I'm stamping again!!

There is nothing like breezing through all of my DSP to get me motivated. I just LOVE the colors, designs, the possibilities!! So that paired up with a few sketch challenge print outs, I felt good to go. So I made two new cards to share with you today. The first one is a Tiddly Inks from Stamping Bella and the sentiment is exactly what I felt like doing when I got some motivation back. "Dance like no one's watching" All of my cardstock is SU and I am not sure of the DSP. It was given to me by my past Bella Sistah Heidi!!

The second card is from a gorgeous stamp from Paper Pretties. I just love coloring this little watering can in and I did so with my Prisma Pencils and gamsol. My DSP is from the past SU prints pack and all my cardstock is SU. Sentiment is from Stamping Bella. Ribbon from Michaels and brads are MM's

Thanks so much for stopping by. Leave me a comment and let me know you were here. I love hearing from all of you. Have a great night!! Oh and by the way, I know my pictures tend to be alittle dark. I am not real happy with them myself and I am working on the problem.

I have been inspired

Hi Everyone! Well like I said yesterday, I took the WHOLE day today and stamped my little fingers away. I loved every minute of it. My kids both had playdates and the rain stopped long enough that they all went outside and made forts in the backyard. Then I heard it was "Go outside and play" day on Nickelodeon so I am glad they had that chance. Then in between snacks, drinks, and the old "he said/she said" I just stamped. I made 7 cards today but I am only going to post 4 because I am debating whether to try out for a design team.

So the four cards I AM going to show you are so cute (if I do say so myself :) ) I hope you enjoy them. I will be home again tomorrow stamping some more so I will be back again tomorrow. Have a great night. Oh and I forgot to tell you why I was inspired.....Kim over at Crafts by Kim made the most adorable Halloween cards today so I was inspired to make one as well. Enjoy!!

What lousy weather!!!

We are experiencing such yucky weather here on LI. It rained all day today and they predict rain for most of the weekend. So I did something I HARDLY ever do. I stayed in my lounge pants and tank all day and made some cards and chicken soup. It was a perfect day for it. I made enough soup to last over the weekend. YUM!! My cards came out pretty good too. I actually spent some time making a few duplicates of some I already had so that I can sell them, and then I made these two new ones. The first one is made from images I stamped at my SU bud Jodi's house. It is from Pun Fun. The DSP paper I bought on sale at Michaels for .25 a sheet, and my cardstock is all SU. The second card was made from a Lizzyann stamp and my sentiment I bought on sale at Michaels. My DSP was the sale at Michaels and my cardstock is all SU. I hope you enjoy my rainy day creations. There will be plenty more this weekend. I will post again tomorrow. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day.

Card for a cause

I am posting this card tonight that I made for the Altman House caregivers. There is blog candy on Cammies website and she is asking everyone to send a card to a caregiver of an Alzheimer patient. I think this is a very worthwhile cause. Alzheimer's is a horrid disease that is way harder on the family of the patient than the patient most of the time. I am honored to send my card today to this cause for her. My card was a stamp given to me by my bella sistah. Curley Ewe. Isn't he sweet. Dont ask me WHY I think it is a he but I do. My sentiment is from SU Pun Fun and all of DSP and cardstock is SU also. My ribbon is Basic Elements and also a gift from my Bella Sistah (thanks Amy) I hope you all enjoy this card and go check out Cammies blog for more info on this blog candy. The giveaways are tremendous. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

I am on a roll!!!

I am soooo happy. I had time AGAIN today to make a few cards. I should really check the dust bunnies under the furniture. They must be piling up by now!!! LOL.

My first card is another festive holiday card. The stamp set that I used is an OLD set from SU. It is marked 2003 but I bought it on ebay and I do not know the name. Can anyone fill me in? The DSP I used is from my Glitter Christmas stack again and I colored the little tree with my Prisma Pencils and gamsol. Thank you Jodi for teaching me this technique. What a difference it is making on my cards.

The second card I made tonight is also a SU set. Pun Fun. My DSP is SU and of course so is all of my cardstock for both cards. The coloring on this card was watercolored with my aquapainter. I love this technique also. Gives it a nice soft look.

So I am giving my cards their first airing at a craft fair this coming weekend. I sell my doll clothes at craft fairs and ALL my friends and family keep telling me I need to bring my cards also. I have been so hesitant. It is alittle scary for me to show my cards to people and sell them. It is different one on one like I already do but at a fair!!! Well I am getting over myself and bringing a box full this weekend. (deep breath). Wish me luck!!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope you enjoy the cards. Have a great day!!

I am in a festive mood....

Well I was until I had to put my daughter into her room for the night for being fresh. Now as I am typing this on my laptop I am getting notes from her telling me I am the worst mom in the world, she loves daddy better and that she would want to live with any other Mom but me. It is taking all of my energy not to laugh at this because I know it would make her even madder. Now I just received a note telling me she is sorry. She is nine years old and I truly think she PMS's ALL the time. But if she is sorry I will let her out of her room soon. UGGGHH being a Mom can be so difficult sometimes.

Anyway. Onto the festive mood part. I bought two mat packs last week. One was the Glitter Fall pack from DCWV and the other was the Glitter Christmas pack from DCWV. I decided today was the day to play with some of the paper. I used my "Falling for you" stamp of Sophia from Paper Pretties. Isn't she so sweet. I belong to their stamp of the month club and I receive a new adorable Sophia every month. Gotta love it!!! So anyway I used Sophia for my Fall card with my DP from the Fall Pack and for my Christmas card I dont even know whose stamp that is. The box just says Country Christmas. I used SU card stock on both cards and I colored with my Prisma Pencils and gamsol. Hope these cards put you in a festive mood too. Have a great night and thanks so much for stopping by and looking.

Goodbye to the old Shea Stadium

Well it is midnight here in NY. I worked a craft fair ALL day today so I was pooped when I went to sleep earlier in the evening, but tonight is the last game that the NY Yankees will be playing in the old Shea Stadium and the kids (not really kids but very young adults) across the street from me are having a WILD party watching the game. The yelling and hooting actually woke me up, and I was able to hear their TV during the seventh inning stretch because they turned it up so loud and were singing to it!!! :) So here I am now wide awake. So I finished a card I had started earlier and I figured I might as well post it. I received this stamp from my first bella sistah and I actually never inked it up until now. It is called "funky clothesline". I paired it with my new DP from SU and used SU card stock also. The coloring is done with my prisma pencils and gamsol. I hope you like it. Red is not usually my color to work with but I have to tell you that I just LOVE this new paper from SU so much that I can see me working around it ALOT more. Have a great week everyone. Thanks for stopping by.

Thank You to my Bellah Sistah Amy

Well I received such a fun package in the mail today. A bunch of goodies from my Bellah sistah Amy. I am so excited. She sent me 4 rolls of GREAT ribbon, 2 bottles of Stickles in the best colors, a Stamping Bella stamp (curly ewe....he is sooooo cute) and the BEST BEST BEST is a Making Memories holder for all of my brads and she filled it with the most scrumtious brads in the best colors. I could not wait and I added ALL of my brads also. This holder is the BEST!!! I have never seen anything like this before. Thanks so much Amy!!!

I also got to make a card today in the middle of laundry, cleaning and keeping the kids in line. I made another Tilda. She is so adorable with her little rain boots. I wish I knew her name. I received the image in a swap. Anyway, I colored her with Prisma Pencils and Gamsol. My cardstock is all SU and my DP is from Daisy D's. The embellies are from Spare Parts. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT DAY!!

My First Halloween Card

Hi Everyone. Since I am fairly new to stamping, this is my first Halloween making cards. I had a hard time with the card below because Halloween colors are not my fav and I just don't feel I coordinated it well. I do however love the new stamps that I bought for the card. Those witch legs are too cute and I love the sentiment. Both are from Michaels.

The second card I made today is an Anniversary card that I had to make for a customer. It is simple and sweet. All cardstock is from SU on both cards. The DP on the Anniversary card is Parisian Summer from SU and the paper on the Halloween card is from DCWV. The Fall Mat Pack. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great weekend.

Wow!! Look what I made.....

I am so excited because I got in a really fun day of crafting today. Not only was I able to make 3 cards, but I worked on some new card layouts and I inked up a stamp that had not been inked yet. That is ALWAYS exciting to me. I needed a couple of General cards to send with packages and swaps so my sentiments are very general. I have also decided, being I cut so many layers today, that I need a new paper cutter. I am working with a very basic cutter that I got at Staples many years ago. Actually in my pre stamping days. But I am not ready for something a bit more powerful should I say and one that has the measurements on it. What I do now is mark my spot by measuring out from my Grid mat. I works fine but I know it can be easier with something of alittle better quality. Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

Anyway onto my cards. I used two Bella images today that I received in swaps, and my third card is made from a stamp by Paper Pretties. I just love their little Sophia stamps and I actually belong to their Stamp of the Month Club so I get a brand new one every month. Maybe I will ink her up tomorrow!!! If you happen to head over to Paper Pretties and want to sign up for their Stamp of the Month club, give them Jodi's name as a referral. She is on their design team and is a good pal of mine.

Well here are my cards for today. I hope you enjoy them. Have a great week and thanks for stopping by.

Am I ready for Fall?

Well I finally had a moment today to do some crafting. I made four cards today, and my very first Magnolia!! She is just so darn cute and I have some images I purchased on ebay and I purchased 2 stamps so I was eager to make a card with this little cutie. It is also the first card I made for the fall season. It is so funny about the fall. At first I am so NOT into the colors of the season. They feel so drab to me but as the weather gets cooler I find myself getting so excited about the rusts, oranges and browns. It really is a season that has to grow on me every year. So below you will see what I have been busy making. A Get well Soon card, an Anniversary card, a "Thinking of you" card and yes, my Tilda in Fall colors. Hope you enjoy looking at them. Thanks for stopping by.

This is a simple get well soon card. I used my new circle nesties, my photo corner punch from SU, and the sentiment is Studio G from the dollar bin at Michaels.

"Thinking of you" is a bright and cheerful card I made for my daughter to send to her best friend that moved away. She is really missing her and I wanted to make something fun for her to send.

"Celebrate LOve" is a card I made for an Anniversary. I used my nesties, SU sentiments, and Wedding Designer paper. The cute flowers I received in a swap.
And last but not least is my ADORABLE little Tilda in wonderful fall colors. I colored her with my Prisma Pencils and Gamsol.

Thanks again for stopping by.

I have been busy at work

Well I received an order to make some greeting cards for someone and I have been real busy lately making alot of cards for this particular order. Alot of the cards they picked were picked from samples in stock so I have been duplicating what I have already made which is not always so much fun. Quite honestly if you have never done this it actually feels like work!!!! You are not using any new creativity. But I did have to make a few new cards yesterday so I was thrilled. I had to make a few Sympathy cards for the pack and a few Get Well Soon Cards. So this is what I am posting here today. With the rain and wind that we had here yesterday it was a perfect day to get all this done also!!! Here they are. Let me know what you think!! Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT DAY!!!

Fruit Salad....Yummy Yummy!!

Well here is my entry that I made for over at the luckybuggers site. Heidi (my old bella sistah boo hoo) Put us all to the challenge. We had to pick 5 kinds of Fruit and then a week later she listed what kind of embellishment's the fruit was that we had to use. So for my card I had to use the following embellishments:

-4 Glittery Embellishments
-4 Glittery Brads
-Clear Epoxy Sticker
-Acetate or liquid glass
-Jumbo Monogram

And this is what I came up with. The four glittery flowers were cut out and propped up on dimensionals. My four glittery brads are in the center of the flowers. My clear epoxy flower is at the cross of the paper. You can see the monogram and over that is a layer of acetate with a slight green pattern in it to match the stripes in the paper. Thanks so much for coming over and looking. Comments are always appreciated. Let me know what you think!! Have a great Day.
