Great Sketch Challenge

Wow I just love this weeks Sketch Challenge on SCS. SC229. I was a perfect opportunity to use one of my fav Lockhart stamps. Which I stamped on PTI Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black, colored with my copics and cut out with my much neglected rectangle nesties. My cardstock is SU and I layered Sage Shadow and Barely Banana. Colors that I hardly ever use but they matched well with my dp from K and Co. The Wild Raspberry Pack. Yummy yummy paper!!! Now here is my little secret which you may or may not be able to see. I tried to use my slot punch from SU to weave my ribbon through BUT I had already layered my paper and it was WAY to thick for my punch to go through. I thought I would have to redo that panel and then I saw my exacto knife and chiseled away a slot in my panel. If you look close you can probably see the ragged edges but for the most part the ribbon hides it thank goodness. So there is my ribbon and then I finished the card off with a small paper flower from Prima and a few clear skittles that I had in stash. I just love the way it came out!! Hope you do too.

Yahoo the holiday weekend is here. I love Memorial Day Weekend. I make my kids my Summer Pasta Salad that they love and we walk in the Parade in the middle of town with thier schools. So much fun and seeing the Veterans march in the parade always brings tears to my eyes.

Well that is it for me tonight. I will have plenty of crafting time this weekend so I will be back tomorrow with more goodies to see. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great night.
