Enjoy!!

Hi Everyone!!! I have been on a roll in my crafting room. My kids are away visiting my Aunt in MA and I have a ton of free time so I have been creating my little butt off!! Today's card was actually alittle bit of a challenge because I do not usually do CAS cards like this but I have had this set from PTI called Life for months and it just screamed to be inked up. I stamped two separate leaf stamps from the set onto PTI Cardstock and cut them out with Labels 9. I used Razzleberry and Old Olive ink. The dp I used was from two different SU sets. The floral is from Urban Garden and the stripe is from Green Tea (both retired...darn). My cardstock is Razzleberry and Old Olive and I stamped my sentiment right onto my dp with Memento Tuxedo Black. Oh and my designer brad is from SU. I cant tell you how long I have been hoarding these. I am glad I was finally able to put it to good use.

So have yourself a fantastic day. Enjoy Life today and thanks so much for stopping by. Have a good one!!

LPS Monday Sketch!!

Good Morning and Happy Monday to you!! Hope you had a fantastic weekend. I am so excited today to bring you another fabulous Monday Challenge from Little Paper Shop Blog. Today's challenge happens to be a sketch and its a fun one!!

For my card today I used a brand new Winter Digi from Little Paper Shop that will be released tomorrow called Igloo. How lady like does she look sitting atop that igloo. (can you be ladylike sitting on an igloo????) Well I think she is and I just love this digi for winter cards!!

I printed her onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored her with my copics. I cut her out with my rectangle nesties and mounted her onto a scalloped rectangle of Bermuda Bay. All cardstock is SU and my dp today is what else??? Cosmo Cricket!!! Then I finished off with a chipboard Parenthesis colored with copics, added a few snowflakes, tiny twinkles and my sentiment if from Angelic Jena which is cut out with oval punches. Oh and I don't think you can see in the picture but I put some crystal stickles around my igloo for some shimmery bling.

Come and play along with us this week. You dont HAVE to use LPS stamps but you can if you have them and of course with the cute Digis that Julia has in the store you can purchase something to play with and have instant gratification. Just upload your card to SCS or PCP with keyword LPSC31. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!! Oh and there is a prize this week too!!! Everyone loves a prize!! One lucky random winner will walk away with the super adorable Katie Carousel!!

Have a great day and if you have a moment check out the rest of the LPS team sketches for this week!! Super talented ladies!!!

Pick of the Patch for Taylors Challenge

Okay I am on a sketch challenge roll!!! I made this card for Taylors Sketch Challenge. I used yet another adorable image from TE called A Year of Sweets 3. I am really falling for these little cuppies and have a wish list a mile long to order from Taylor. For this week I got to borrow my friend Jodi's sets. (thanks girlie)

I stamped my image onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored with my copics. My dp is an old Basic Grey pack called Mellow that I bought on clearance at Michaels. I finished my card off with some SU Vintage Brads and some matching ribbon from Michaels.

I am going to give this card to my daughter for Halloween. I think she will love it!!

Warmest Wishes for Mercy

I have been having alot of fun keeping up with Mercy Kerins sketch challenges for the past few weeks. This week, MTSC36 is fun with that little slant. I had to flip my sketch around to fit my image but the basic is still there. (hope you dont mind Mercy!!)

For my card I used an image from Taylored Expressions set called A Year of Sweets 1. Isnt it just the cutest little thing you have ever seen. I stamped my image onto PTI Cardstock and colored with my copics. My dp is Cosmo Cricket Jolly b Golly. My cardstock is SU Bermuda Bay, Pink Pirouette, and Real Red. To finish off my card I added a fun bow made with Pink Pirouette ribbon. I added some Kaiser Craft Pearls and off to the side I added some snowflake charms I found at Michaels in the Christmas section. I am liking this card so much I just might use it as my holiday card. What do you think?

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great one!!!

Favorite Sentiment Challenge

Hi everyone! Todays challenge over at Dannis Dreams is to use our favorite sentiment on our Flutterby Card. Well mine is not profound or inspirational. Very simple. "If friends were flowers I'd pick you" I have loved this sentiment for a long time and use it often to make cards. The one I have is from Stamping Bella  but today I am using a set from Taylored Expressions.

I stamped my sweet image onto PTI cardstock and colored it with my copics. My dp is from American Crafts, both sides of the sheet were used in this card. I embossed my purple panel with my cuttlebug and Stylized Flowers Folder. All cardstock is SU and I finished off my card with a jeweled brad in purple and some tiny twinkles in purple also.

If you would like to play along with us this week, just create your card with YOUR favorite sentiment and a butterfly or fairy and upload it to either SCS or PCP with keyword FBW. For some further inspiration, check out the rest of the DT's work today.

Oh and before I forget, the month of Sept is going to be an AWESOME month for Dannis Dreams. In honor of  Danni's 40th Birthday on Sept 4, there is going to be a MONTH long celebration with amazing challenges, uber talented guest designers (that you wont want to miss!!) and PRIZES PRIZES PRIZES!!!  You will not want to miss a single week of the fun!!!

Have a great one!!

Awesome Blog Candy....

Just a quick post to let you know about the amazing blog candy that Melissa is giving away. You can see her post right here

You need to know how much I care!!

Hi Everyone!! Todays post is on the melancholy side. I found out yesterday that one of my fellow DT Sisters from The Rubber Cafe was struck and by a car and killed. Now how mind boggling is this blog/internet world...I only knew Michelle Hale from posts and visiting her blog but this has really affected me. I cant get her out of my mind. I dont think alot of us realize how much we can influence, inspire and encourage each other just by the words in our blogs and even the work that we post which may touch someone.
I just wanted to take this time to let ALL of you who visit me know just how glad I am for the friendships, inspiration and constant kind words that you leave. You have all touched my life in many ways. More than you can possibly know!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I appreciate you all and you are all a BIG part of my life whether you realize it or not!!

Quickly let me tell you about this card made from a stamp from The Rubber Cafe called Charming Kitty. I think this kitty is the cutest thing in his little witch hat and that sentiment is cute and spooky at the same time.My dp is from DCWV Fall Stack. I colored my image with copics and cut it out with Labels 2 nesties. Cardstock is all SU, ribbon is from Michaels, charm was in my stash and I cut my sentiment out with oval punches from SU.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Take a moment today and everyday to really appreciate the people in your life whether here in blogland or in your "real" life.

BIG Hugs from me to you!!

Sweet Color Challenge

Hi All!! Hope you all had a fantastic weekend!! We sure did. The weather here was iffy and they were not allowing anyone to swim in the ocean because of the waves and rip tides caused by Hurricane Bill but that gave me plenty of time to clean my craft area and organize alittle. Whew that feels good!! KWIM?? As we all do, I am starting to outgrow my little corner of the world in my basement. So I am thinking of ways to expand myself down there. Should be fun!! I will keep you posted.

Well today is Monday and that can only mean a new challenge over at the Little Paper Shop Blog. Today's challenge #LPSC30 is a color challenge and I have to say, some of my favorite colors. Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss and Bordering Blue. Super yummy color combo. For my card today I used a brand new digi that was just released this month called Jena Fairy. She is super adorable and super fun to color. I printed her onto Choice Buttercream cardstock and colored with my copics. I then cut her out with an oval nestie and mounted her onto a scalloped oval of Kiwi Kiss. My DP is all SU as is my cardstock and chocolate chip ribbon. My sentiment is from the Sugar set and I cut it out with my oval punches also from SU and of course I finished my card off with some tiny twinkles which I just cant get enough of lately. Oh and I forgot that my layout is last Wednesdays SCS Sketch Challenge SC242

So pick up your stamps and come and play along with us this week. The colors are fun and when you finish your card, upload it to either SCS or PCP with keyword LPSC30. We will find you there!! Of COURSE, there's a PRIZE, too! ONE random winner will be chosen out of this week's submissions and will win {Katie Carousel}! BUT, there's more! IF the winner just so happens to go over to the new LPS Forum and become a group member, that said winner will not only win Katie Carousel, but ALL 5 new digis, too! SO be sure to head on over to the forum and join us, 'cuz that winner just might be you!

Thanks so much for stopping by. I am off to get my kids ready for a trip to MA to visit my aunt. Have a fantastic day!!

Had to get this sketch in!!

I made this card for Mercy Kerins Tuesday Sketch Challenge which can be found here. MTSC35.
For this card I used a level one hostess set from SU and stamped it onto PTI Cardstock colored with my copics and cut it out with a Labels 2 Nestie . My cardstock is Dusty Durango and Night of Navy. My dp is from Little Yellow Bicycle and Cosmo Cricket. Ribbon from stash and flowers are from Hero Arts and I colored them with my copics to match my picture.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope I will have this figured out for the next post. Have a fantastic day!!

Grow with love!!

Okay so todays card is one that has me scratching my head. I love my layout, embellies are fine. I love the cutout flowers propped up in the wheelbarrow and then popped up again for dimension. For some reason the wheelbarrow is throwing me off. I cut it out because I wanted the flowers to look like they were in the wheelbarrow but it now looks like it is missing something. I tried to put a circle or oval cutout behind the image but it just did not cut it. I just cant figure out what I want more for this card. Any suggestions?

The card was made with a set from Little Paper Shop called Natures Garden. Really pretty stamps in this set and very versatile. I stamped everything onto PTI Cardstock and colored with my copics, cute everything out and popped layers up on dimensionals. I added tiny twinkles from Taylored Expressions to the center of my flowers and to the scallops on the edge punch. My dp is Apricot Appeal and Regal Rose. My sentiment is punched out using my oval punches from SU.

Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit. I absolutely LOVE all of your comments. They truly make my day. I will be sure to come and visit you too. Have a great day!!

Happy Haunting!!

Well it is that time of year when all the awesome Halloween stamps start to come out. When I received my DT package the other day from The Rubber Cafe I was thrilled with the adorable things that they had for the season. Including this sweet set called Pumpkin Face Mix and Match which you can find here. Can you see the endless pumpkin possibilities!! How fun!!

I decided to make a patch of pumpkins for todays card and I did so by using the masking technique and stamped 3 different pumpkins and then used a face stamp for the middle pumpkin. I colored all with my copics. My cardstock is green and brown my dp is from DCWV Fall Stack and I used a chocolate brown ribbon and some tiny twinkles for embellishment. My sentiment is from another super cute set from The Rubber Cafe called Trick or Treat.

Well quick post for me today. I am off to run a few errands with the kidlets. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fantastic day.

Flutterby CASE

Okay its Wednesday and that means another FBW at Dannis Dreams. Now this week we had an interesting challenge and I am not even sure I did it correctly. We had to CASE one of our Team Members cards. Now I found THIS card over at Kim's blog that I loved and cased but then I realized that it was not a Flutterby card. I hope that was okay. I added a butterfly for FBW. I hope you like it. My sentiment is from SU's Full of Life set, my dp is Cosmo Cricket's Everafter line and my cardstock is all SU. Ribbon and button from Stash.

Come and play along with us today. Just check out the DT's blog's and see what you would like to CASE (Copy and Steal Everything) and then post your card to either SCS or PCP with keyword FBW.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a fantastic day.

Her name is Carousel Katie. Isn't she just the sweetest thing you have ever seen!!! Oh and the coloring possibilities!!!

So its Monday and that means another challenge at Little Paper Shop and this week is an awesome sketch challenge. LPSC29. I used Katie Carousel for my card. I stamped her onto Choice Buttercream with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored her with my copics and glitter pen. The challenge is for a 4x4 card but I had to stretch it alittle because I could not fit my Katie onto a 4x4 for this layout. My dp is Cosmo Cricket, buttons are from my stash. Digi Previews at Little Paper Shop!!!

Hi All!!! Hope you are having a terrific weekend. Today is so exciting for me because I finally get to show you a preview of a fantastic digi image over at Little Paper Shop that is being released this week. There are quite a few being released but I chose this adorable image called Jena and Hank. Bonnie on our DT issued a DT Challenge for today to make a card using the Spotlight Technique and I thought this image was perfect for that. Isn't that little Hank puppy adorable propped up and spotlighted like that!!!

To make my card today I printed my image onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and then printed it again onto the DP and the Baja Breeze Cardstock so I could paper piece Jenas dress. The rest of her is colored with my copics. My dp today is SU and Cosmo Cricket and my sentiment is from the Butterfly Wishes set which can be found here. My flowers are from Hero Arts and I colored them with my copics to match my paper. I love how you can do that, and then I finished my card off with some crystal colored Tiny Twinkles. Viola!!

Sketch Challenge with Ketto

Wow I was able to do the SCS sketch Challenge in the week that it was issued. A rare moment for me as that does not usually happen. I used a RAK image of a cute little Ketto from Stamping Bella. Her name is Rollanda Ketto and can be found over at Stamping Bella.

I know she was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and then I colored her with my copics and Sakura Gelly Roll Pen for some glitz to her wings. My dp is Razzleberry Lemonade from SU and my cardstock is Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry also from SU. I finished her off with some gold ribbon and a few of Taylors Tiny Twinkles from Taylored Expressions. My new fav embellishment. They are so cute and tiny they fit everywhere!!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope you have a fantastic day.

Oh Mercy Me!!

Hi Everyone!! Well I finally had a chance to play along with one of Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenges which can be found here. Her sketches are fun and fresh and I just could not wait to play. My only problem was that this weeks sketch seemed to kick my butt alittle. I dont know why because it is pretty straight forward I just could not get my panels the right size, could not find an image that worked...yada yada yada!!! So this is what I came up with. My sentiment is from Paper Makeup and is called Starstruck. I stamped my sentiment onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black. Then I inked up my star and swirl, stamped off once and stamped over my sentiment. I used my SU corner rounder for my corners. My dp is Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday, Thursday. My cardstock is SU Hunter Green and Kiwi Kiss. Ribbon is Kiwi Kiss from SU and my tiny twinkles are from Taylored Expressions. These are just the sweetest things and a great buy at 3.99.

Thats it for me today. Hope you have a fantastic day. Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Spread our wings and fly with a great coupon!!

Happy Flutterby Day Everyone!! Today is Wednesday and that means another Flutter by Wednesday over at Dannis Dreams. This week we had an open challenge which is good considering I remembered that today was Wednesday about 10pm last night. Being we got home from Ohio on Monday night, my days are off so I almost did not make it this week with a card but while away I received my delicious new Cosmo Cricket Early Bird paper so anything made with this paper is a cinch.

My sentiment is from Butterfly Wishes which can be found here over at The Greeting Farm. I stamped my sentiment onto Buttercream Choice Cardstock and mounted it onto Barely Banana and Hunter Green. My hunter green brads are from Paper Hedgehog and my butterflies are punched from a Fiskars punch and then embellished with tiny yellow twinking stones from Taylored Expessions.

If you get a chance to play along this week, just enter your entry onto either SCS or PCP with keyword FBW. This week simply just make a card with a butterfly or a fairy. Also if you have a chance, stop by the rest of my DT buddies blogs to see some awesome eye candy!!!

Now for some exciting news!! The Little Paper Shop website has a BRAND NEW LOOK and in honor of all new things, Julia has offered the following to everyone on your orders. You really need to take advantage of this coupon. Check out the sets over at Little Paper Shop. One is cuter than the next. Dont miss out!!!

Little Paper Shop Color Me Happy

Hi!! Welcome to another Monday Challenge over at Little Paper Shop. Every Monday a new challenge is issued over at the blog and you get a chance to play along with us for some great prizes. This weeks prize is for two digi stamps and if you have not seen them, they are super adorable and can be found here.

This weeks challenge is LPSC28 "Color Me Happy!" This is a fun one because YOU get to pick YOUR favorite color combo for your challenge. What a cinch!!! I chose blues and yellows as my fav combo although I have to say that I really dont have one fav in particular. I do have a color that I DONT like to use and that is purple so that would have been a challenge for me.

I stamped my image Angelic Jena onto Buttercream Cardstock and colored her with my copics, cut her out with my nesties and popped her up on dimensionals. Her little dangling stars got cut out of the image so I restamped them and cut them out and popped them up and out of the circle. My dp is DCWV Nursery Pack Little Boy. My ribbon was in stash and I used two clear rhinestones next to my sentiment. All cardstock is SU.

If you get a chance, stop by over at the rest of the DT Blogs for some great inspiration and come play along with us. If you post an entry to either SCS or PCP be sure to use keyword LPSC28.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a happy Monday.

Another Christmas Goodie

Hi All!! Hope you are having a fantastic Saturday!! My card today is using images from The Rubber Cafe. The main image is called Long Swirled Ornament and Bow and can be found HERE and the sentiment can be found HERE

My image was stamped onto cardstock with versamark and embossed with black ep. I then cut it out with my precision scissors and mounted it onto my ovals with dimesionals. My ovals were cut out with my nesties. My dp is from Chatterbox, my black cardstock was embossed with my swiss dots folder. I then stamped my sentiment with versamark onto velum and embossed it too with black ep. I finished this off with some velvet ribbon and grey baubles. I like the elegant look of this one and now I have 2 holiday cards done. Whoo Hoo.

Congratulations

Hi Everyone!! If you are reading this on Friday than I am on my way to Ohio to visit my sister!! Whoo Hoo. It is an 8 hour drive from our house to hers so we are leaving at about 5:30 in the am to get there at a reasonable time.

The card I am showing you today was made for a new blog friend who just moved to a new house. Jessica from a Whimsical Butterfly. She is just the sweetest kindest person and when I heard she was moving I knew I wanted to make a special card for her.(and I hope she is not seeing it for the first time here, I hope it arrived to her ok!!)

My image today is a digi that I bought off of etsy. I dont have the store info right at the moment but if you want it, just let me know and I will get it to you. But it is one of the cutest house images I have seen in awhile. Now I started off by printing it onto PTI White Cardstock, colored with my copics, mounted it onto my Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip cardstock only to then realize that the rest of the card had Buttercream Cardstock sooooo back to the drawing board, reprinted it onto Buttercream, recolored, remounted and here we are!!! Dont ya hate when that happens!!! My embellies are simple, a ghost flower with a prima and a brad in the center and some lace ribbon from Taylored Expressions.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope you are having a fantastic day and I hope I am not stuck in traffic somewhere!!! LOL

Butterfly Project

Hi Everyone!! Today is FBW over at Dannis Dreams and each week one of the DT members issues a challenge. This week was Harriets turn and boy what a fantastic challenge it is. Harriet wants all of us to participate in the Butterfly Project. Details can be found here, but in a nutshell the Holocaust Museum of Houston is asking for people to send in hand crafted butterflies. They are looking for 1.5 million which will represent the amount of children that were killed during the Holocaust. What a beautiful idea and a great project for children and adults. I dont have a picture today of a butterfly because I am having my kids work on them to teach them the further about the horrific loss our Jewish Ancestors endured. So please join us and millions of others who will be sending in Butterflies for this very special project. All butterflies must be in by Sept 15th so there is still plenty of time. Thanks so much for stopping by. I will be back later today with a card to share with you!!

Once upon a time....

Hi All! Made this card using last weeks SCS sketch SC239 found here.

I stamped my adorable Flopsey image from MFT onto PTI White Cardstock and colored with my copics. Then I used some delicious dp that I found at Michaels from MME the Bohemia Collection. Yummy paper!! It matched SU's Riding Hood Red and Baja Breeze cardstock to a T which are the colors used. I did some piercing around the two center panels and cut the border of the main panel with my fiskars border punch, treading water. I used SU's Baja Breeze ribbon and topped it with a red button finished off with Linen Thread from SU. Simple simple. This card is going out to a good friend of mine and I hope she loves it!!

Hope you are all staying cool or dry or wet or whatever will make you comfy in the weather in your neck of the woods!! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fantastic day!!
