Hi Everyone!! I am having so much fun with my new Lockhart stamps. This one is called Apples in Chinz. I actually bought it because it is really versatile considering apples can be red, green or yellow. I am not locked into one fruit color. Whoo Hoo. I made this card with the intention of following the Sketch challenge on SCS but my ovals did not fit the other way so I scratched the challenge and just recreated. I also used my FAVORITE SU dsp. Washington Apple. I better check with Jodi to find out if this is being discontinued because I will want to stock up. My image was colored with my copics and my sentiments are from Stampendous.
My second card was made with my brand new stamp from Paper Pretties called One of those days. Dont you just LOVE that helpless little chickie. I know you have felt like that at times too!!! We all have "those days" For this card I used my Parisian Summer Specialty dsp my new kraft ribbon and oyster baubles from Stamping Bella. The little gold embellie on my ribbon was found at Michaels in the jewelry section.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great night!!!

Lots to Post
I have been so busy making cards lately. Business is VERY slow and well there is just so much cooking and cleaning a girl can do(or wants to do!!!). Here are a few cards I made for one of my yahoo groups. The first one is the super cute Rainy Day Sophia from Paper Pretties. She is super fun to work with. I paper pieced her dress and colored the rest of her with my copics. My dsp is from DCWV Nannas Nursery. Brads are from my stash. My ribbon is So Saffron from SU.
My second card is an image that I received in a swap. I glued it down before I took note of the name of this image but it is quite sweet. I colored again with my copics. My dsp is Delicate Dots. I used my Swiss Dots folder for embossing. Ribbon is from my stash and that adorable blue flower is from Michaels in the bridal section.
I have so many more to share with you but I will space them out in a few posts. Thanks for stopping by and have a great night.
Whimsy DT Call
Here is a quick post with the card I created for the Whimsy DT Call which can be found here.
Denise has the cutest little animal collection and this one is called Turtle. I stamped him on PTI white cardstock and colored with my copics. I cut him out with circle nesties and then layered that onto a labels 1 nestie cutout. My whisper white and Old Olive cardstock are SU and so is my dsp which is from the Ski Slope collection. Finally I embellished with some silvery grey baubles and a grey ribbon with a charm I found at Michaels in the jewelry section.
Go and check out the DT Call. You have until March 1st to enter. Good Luck!!!

FBW46 with CC207
Boy did this work out good for me this week. Danni over at Dannis Dreams challenged the Flutterby Team to make our card this week with yellow and orange. Not a problem but them I read the color challenge for today over at SCS and it was "Summer kiwi pies"...lucky me, Summer Sun, Kiwi Kiss and pumpkin pie. Instant color combo, instant motivation and combined with the new Buggy Sayings set from Paper Makeup it worked out perfectly. The dsp I used was from Prestwick and Washington Apple. My brads are SU and my ribbon is from the Chloes Closet set from Making Memories.
Now you can also play along with Dannis challenge this week. Just make a butterfly card with yellow and orange and upload it to either SCS or PCP with the keyword FBW46. Come on and play along!!! And dont forget to visit the rest of the Flutterby teams sites for their amazing creations.

Paper Makeup Sketch Challenge
I am having so much fun with my new Paper Makeup Stamps. Today Katie the owner issued a really cool sketch challenge. PMSSC1. I had to give it a try. For this particular card I used the Buggy Sayings set which is so adorable. My dsp is SU Raspberry Tart with Kiwi kiss and red rose cardstock. I used my kiwi kiss ribbon with one of the new crocheted flowers from SU. My border was punched with a MS punch and my image was cut out with my nesties. A simple but fun sketch.
On another note, I dont know if you noticed but I am going to the Stamp NE stamp weekend. I am soooo excited that I will be in the company of so many awesome stampers so today I went out and bought myself a travel scrap case on wheels. It is so pretty but I left it in my car when I brought in the groceries so I will take a picture tomorrow and show you what it looks like but it is my first step in getting ready for this amazing weekend. I will keep you posted on all the preparations as they arise.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great night.

IC168
This weeks Inspiration Challenge IC168 over at SCS was to use the site called Flutter. They have great home furnishing. I was really inspired by this particular rug:
http://www.flutterclutter.com/shop/shop_detail_popup.php?product=512
Now truth be told, I knew in my head what I wanted to accomplish but I have to tell you that I stamped ALL kinds of different flowers before deciding on whipping out my old fiskars flower punches. None of the stamps I own were working well with what was in my brain, but I am soooo happy with the final result.
For this card I used Baja Breeze, Old Olive and Whisper White card stock. My dsp is from Green Tea. My flowers were stamped with fiskars punches. 3 different kinds and then my center is a simple silver brad from Making Memories. The swirl is stamped in Old Olive and that swirl is from a set called Stars over at Paper Makeup. My sentiment is H&M Stamps.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day!

Hi Everyone, I made this adorable card for the very first color challenge over at Paper Makeup. Our challenge was to simply use pink and grey. I had already purchased some of Katies stamps so I was able to use her adorable set, Buggy Sayings. Haven't you ever had days just like this??? Too cute!! I used basic grey and pink pirouette cardstock with Basic Grey DSP from the SU Prints pack. Pink pirouette ribbon, swiss dots folder in my cuttlebug, some punches and viola!! You have until tonight to join the fun so go check it out. There is a prize at stake also!! Whoo Hoo!!

Purple and blue flutterby for you
Good Morning Everyone!! I am going to post real quick today because we are taking the kids into the city today to the Hayden Planetarium. I am way excited. It is so cool there.
So yes today is Flutterby Wednesday over at Dannis site and I am so excited because today we had to make our cards with blue and purple. This was quite a challenge for me because I do not use purple very easily but I love a challenge so I took this one on head first and this is my final result. How do you like it!!
I used paper from my LSS from DCWV which was perfect for this card. My flutterbys are punched from a Fiskars punch and the stem of the flower is made from my Slice Machine.
If YOU want to play along to in the Flutterby challenge and I know you do because it is so much fun using Flutterbys on your card, just upload your creation to either SCS or PCP with keyword FBW45. And dont forget to check out the new Guest Designer for the week. Danni will announce her today on her site and please check out the rest of the designers whose work is always incredible.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Day!!

Mojo Monday
My friend Jodi always suggests that I do a challenge when my mojo runs dry so I did the Mojo Monday Challenge today MOJO74. I used SU Bella Birds DSP with Friends 24-7 stamp set. I am so glad I bought this set because it is getting alot of use. I layered with SU Cardstock in Bordering Blue, whisper white and So Saffron. My brads I had in stash but they matched so well and I used my new So Saffron Ribbon to finish things off with a Heidi Swapp Ghost Flower topped with a SU Filigree Brad.
Now I uploaded a new siggy file but to me it looks huge. I want to see what it looks like when I actually post this. So it may need to be adjusted. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great night.

Long lost Hodgepodge hardware
Happy Sunday to everyone. I think alot of people have a three day weekend this weekend but here on Long Island, the kids are off ALL week for winter break. Oh lucky me!! LOL. Actually my kids are so at an independent age. With just a few friends over they can all keep themselves well entertained so I am pretty lucky. It is just the house!! What a mess it becomes with all those kids around. UGGHH and the food that I have to feed all of them!! But I wouldn't have it any other way. I love that my kids friends like to be here.
Any who....I have a few cards to share with you today. The first one was made with my new set Friends 24-7. I just love this set. My paper is the delicious Parisian Breeze Specialty. This has to be the best paper that SU has made. It is textured and real thick. And last but not least, I whipped out my long lost Hodgepodge Hardware that is so very neglected and was able to use some brads, a ribbon slide and a sentiment frame for this card. It looks perfect with this paper.
The next card that I have to share with you is for todays Featured Stamper over on SCS. Julie has an incredible gallery and I had a hard time picking a card to case but finally decided on this one:
http://images.splitcoaststampers.com/data/gallery/500/TECC60_JMKL_by_juliemlacey.jpg?ts=1231569213
The rules of the FS Challenge is to case the card but change two or more things. I changed around the following things:
-different colors
-different image
-I deleted the ribbon and embossed with my cuttlebug strips instead
Thanks so much for stopping by on this beautiful Sunday. I think I will be back later with a few more posts. Until then, have a great day.

Boobie Inspiration
This weeks Inspiration Challenge over on SCS was to pick a bra that had been lavishly decorated for Breast Cancer awareness. They were all beautiful in their own ways but I was especially taken with this one:
http://www.quiltersofsc.org/artfullbras/IMG_3723.jpg
And this is the card I came up with for challenge IC167. I used my new stamp set Friends 24-7 and my Best Yet set. I watercolored my image in Garden Green and Pacific Point. My paper is all SU cardstock and SU Prints pack in Garden Green. My ribbon was in my stash and the little rose I bought in the wedding section of Michaels. It is from Offray. Oh and my butterfly punch is from fiskars.
I hope you enjoyed your Valentines day and was showered with lots of goodies. I will be back tomorrow with a few more cards I made this weekend. Thanks for stopping by and have a great night.

Boy is my house a mess
And that is because I have done nothing for the past 2 days but stamp. Whoo hoo!! I am loving all of my new goodies from SU and then I had to buy the stamp that I made this card with from Michaels. I fell in love with it a few weeks ago and was waiting until I had a 50% off coupon before I bought it. It is called Mothers Dress. Isnt it beautiful. You really need to click on the picture to see the swirl at the bottom of the card with all the little tiny pearls I put on it. I really like how this came out. My paper is Bella Birds with Bordering Blue and So Saffron card stock and a touch of so saffron ribbon.
My next card was made with the new stamp set Ever After and the new and scrumptious paper Raspberry Tart. I stamped my image in Old Olive and colored the little flowers with my copics. Then I stamped the square Love in old olive and then stamped just the L again with the same red marker. Then I cut out the L and glued it onto the original image. Again all card stock is SU.
I hope you all have a wonderful Valentines Day weekend. I cant wait to give my hubby the card I made him. Thanks for stopping by and have a great night.

Whoo Hoo! My SU order came
There is nothing more exciting than a brand new SU order coming in the mail. So many new goodies to play with!! I really did not know where to begin. So what did I do....I organized....and then once I finally got my mind wrapped around all my stuff I came up with this card. I REALLY like how it came out. I used my new stamp set called "Friends 24/7". I LOVE this set and was so excited to get it. My paper is the new and delicious Bella Bleu. My image is stamped on Georgia Pacific paper in Not Quite Navy and then heat embossed with clear EP. I used my labels 1 nesties to cut out my image and propped it up on dimensionals over the Not Quite Navy strip that was trimmed with my SU scallop punch. I finished the card off with my brand new and amazing Vanilla Brads and a small filigree brad on my bow. LOVE IT!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful night.

Gotta Thank my Sistah!!
I came home last week after telling myself I would not spend any money on myself at my LSS to a package FULL of goodies from my Bellah Sistah Carrie. She sent me a bouquet of flowers as you can see. There is not a color that I need to buy now. YAY! Along with the wonderful flowers she sent me new cutting blades for my Slice Machine, some note cards, a fridge note holder, great chipboard, embellies and the most MAGNIFICENT card. Her layout is amazing and I love her colors. Thanks so much Carrie for this spectacualar package of goodies. It totally made my day.

My image is from Stampendous.
If you choose to play along this week. Just upload you image to SCS or PCP with keyword FBW44. Have fun and "flutterby"!!

A Quick Post
I made this quick card today. I semi followed last weeks SCS sketch. My dsp is from Urban Garden which is so gorgeous and I just dont use it as much as I should. My stamp is from SU Silhouettes. Simple and sweet. No coloring today. Just did not have time to. My brads are from Pink Hedgehog on ebay. She has the most incredible buys on coordinating brads to the SU colors. I bought ALL of them. Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to be able to post more tomorrow. Enjoy your night.

Wow what a gorgeous day it is here on Long Island. It is in the 50's and sun is shinning bright. I will make this post fast so I can enjoy the day. I made this card for todays Featured Stamper on SCS. FS105. What a gallery she has. So very talented. This is the card of hers that I decided to case:

My changes to the card were as follows:

-different color on the image
-I added a ribbon
-I did not use a button but I added some brads.

Love is in the air
Got together with my bud Jodi last night and made some valentines for my family. She brought over the VERY cute and sassy set from MFT called "Maid for you". I have been eying this set for awhile knowing it would make a cute valentine card for my hubby but never took the plunge to buy it. I colored it with my copic and glitter markers. Do you love those red high heels!! (not like I own any) I got a good lesson in shading from Jodi and was able to make the wood floor really look GOOD!! Thanks Jodi!
My next two cards were made for my two monkey doodles. I had so much fun coloring the first one because of new found blending know how. This little teddy bear is a stamp that I bought from ebay. Way adorable. I am loving teddys lately. My sentiment was printed from the computer and my ribbon was from Michaels. My swiss dot embossed panel was sponged with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo to add a little color.
My second card was made with a CTMH set that I also bought on ebay called Beary Much. I was raked some images from this set and had to own it so I went on a search. Also way adorable. For this card I used my Bella Rose DSP from SU, my sentiment again was printed from the computer and my flowers are primas. The little heart was made with my MM slice machine (love this little thing), and instead of using a spiral clip for my ribbon I found in my stash this cute red paperclip that looks perfect with the ribbon.
Thanks so much for stopping by. My neice with the new baby will be here soon so I will be ooogling over my little Sydney for the afternoon and her big brother Jordan. Have a great day!

Gliding by twice
I received my new "Gliding by" stamp from Paper Pretties the other day. I belong to the Stamp of the Month club and I get a brand new lovely Sophia every month. I had a hard time deciding what color to make her. She looks good in just about any color but I wanted to use this new blue snowflake paper that I got on sale at Michaels so for my first card I went with a blue and grey Sophia. I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black on my new delicious paper from PTI. It is by far the best paper I have bought. LOVE IT!! Then I cut Sophia out with my circle nesties and with my scalloped circle cut out a piece of vellum. My border punch is a snowflake punch from fiskars. My ribbon is from Michaels and the little beads are so irridescent so I decided to add them for a little flare.
My second "Gliding By" was made in pink and burgandy and I used my Parisian Summer dsp from SU. I embossed my pink pirouette paper with my snowflakes folder and sponged some Bravo Burgandy on it for some added color. I used my SU pink pirouette ribbon, a heidi swapp ghost flower and a cute little pink button from stash.
It is absolutely bitter cold here on Long Island but thank goodness it is supposed to warm up alittle in the next few days. I hate when my nose is cold!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and let me know which color Sophia you like best.

Guess what day it is?
It is Wednesday which means it is "Flutter by Wednesday" over at Dannis blog. What a fun idea and I am so glad to be part of this great group of women. You can participate also. If you want to create a card for this week just upload it to SCS or PCP and use keyword FBW43.
This week Danni challenged us to make our "Flutter by" card using pink. Well that was just not hard for me at all. Butterflies and pink go hand in hand in my book. I did however have to add a splash of orange to spice things up alittle. For this card I stamped my Inkadinkado stamp (yes it is all one stamp) in Pretty in Pink and then with my markers I colored with orange a few scattered Butterflies. My dsp came from Paper Pretties. I am sorry I dont remember the name but I am pretty sure it was an Amy Butler Design. My felt flowers were cut out with my cuttlebug and a sizzix die. I added some buttons from my stash, stamped my Stampendous sentiment and cut it out with my SU oval punches and there you have it. The only bad thing is my photography on this one. Not the best but I hope you can click on it to get a better view. For now have a great day and I hope to post again later. Also dont forget to check out the blogs of the other girls on the team.

My Molly Love
I do not usually take alot of pictures, but I could not resist this shot of my Molly Cat. She climbed onto the counter into a paper bag and just refused to get out. She practically blends with the bag. She just looked too cute not to photograph. We have 3 cats. Mia, Bootsie and Molly. Molly happens to be the sweetest of the bunch.
Now my card for the day. I got my order from Paper Pretties and I bought this dsp which just screamed Valentines Day, so I whipped out my SU Always set, stamped in Chocolate Chip and then embossed with clear EP. Cut my circles out with my nesties. I embossed with my Swirls folder and my Swiss Dots and finished it off with a sentiment from Studio G and some hodgepodge hardware.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great night.

Polar Bear Sunday here in Long Beach
Every year, here in Long Beach, on Superbowl Sunday, the Polar Bear club takes their annual "plunge" into the Ocean. They do it for the Make a Wish foundation and usually raise a ton of money. This year it was extra special because they were trying to break a Guiness Book Record. The news media was here and the people from Guiness were making everyone sign in to be part of it. Well my 11 yr old son and his best bud had to be part of it. Here they are after they dove into the ocean on a 35 degree day!!! So brave!! They had a blast but my son needed to defrost in the shower for about 1/2 hour!! LOL.
So now onto some card business. I recieved my new "Rainy Day Friends" set from Paper Pretties this weekend and just HAD to make a fun springtime card. It gave me such hope that warm weather is right around the corner (even though we are expecting snow tonight and all day tomorrow!!) Here is my card. All cardstock is SU. My DSP is SU Washington Apple. I love this paper!!! I embellished a Heidi Swapp Acetate Flower with my two way glue pen and dazzling diamonds. Then found a button in my stash to finish it off. My little tag was made with my new Slice Machine which I am having a blast with. So that is it for me tonight. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great night.
