this just the worry of a mother speaking??? Anyway I cant wait to hear all about his fun when he gets home later today.

Tonight is the release party over at Sweet and Sassy and I am very excited about it. They are coming out with a few really gorgeous stamps that are on my must have list. They also put out a challenge on their yahoo group and the card below is one entry I made for the challenge. It is made with their Olivia the Owl stamp and then I just got the celebrations set to go with the owl so I made her a Birthday Olivia. I did some watercoloring on her and I paper pieced her as well.

My second card is a Magnolia that I have had and just did not have a chance to ink up. I find I really have to be in the mood to work with my Tildas. They require more brain energy from me for some reason but I think she came out really. She was colored with Prisma Pencils and OMS.

Thanks for stopping by and I am off to craft some more so I will have another entry later today probably.

OHHH I want to be a Cutie Pie!!!

Hi Everyone!! Well Paper Pretties is having their newest release party on Nov 1st and along with that is their Cutie Pie contest. Not only can you feel special being a "Cutie Pie" but if you win you will get the ENTIRE release for the evening.....I would just love to win that. I love little Sophia and I am sure the new releases are going to be awesome!! So with that said, I made 2 cards to submit. I just have to decide which one to send in. The first one is Sophia as a cowgirl. I paper pieced her clothes and then accented them with Spica pens. My second entry is Sophia as this gorgeous angel. This stamp is so special. For this one I colored with my Prisma pencils and used my spica pen for the wings and fur trim. I hope you like them.

On a personal note, my daughter is feeling much better thank goodness and my son left today for a school trip up to Frost Valley Resort in the Catskills. This is an annual 6th grade trip that forms camaraderie with the kids. He just started Middle School this year and our district combines 4 Elementary Schools into one Middle School so there are alot of kids he does not know. This will give the kids a great opportunity to get to make new friends. The bad part for me is that they are not allowed to call home for the 3 days they are gone. They were not allowed to bring any cell phones and they have no access to phones in their cabins. So of course I am worrying if he is dressing warm enough. It is unseasonably cold here on Long Island and it is about 20 degrees colder where he is. So of course I am just hoping he is bundling up with the layers I sent him!!!

So I hope you enjoy my cards tonight. If you love Sophia as much as I do hop over to Paper Pretties and enter the Cutie Pie contest also......Have a great night!!!

Okay dont I feel guilty!!!!

Hi Everyone, Well two nights ago I vented about my kids always complaining about not feeling good. Well I now have mud on my face because my daughter has STREP THROAT again!!! Second time in two weeks. I feel so bad having ranted about her complaints when she REALLY WAS SICK....She woke up Monday morning with a fever, headache and sore throat. Well I took no chances and I ran right to the doctor where it was confirmed. Strep again. So Lindsay and I have been in the house for two days. I crafted alittle today and this is the card I made. Another card from my Oct kit from Wish. The Bo Bunny paper is so beautiful and and I used those new chipboard letters for my MOM......I think they are called thickers????? Anyway what ever they are called they are fun to use every once in awhile. Hope you like the card. Have a great night.

Just a few for a friend

Hi Everyone. I won the monthly kit this month from Wish on A Scrap so I made a few goodies to submit to show how wonderful the kit was. (and it was). The first card I made, the paper yelled out to me that it needed something sophisticated so I whipped out my SU Always set and created my card around that set. I inked the bird in versamark and used clear embossing powder to make it pop. I did that on the "A" for the always also. On the second card I punched out the "snowflakes" from the DSP which was from Bo Bunny. They just reminded me of snowflakes so I completely transformed the paper, cut it up and make flakes. I then accented them with brads from MM's. I hope you enjoy these two cards tonight. Not much else going on except kids DRIVING ME CRAZY!!! My kids have this habit of "never feeling good". Stomach ache, sore throat, finger hurts, leg hurts, ect ect ect....Well it is just driving me bananas. I have no more sympathy left for the fake aches and pains......They are 9 and 11. Shouldn't it end by now?????? UGGGHHHHHH........Anyway that is my day. Thanks for letting me vent. Hope you all enjoyed your weekend and I hope you have a great week.

Dance Like No Ones Watching

Hi Again Everyone! It has been such a busy week here in our household. We had a bad bout with strep throat for my daughter. We had a HUGE project due for my son and then we had a HUGE science test to study for for my daughter to catch up for the week of work we lost. UGGHHH. Then I worked two craft fairs in between. I did a Breast Cancer Coalition one night and worked a very exclusive private school another day. Both were very nice events. So I did not get alot of crafting done but I had these cards made thinking I was going to submit them to the DT I am applying too but I decided on a few others. I hope I decided on the right ones. So I hope you enjoy these few cards I have to share with you. One is a new Rachelle Anne Miller that I just got and it is so adorable. I am having so much fun with it. The coloring possibilities are endless. The second stamp I used is a stamp I have had for a while and just got around to inking up. That is Tutu Face from STamping Bella. She is so adorable and the sentiment that I bought to go with her is just so perfect if you ask me. "Dance Like No Ones Watching" I often wish I could live my life like that but I am jus too damn responsible!!!! My last card is made from stamps that I got from STudio G which are alot of fun for Dollar stamps. Thanks so much for stopping by tonight. Have a great night and I hope to see you tomorrow.

Card for her BFF

My daughters BFF moved about 3 months ago to South Carolina. I thought she would never live through it. I thought I would never live through it for her. They were inseparable. But lo and behold they survived. They talk all the time on the phone and they play on the computer together and they survived. Well it was her Best Friends birthday this weekend and her family came home for her birthday to have a party so I made this special card for her. I think it is just so appropriate for the two girls especially since my daughter does not have a sister. Her friends mother loved it so much she is going to frame it!! I hope you all enjoy it too. I made it from my papers and stickers from my October Kit from Wish on a Scrap. Laureen puts out the best kits each month. If you have not checked out her kits you really need to because her papers are the best and all the goodies she puts in her kit are the BEST....So I hope you like this card too. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great night.

You're A Hoot and Bella Challenge

Hey Everyone!! It has been awhile since I have been able to sit down and craft and boy have I missed it. I have been working my craft fairs on the weekends. I wish I could say they have been busy but they just have not been. I know the economy is effecting everyone. I understand that. Although I sell crocs for the American Girl dolls and if it wasn't for those I don't think I would have sold anything last weekend. They were selling like hotcakes!!! Thank goodness!! So onto my crafting....I finally got a chance to complete the Bella challenge for last Friday. The Embellishment Challenge to use 5 Buttons. I used the Pea in a Pod stamp from stamping Bella. My DSP was from a kit from my daughters Project Runway and I also used DSP from SU's Prints Pack. I used the following items also: Gelly Roll Glitter pen, Spica Pen, Paper Studio Bag O Buttons, MM's Brads, SU Ribbon and SU Cardstock.

My second card is called You're a Hoot and it is headed to my Bella Sistah (Hi Amy). I made it special for her with the goodies that she sent to me this week. See the picture below for a look at what she sent to me. The card is made with the following items: SEI Poppy Paper Stack, SEI Poppy Buttons, Sweet and Sassy Owl Occasions stamps, nesties, michaels ribbons, SU Ink in chocolate chip, yoyo yellow, close to cocoa all watercolored with my aquapainter and SU cardstock.

Thanks so much for stopping by tonight. I am not working this weekend and I am hoping to work on my new scrap room and finally stop scrapping on my kitchen table. So keep checking by and I will keep you posted on my results. By for now. Have a great night.
