Bitty Baby Pea in a Pod

Hi Everyone!! Well summer has definitely hit Long Island. We have had gorgeous weather for the past few days and all that horrible rain is just forgotten. Kids have started camp and all is good in my neck of the woods!!

Todays card is just a simple baby card I made the other day. My image is Baby Bella Pea from Stamping Bella. I know, I can hear what you are saying....I am on a Stamping Bella kick! Well actually I am. Don't know why it is just good for my bella stamps to see ink again.

I stamped my image onto PTI Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black and then stamped it twice again onto the solid green paper and the gingham green paper. I paper pieced the babies body and the little pea pod and colored the face with my copics then I cut the whole thing out with my oval nesties and mounted it onto a scalloped oval. My dp is from DCWV Nanna's Nursery Baby Girl. My half circle on the side along with the scalloped half circle were cut with my circle nesties and the yellow was run through the cuttlebug with my Swiss Dots folder. My ribbon is Certainly Celery from SU's Mini catalog a while back. My sentiment is from SU also.

Thanks so much for stopping by and thanks to all of you who sent me this good weather. If anyone needs some I will be glad to send you some!! Have a fantastic day.

Scoops of love

Hi Everyone. As soon as I saw this cute little image from Stamping Bella I knew I had the perfect sentiment for it. Her name is Amplee Tude. Love her long brown hair. I put this card together late the other night so there is not along of embellies going on. I colored my image with my copics and cut her out with my oval nesties. My dp is from the Summer Pack over at MFT. I used two different border punches from Martha Stewart and finished it off with some American Crafts Ribbon. Simple and sweet. I hope you like her.

Well that is it for me today. I have to get back to cleaning because I am getting company over the weekend and I am doing alittle bit each day to get ready.

Have a fantastic day and thanks so much for stopping by to say Hi!!

Bittyblooms brighten my day!!

Hi All and Happy Sunday to you!! I am going to make this a quick post today so I can go and enjoy the day.

I made this sweet card with an image that my friend Karen brought me. She is one of the Bittyblooms from Stamping Bella. She is called Hydrangea Bitty Bloom. Isn't she precious. I colored her with my copics and a spica pen although you cannot see the sparkle in this picture. My dp is from the Spring Pack at MFT and I paired it with some Rose Red and Glorious Green cardstock from SU. I cut my image out with my circle nesties and cut my sentiment out with my circle and scallop circle punches from SU. Ribbon is from American Crafts and my baubles are Stamping Bella also.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope you have a terrific day!!

A sneaky little mouse!

Hi Everyone!! Well guess what I did today???? I WENT TO THE BEACH!! Whaaaa Hooooo!!! That means we had SUN!! Oh boy did it feel great and it was so nice to hang with friends and the kids. Yay me!!

So I made this card with a cute little Whiff of Joy stamp that I have neglected. Isn't he just the cutest little mouse? I stamped this little cutie pie with memento tuxedo black onto PTI Cardstock and colored with my copics and my spica pen. I used dp from DCWV (glitter pack) and from Razzleberry Lemonade. Those gorgeous pink baubles are from Stamping Bella.

Now I have to tell you that as I am writing this post the sky above has turned pitch black (it is 6:30) and it is going to downpour ANY minute. I am sooo glad we enjoyed the day when we could.

Have a fantastic night and thanks so much for stopping by.

What is a friend?

Hi All!! I bought this super sentiment a while ago from Paper Makeup and it is just so appropriate for friendship. For this card I used memento tuxedo black ink and stamped onto Red Riding Hood Cardstock. My dp is from the Wild Raspberry Stack from K & Co. Ribbon was from stash and now I am looking at this card and cant believe I did not put any other embellies on it. Hindsight right??? What are you going to do? Oh and my layout is from Jen Del Muro's SFYTT which can be found here.

Had sooooo much fun yesterday with Karen and Jodi. Karen and I spent the day together shopping eating and dodging rain drops (literally, we were walking through town and got caught in a huge downpour and had to make our way back to the car. We were slipping and squishing in our flipflops!!), and then Jodi joined us for a fab dinner in town and we laughed so hard that we were crying. Best time I have had in a long time!!! (thanks chickies!!).

So I am off for now to go do some food shopping. With the kiddies home for summer vacation I like to keep the house well stocked with lots of goodies to feed them so I do not have to spend money on take out all the time. KWIM?? Have a fantastic day and I will catch up will all of your blogs later today!!

Butterfly Butterfly..can't fly in the rain

Hi and welcome to a soggy FBW. Atleast it is soggy here on Long Island. STILL.....but FBW must go on!! Today our challenge is to create an outdoorsy flutterby card and of course flowers are outdoorsy so I stamped my most favorite Upsy Daisy stamp onto PTI Cardstock with Razzleberry Ink. I cut out my image with my top notz die from SU. My cardstock used is Razzleberry and Melon Mango and I cut my little butterflies out with a Fiskars punch out of Razzleberry Lemonade dp. I used the Razzleberry Lemonade for my background paper too. Oh and of course added alittle bling with the crystals and the crystal stickers on the butterflies. I really like the way this turned out. Simple but elegant.

So why dont you play along with FBW also. Just upload a card with a butterfly or a fairy to either SCS or PCP with the keyword FBW. Also go and check out the rest of the teams beautiful work.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a fantastic day!!

Bella Babe

Hi All!! Well I have some great news to share. I have been picked to be on The Rubber Cafes DT. I am excited about this venture and I will soon share my work with thier stamps.

Well I made this card today for two reasons. First off, I just love this weeks TE Cupcake Sketch. So this is the sketch I used and then one of my new SNE friends is coming to NY today and Jodi and I will see her tomorrow. Whoo Hoo. Well she is the Queen Bella Babe if you ask me. My wish list for Stamping Bella is a mile long because of the awesome cards she makes with them. So I used one of my Bella's with Karen in mind.

I stamped my image onto PTI cardstock with memento tuxedo black and colored with my copics. My dp today is from the Wild Raspberry pack from K & Company. (love this fun and fresh paper). My cardstock is all SU and my sentiment is from MFT. My ribbon is one that I had in stash and then to finish off the card, I put a coat of shimmerz on the flower petals and used my spica pen for the flower in her hair. It just needed that little bit of bling. KWIM?

I want to thank everyone that has had a chance to visit my little girls first blog. She is so excited about it and is having more fun than ever making cards. She is even drawing her own sketches out to use. So Cute!! In case you did not see it, her blog is www.createwithlindsay.blogspot.com. She is really good for a 10 year old I must say.

Have a fantastic day!! I will be back tomorrow with my FBW card.

Finally a Card

Good Morning Everyone and Happy Fathers Day to everyone's fathers and the men in your life!!

I am so excited that I was finally able to do some crafting AND with some new goodies. I received the other day the new In Colors from SU and the new dp that is on preview. All I can say is YUMMY YUMMY!! The new in colors for this year are bright and fun and the Razzleberry Lemonade paper is so pretty.

For my card today I stamped my image from Taylored Expressions, Doctors Orders, onto PTI Cardstock with memento tuxedo black. I paper pieced the comforter, book and pink pillows and colored the rest with my copics. I started out trying to use the Friday TE Cupcake Sketch but it just came out very different so I am back to the drawing board for the sketch!! I used the new Razzleberry dp and layered it with new In colors in Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry. Finished it off with some ribbon I had in stash that matched pretty well and a few baubles. Now, here is what I see on my card that is funny to me. You may not even notice it, but the grey bauble on top of the cupcakes head looks like a little swirl of hair on top of a bald mans head. I just cant get past that!! How funny is that. I probably should have used a different color bauble but oh well. Hope you like it.

I will be back soon with another card because guess what???? IT IS RAINING AGAIN here on Long Island. I actually had a plant die outside because it just received too much water. Can you imagine? It just drowned!! Poor thing.. but my green thumb hubby will probably be able to revive it. He thrives on all that gardening stuff. If I would not yell at him, he would probably turn the sprinkler on DURING the rain. LOL. Of course you have to picture this...we live in a beach community and our property is very small. I could cut my front "lawn" with hedge clippers if I needed too!! LOL Seriously though it is that small but it is his and he is proud of it!!
So I am off to my crafting corner of the world. Have a great day!!

Still Alive Here!!

Just wanted to pop in and let everyone know that I am still alive over here. Thanks so much to everyone for your Get Well Wishes!! Not only did I have a whopping head cold this week but we had a sewage backup in our basement (which is a finished basement so yuk!!) but then to top it all off, today we went downstairs to another flood. We thought omg our sewage is backing up again but no it could not be that simple. Our hot water heater was spewing water all over the place and it was flooding the basement again!! So now we need to replace the hot water heater too. Boy when it rains it pours, and it has literally been raining here for 40 days and 40 nights!!! You cant imagine how gloomy it has been with all the rain we have been getting. Right now all of Long Island is under a flood watch for the next 24 hours....BUT, I am feeling so much better and the kids are happy as can be so what more could a girl ask for? (maybe some crafting time would be good LOL). Hopefully I will be back later or tomorrow with something new to share with everyone. Bye for now.

A Card for Me?

Hi All!! I made this card over the weekend but I am going to give it to myself because I have been feeling alittle under the weather the past two days. If you know me at all you know that I never get sick. My whole family could have the flu and I would not get sick. Until this week. So I hope it will pass soon.

My card today is made up mostly of Taylored Expressions stuff. My stamp used is Doctors Orders. I stamped my image onto PTI Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with my copics. All my cardstock (except white) and dp came from one of Taylors Key Ingredients packs and let me tell you, it is worth EVERY DIME and more. The one I purchased was a special a few weeks ago and it was calle the Brilliant Pack. It has some really nice male shades and I am always at a loss when having to make a male card because everything I own is girly girly. So with the darker colors I made this card and the ones below that I made for Fathers day. The kits come complete with cardstock, dp, ribbon and decorative accents. Pretty Cool.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope your day is fantastic and I am now going to go and lay my weary head down.

May Every Birthday Have Happy in it!!

Just a quick post today with a quick little card I made over the weekend. I am really trying to brush up on my coloring skills so I pulled out one of my Magnolias that are so neglected. I stamped her onto PTI Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black and of course colored with my copics. I paired her up with some paper from my SU Prints Pack in Brocade Blue and Apricot Appeal. Ribbon is from stash and baubles are from Stamping Bella.

I am off to continue studying with my son who has finals for the next 2 weeks. Have a fantastic day.

Okay so I caved in!!

Okay so I have to admit that when my good friend Jodi told me she was going to be on the design team for Taylored Expressions, I was so thrilled for her but told her I just don't get those little cupcake things. They just don't do it for me. So fast forward now a few months and look what is on my blog. Those little cupcake things!! I totally caved in when I saw this set called Doctors Orders. I just fell in love with these little things. Now I have a wish list a mile long of what I want to get!! LOL. Talk about weak!!

So my image from TE is stamped on PTI Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with my copics. I cut out the little tissue boxes and popped them up on dimensionals. My dp today is from the DCWV Glitter Pack. My cardstock is both SU and DCWV. I ran the Apricot panels through with my Swiss Dots folder and I finished it off with white ribbon from my stash. Oh and the sentiment is cut out with my oval punches from SU.

The layout that I used for this card was this past Fridays Taylored Expressions challenge TECC72. Once I had my new set, I had to play along with the fun challenge that she puts out each week.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a fantastic day.

Now, a sweet little boy

Yesterday I posted that precious Girl I made and now today is a sweet little boy. Yup another rak'd image so I have no idea about this image but it was colored with my copics and spica glitter pen. My dp is from SU Prints Pack and from hmmm I just drew a blank....I think Bella Bleu. My ribbon was a white ribbon that I colored with my copic to match the Garden Green. Pretty cool huh? I learned that from Cindy Lawrence at Stamp New England. I also colored those cute little baubles at the top to match too. My sentiment was cut out using my oval and scalloped oval punches from SU.

So here is a funny story....my daughter is 10 and takes gymnastics. She loves it so much and tumbles and backbends all over the place, but by no means is she ready for a "team". My husband on the other hand only see's her tumbling at home and she is pretty good at home. So tonight we went to her little end of year gymnastics show and they go through all the equipment with little routines. They are all alittle clumsy and still needing alot of help from the spotters and my poor hubby turns around to me and says "Did they practice this with the girls??" Well of course they have. For the past 5 monthes they have been practicing. I had to chuckle. I dont know what he expected to see tonight....the next Shawn Johnson?? hehe. Most important was that she had a great time, got a cool t-shirt and a trophy that she is super proud of!! Way to go Lindsay!!!

Well I am off to get a few things done. Hope you had a great night. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Precious Girl

Okay, now I just cant figure out if I LOVE or HATE this card. I love the image that was RAK'd to me. It was alot of fun to color but then the red, teal and black???? Hmmmm I am just not sure. I am not usually such a bold color person. What do you think?

So like I said, the image was rak'd to me so of course I do not know anything about this sweet little image but I love it. She was colored with my copics and then cut out with my Rectangle Nesties. My dsp is from MFT Summer Pack and my cardstock is SU and DCWV. Border punches are Fiskars and Martha Stewart. Brads and ribbon were from stash.

So please, if you have nice weather by you, please send it my way. We had rain ALL last week, a nice weekend and we are getting rain all this week too. I dont even feel like doing laundry and I do that everyday!! UGGG it is depressing. The good news for the day is that I have a wedding to go to on Friday night and the dress I am wearing is my old size and I am able to fit into it!! Whoo Hoo. Now I want a dress in a SMALLER size. Soon soon I keep telling myself. Slow baby steps.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have yourself a fantastic night.

FBW61

Well for once I had my card made well in advance for Flutterby Wednesday. This weeks challenge for FBW over at Dannis Dreams is to use of course a Butterfly or a Fairy and then to use any sketch of your choice and refer back to it. I used an older Mojo Monday Sketch which I just rearranged alittle to adjust to my square image instead of a circle that it was supposed to be. (Can you forgive me??)

My image was one received from a RAK again. I have so many cool images from RAK's that I decided to play around with them alittle this past weekend. I dont know this stamps name but I do know it is a retired TAC stamp. My paper is from K& Company - Madeline. My cardstock is all SU as is my ribbon. My sentiment is from Pocket Silouettes and I cut it out with my oval punches. I cuttlebugged the back Rose panel with my swiss dots folder, added a few brads and called it a day. Hope you all like it.

Come and play along with the challenge. Just upload your creation to SCS or PCP with keyword FBW. Also when you go to Dannis blog you can see the work of our very talented featured stamper this week. Leila.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope you have a fantastic day.

A Sunny Sunflower for You.

Good Morning Everyone!! Todays card is made with an image that I received from my good friend Danni. It is basically how I met her. We swapped some images way back when and have been blog and Internet friends ever since. (Thanks Danni). So I dont know the name of the stamp but I know it is from TAC and I colored this cutie pie with my copics. I keep telling my daughter this is her in the card and she thinks that is so cute, (She's 10 already) but she has long brown hair and is alittle bit of a hippy child. This image just needs to be barefoot and it WOULD be my daughter!! LOL.

My dsp is from a fun stack from K&Company called Wild Raspberry. For this card I used a much neglected cardstock. More Mustard. How often do you really use this color?? So I used that, chocolate chip and baja breeze. My ribbon is retired from SU and was from the very first order I ever placed with Jodi. This was the last of the ribbon for me. (sniff sniff). It was such a delish ribbon, and my sentiment is from SU Pocket Silhouettes and cut out with my oval punches.

So as of yesterday I have officially lost 14 pounds since I started Jenny Craig again. Whoo Hoo for me!! It is slow going. A pound or two a week but it is coming off. Thank goodness.

That is it for me today. Lousy weather AGAIN on Long Island and it is supposed to rain all week. Thank goodness my son is done with baseball or else all his playoff games would have been rained out. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Splish Splash I was taking a bath!!

Or swimming in a pool!! Either way this cute little Sophia is my newest SOTM. So adorable!!! I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black onto PTI Cardstock and colored with my copics. My layout is an old Paper Pretties Challenge. My dp is from American Crafts. It is a double sided paper which was great for this card. My cardstock is all SU. Real Red, Pumpkin Pie and I forget if I used Taken with Teal or Tempting Turquoise!! LOL. And last but not least my ribbon and brads were from my stash.

I spent the ENTIRE day crafting today. WHOO HOO!! I have so many goodies to share with you but I will not post all today. I will space them out but boy am I excited. I got in some serious copic coloring today.

Hope you are having a great weekend. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Mojo Monday on Friday

Hey Everyone!!! Yahoo it's Friday!! I am so glad the weekend is here. The weather this week has been lousy here on Long Island and today was the worst. Rain rain all day long. BUT there is hope for the weekend. Sunny and in the high 70's. Ahhhhh I cant wait.

I finally had a chance to do this weeks MOJO Monday Sketch. Fun as always!! For this card I used an image that was RAK'd to me so I have no idea about whose it is. If anyone knows please tell me because it is soooo adorable. I colored this guy with my copics and I am doing an evaluation on my copics because I feel I need to fill in the gaps with certain colors. I just dont have a corresponding color to highlight with. Oh what a dilema...having to buy new copics. Pitty Me!! LOL. My dp is Prestwick from SU. This is always my go to paper for a male card. LOVE IT. I used Brocade blue and garden green SU cardstock along with a scallop of riding hood red for the circle. I cut my leaves out with my SU Die called tiny leaves. Brads were from stash. And there you have it!!

Quick post for me tonight as my dh just brought me my hot tea. What a guy!!! Bye for now!

A Challenge with Thanks!!

Hi All!! I made this card today for a duel purpose. To do the Sketch Challenge #231 over at SCS and I needed a thank you card that I could send in the mail. Well I saw the challenge and thought that it would be a simple enough card that I could just send it out but I just can't make a flat card. I started to and then just had to add the brads and ribbon. So off to the post office I will go to mail this out to my friend.

For this card I used my MFT Bundles of Bouquets again. I just love this set. I stamped my image onto PTI Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with my copics. My dp is Madeline from K & Company. The cardstock I used was Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze and Kiwi Kiss. My border punches used were MS Arch Lattice and Fiskars. Ribbon is Baja Breeze and brads were in stash. Oh and my linen thread is from SU also.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope you are having a great night!!

A French Flutterby Day

Hi Everyone! It is Wednesday and that means another Flutterby day at Dannis Dreams. For my card today I took out an OLD (for me!!) SU set called Merci. I just love this little butterfly which I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with my copics. I then cut it out and added alittle bling in a few areas. I paired this "French" set with some Parisianne Summer Paper for a real French Flair!! LOL. My flowers are from Prima, the leaves are cut out with my tiny leaves die from SU and my sentiment was cut out with my oval and scalloped oval punches from SU. Oh and my ribbon is Pink Pirouette from SU. So technically except for those Primas this is a real SU card. Whoo Hoo!!

You can play along also with Flutterby Wednesday. Just create a card with a butterfly or fairy and upload it to either SCS or PCP with keyword FBW.

This week our guest designer is the AMAZING Cindy Haffner. That girl knows how to make a gorgeous card!! I follow her blog all the time. Our featured stamper this week is also an AWESOME crafter. Our own Chris. I cant think of enough wonderful adjectives to praise her work. You need to go check out both of thier blogs.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a fantastic day!!

Take a break and relax

Hi Everyone!! I hope you all had a fantastic day. I was busy busy busy today. All good stuff!! I made this card last week for MFT Sketch Challenge and when I was finished I went to upload my card and realized that my card was sooooo similar to one of the samples that they had so I made a different one. But this one is still nice to show you!!

I used an Annie LaPonte stamp from MFT and stamped it onto PTI Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black and cut it out with my oval nesties. Then I water colored it and colored with my copics. My border punches are from Fiskars and MS. Ribbon is So Saffron and my sentiment is from Missy B.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! I am now going to go blogging over to your sites!! Have a great night.
