Ahoy There!!!

I am just loving my new stamps. Today I am using a new image from The Cats Pajamas called A Whale of a Time. Isnt he just the sweetest thing? I also followed Mercys Tuesday Sketch MTSC86 for this one.

I started by stamping my whale image twice. Once onto cardstock and once onto the blue printed paper and I cut both of them out and glued them together. That way I was able to mount my whale onto the background cardstock and make his tale look like it is moving a bit off the paper. Can you see that? I hope so cause it looks so cute in person....My dp is a combo of Togetherness and Pixie Licious from Cosmo Cricket. I created a scallop border on my cork with my Die Namics from MFT. Then to embellish I added a big fun bow, a few brads and a few tiny twinkles. I need to go back to The Cats Pajamas and purchase the wave cut ups. I think it would have made a huge difference in this card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Have a fantastic day!!!

MTSC85

I have been receiving the Unity KOTM for a few months now and I have to say, they are gorgeous stamps but I never seem to have enough time to play with them. When I saw Mercys Tuesday Sketch I knew it would be this image and paper that I would play with. Isn't that blue background paper yummy?? It is from Graphic 45 and I have been hording it for quite some time now. I paired it up with alittle Cosmo Cricket. My image from Unity is stamped onto PTI Cream Cardstock and colored with my copics and a black atyou spica glitter pen. Ribbon is enchanted evening from PTI and my brads are from Michaels. This sketch MTSC85 was a great one this week and I had a ton of fun making this card. I am off to play with some new There She Goes Stamps that just arrived and I am hounding the mailman for an order from The Cats Pajamas, My Favorite Things and All That Scaps....Just an FYI in case you did not know, I found ALL of the new Cosmo Pads on sale at All That Scraps.....oh yum.....new paper!!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Enjoy this GORGEOUS weekend.

Mercys Tuesday Sketch on Sunday!!

I have been lacking in mojo lately. The weather is so hot and I do not have air in my crafting room, but I have missed doing Mercys Tuesday sketch so I was determined today to accomplish MTSC83 today. As you can see I did not do any stamping or coloring today except for my sentiment. My dp is a combination of October Afternoon and Cosmo Cricket. Cardstock is all SU as is my sentiment and the leaf die that I used. Then I simply rolled a few flowers in three different sizes and created a focal panel. I added a layer of scalloped cork on the bottom and my ribbon is PTI. A few pearls in the center of the flowers finishes off this pretty card. I know the weather is really hot just about everywhere and I would prefer this to a cooler summer. The kids are having a blast this year in all their beach activities. So if I am just lacking in alittle creativity, well, I can handle it!!! Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you are keeping cool!!!

MTSC79

I have such a hard time lately getting cards posted to my blog. I will do a bunch of challenges and then I do not photograph them. I really liked this weeks sketch from Mercy MTSC79 so I jumped on it and look....it is posted before the next challenge on Tuesday.

My image and sentiment are both from Stamping Bella. I colored her with my copics, a spica glitter pen and a glaze pen although you cannot see the shine it is there. All of my paper is October Afternoon and my ribbon is SU. Today I wanted to do alittle something different with my sentiment so I cut it up into three, mounted it onto the Real Red paper and then popped it up onto dimensionals. The red paper is crooked on purpose. I thought it looked cute this way especially with the whole rag doll, cute as a button thing going on.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope your weekend is ending on a nice note.

A Baking Preview for You

I have a great new preview to show you today from Little Paper Shop. Meet Baking Lucy!! She's sassy and sweet and comes with the cutest little sentiments to coordinate with all of your baking needs and gift giving. I am sorry for the horrible picture I took today. I am actually posting this Saturday night and I just could not get my lighting right for the picture. But I started by stamping my cute Lucy onto PTI cardstock and coloring with my copics and cutting her out. My layout is based on Mercys Tuesday Sketch MTSC77 and I used some yummy October Afternoon Paper today. I finished this off with some coordinating ribbon from PTI and a gorgeous flower that I had in stash.

Please come by tomorrow for day two of previews with a fun blog hop with my DT sistahs. Till then, enjoy the rest of your weekend!!!

3 Challenge cards to show you!!

I had a bit of time after the parade today to do a little crafting and I was able to wrap myself around 3 challenges. Yay me!!

My first card today is for Joannes Sketch Challenge plus three. Although I did not complete it in time to be in the running for the blog candy it was still a fun challenge to work with. This is the sketch and I chose to use gingham paper, printed paper, ledger paper and kraft paper as my choices. My image is a Penny Black image that I purchased at Stampers Dream. I colored it with my copics. My dp is October Afternoon and all cardstock is SU.

My second card is for Mercys Tuesday Sketch which can be found here. MTSC75. I used a cute image I just purchased from MFT called Little Loveasauras. How adorable is this little guy. Obviously he is paper pieced. I actually did a few layers so that I could make the spine a different color but I am not happy with the thickness of the layers. The dp I used for this one is Basic Grey and MME and all cardstock is SU, and the last challenge I accomplished today was Taylors Sketch Challenge. TESC115. For this card I pulled out some more MFT goodness and used the brand new WTG Goes Green. This set just makes me happy!! I did some paper piecing and coloring with my copics. My dp is MME, all cardstock is SU and I finished things off with some antique brads from SU.

So yes, I had a busy afternoon crafting and it felt GREAT!!! Have a great week and thanks so much for stopping by!!

I'm a week behind on sketches

Made this card for Mercys Challenge last week. I just adore her challenges.

I started by stamping my Ketto image from Stamping Bella onto PTI cream cardstock and colored with my copics and some shimmerz on the wings. I sponged the edges alittle with Memento  cantelope. My dp is from the new October Afternoon line and I mounted all of that onto black cardstock form SU. Then I simply finished things off with some red ribbon from the spring pack of ribbon at MFT. She's cute isn't she??

I dont have any pics back yet to share with you. Hopefully this week sometime the photographer will get them to me. I cant wait for you to see my handsome boy on his special day!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day!!

Krafty Chocolaty Kiwi!!

Kraft, Chocolate and Kiwi....those are our challenge colors over at Little Paper Shop this week and I must admit it WAS a real challenge for me too. The Kraft kept throwing me but I really do like how this turned out and it is so easy to like it with the awesome two sets that I used from Little Paper Shop.

I stamped my balloon from the {I Heart}set twice. Once onto white cardstock and once onto my dp so I could paper piece the balloon. Then I colored the basket with my copics. All of my DP is SU as is my cardstock and my sentiment is from the {Moments} set. OMG you HAVE to check out this set. The sentiments are PERFECT. One more heartfelt than the next. Then for todays card, I used Mercys Tuesday Sketch MTSC61.

The prize that you can randomly win this week for taking on the challenge is Floral Frenzy. Just upload your card with keyword LPSC56, we will find you and you will be entered into the random drawing.  Good luck, have a good time and thanks so much for stopping by today!!!

For my card this week I used Mercys Sketch Challenge for this week. I just {HEART} Mercys sketches and was so glad to FINALLY have a chance to use one again. It has been a few weeks. My image is from Taylored Expressions Discover Your Wings set and my dp is also from TE. It was part of a Key Ingredients called Winnies Walls. Isnt this paper so much fun!! All cardstock is Prism and I embellished with a few buttons laced with chocolate linen thread.

So what are you dreaming for this holiday season? Anything good you want to share about? I am just looking forward to the kids being out of school and having alittle bit of quiet quality time. I love the lazy days of vacation. Beats the stress of homework, studying and activities.

FBW84 and MTSC48

Hi Everyone. Happy Wednesday. Now you know how much I love Mercy's Sketch Challenges and of course I love FBW so I am always happy when I can combine the two together for a fun creation like today.

I used one of my loved Flopsey Stamps from MFT called Flopsey Flowers. I stamped it onto PTI Cardstock, colored with copics and then cut it out to mount onto my panel which was cuttlebugged and sponged with Tea Dye from PTI. My dp is Cosmo Cricket and my cardstock is Not Quite Navy and Kiwi Kiss. I used two seperate edge punches. Fiskars and MS and of course cut out my butterflies with my MS punch. Finished this card off with some paper primas that I doubled up and some crystal stickles in the centers of the flowers and along the edge of the cream flower.

Now come and play along with FBW. You just need to remember to use a butterfly, fairy or angel on your card and this week is an open week as far as the challege. Then when you are done with your card you can upload it to SCS or PCP with keyword FBW or add it to Mr Linky on Dannis Blog. And on my side bar is the rest of the DT links so go check them out and give them some love.

Thanks bunches for stopping by today. Hope your day is terrific!! (OK that sounded alittle like Mr Rodgers didnt it!!!!) Bye for now.
Ann
***I want to send out big sorrys to Kris, Pam, and Karen who I neglected to welcome to our team today!!! You girls are awesome and I am so glad to be on the same team with you!!**

MTSC47 Sending you Smiles

Hi Everyone! Well just to give you an idea of how crazy things are here, I could not find where I put this card today. I picked it up earlier to photograph it, got distracted and lost it in my house!! Took me about half an hour to find where I placed it down!! Too Funny!!

My card today is for Mercys Tuesday Sketch Challenge MTSC47. I used my new Basic Grey Lemonade Paper and a set from MFT called Hooga Booga. How sweet is this little girl monster? She is so cute I cant even see calling her a monster. I paper pieced her little body and then stamped the bow twice onto the yellow paper and popped one layer up for some dimension. The rest of her is colored with my copics. I embellished very simply today using a crocheted flower from my bud Jodi and then a paper prima in the center and few little tiny twinkles in the opposite corner. Hope you like it!! I think she is so sweet.

Thanks so much for popping by today. Hope you have a great one!!

Buttony Friend for FBW

Hey Everyone!! Another wonderful day for FBW over at Dannis Dreams. As always the challenge is to use a butterfly or fairy on your card and either link it to Mr Linky on Dannis blog or upload to SCS or PCP with keyword FBW.

For my card today I used a cute image a friend stamped for me from Stamping Bella. I colored her with my copics and cut her out with my round nesties. All of my cardstock is SU and my dp is from My Minds Eye Oh la la for her. Buttons and linen thread from my stash. My layout however is from Mercys Tuesday Sketch Challenge, MTSC45 which can be found here.

I am still without a laptop so it has been hard to do my bloghopping. I am sorry I have not been around to alot of your blogs to say hi!! I promise I will be back soon!! Thanks so much for stopping by today and have a great one!!

Flutterbys and Fairies!!

Hi and Happy FBW!! This weeks challenge is another open challenge, meaning you can use a butterfly or fairy any way you would like. I took this and really stretched the rules....I just have the WORD FAIRY in my card and then I added a tiny little butterfly to my sentiment panel. Hope this is okay Danni!!!

My card today follows Mercys Tuesday Sketch Challenge MTSC44. My sentiment happens to be digi from Paper Makeup and I printed it out onto PTI Cardstock. My dp is what I consider to be the most gorgeous paper SU has made, Bella Rose. I actually stocked up on this before it was retired and I am so glad that I did. All colored cardstock, ribbon and brads are SU also. Wow I practically have an all SU card. Imagine that!!!

Now if for some reason you cannot read the sentiment, it says "Whoever said that fairies dont exist must never have been mother to a little girl" Ohh how true it is!!! My little girl is the biggest twinkle toes fairy there is!!! And she is not so little anymore going on 11 in two months but she is a real sweetie, always wanting to snuggle and get lots of hugs and kisses!! Gotta love it!!!

So if you would like somemore inspiration to help you with your card this week just check out the rest of the DT. They are listed on my sidebar. They never cease to amaze me with all of thier superb talent. Then after you make your FBW card link it to Mr Linky on Dannis Blog or upload it to SCS or PCP with keyword FBW. Have fun and thanks so much for stopping by today!!!

MTSC43

Okay I know it is Tuesday and Mercy is issuing another challenge today but I just had to finish up last weeks challenge MTSC43. Great sketch for the week. I took out my Lockhart stamp called Pears and stamped it onto PTI cardstock and colored with my copics. My cardstock is all Prism and my dp is Basic Grey Lemonade which is fun fun fun!! Sentiment is from Jessicas set from TGF called Butterfly Wishes (which I just noticed is out of stock but check back again on the website). All embellies are from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great one!!

Sweet Lemons

I have to say that I just LOVE my Lockhart stamps and whenever I get an opportunity to use them I am a very happy camper.

Today's card is made for Mercys Tuesday Sketch Challenge. MTSC42. I started off by stamping my image onto PTI cardstock and coloring with my copics. My cardstock is Bermuda Bay and Dusty Durango and my dp is my new and much loved My Minds Eye Oh la la for her. My ribbon is very vanilla from SU and I had the linen thread and button in stash. Oh and my brads are from SU also.

So my daughter went apple picking with a birthday party yesterday and came home with a HUGE bag of fresh delicious apples, so my goal for the day is to make my Grandmas German Apple Crumb Cake. YUMMO!!! And how delish will the house smell on a crisp Sunday afternoon with apples baking? DOUBLE YUMMO!!! So I am off to start prepping for my cake. I wish you were all here to have some cake and coffee with. Wouldn't that be fun? I would love to meet all of my blog friends but being that is not possible today,  I will think of all of you as I bake and eat today.

HUGS to you!!

The Last Minute!!

*****Please scroll down for today's LPS Preview***

How perfect is this sentiment that I bought from Paper Makeup. It is a digi and I think it is hysterical and sooo true.

I used Mercy's Tuesday Sketch for this card MTSC41. I printed my sentiment onto white cardstock and cut it out with Label 2, did some sponging around the rim with my PTI Tea Dye and then mounted it onto a Label 2 of Sahara Sand. My dp is Little Yellow Bicycle and Cosmo Cricket. Cardstock is Really Rust, Night of Navy and Sahara Sand. My border punch is from MS and my ribbon is from Michaels.

Thanks so much for taking a peek. Hope you have a fantastic day!!

Lady Bird meets Mercy!!

Fabulous sketch this week from Mercy Kerin, and fabulous sentiment from Lady Bird Johnson that I purchased from Paper Makeup. I just love the sketch that Mercy gave this week. MTSC40. I just flipped it on its side to accommodate my sentiment. My papers are all Cosmo Cricket Something New and Something Old. Cardstock is Always Artichoke and So Saffron. Ribbon is So Saffron. Tiny twinkles were added as was the tiny crocheted flower. I also did some antiquing around all of the edges with my PTI Tea Dye and then I used my scissor to distress the edges a bit but you cant really see that in the picture. I think I was afraid to distress too much and ruin my work. I am a bit of a chicken when it comes to distressing. Hope you like this as much as I do.

So what are your plans for this gorgeous weekend? Me? Crafting!! I have some DT work to do and some fun challenges I want to play along with. The weather here is crisp so I will cook a hearty meal for my family again. I just love to cook in this kind of weather. Why is that??? It feels so homey to me!! Then on Monday I will fast on the Holiest Day in the Jewish Calendar...Yom Kippur....a day to repent for our sins....ME? SIN? Never!!!! Then we will be in Temple in the afternoon and break our fast with family in the evening.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Have a great one and I will be back again later or tomorrow with more goodies.

HUGS to you!!!

MTSC39

Hi All!! Gorgeous day here on Long Island. The weather is crisp and sunny. Fall is definitely on its way.

For my card today I used a super cute Bella Image from the Huggabug line. I colored her with my copics and cut her out with my oval nesties. My layout today is Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge MTSC39. FUN!!! For my dp I used some Imaginese Twitterpatted Lady Bug Ball. My ribbon is from stash and so are my flowers and brads. Here's my truth about this card. Under those three very pretty flowers is a total mess. I could not figure out what I wanted to use in this area for the three circles on the sketch. I had big brads, little brads, circle punches...you name it I tried it but nothing went well with the polka dots in the paper. So I have a bunch of holes from my brads that I am hiding. Pretty good huh???

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope your day is going well and I hope you will visit again soon!!

Birthday Wishes Kerin Style

Hi Everyone! Quick post right now just to show you the card I made for Mercy Kerins Sketch Challenge this week which can be found HERE. So did I tell you that I found someone on ebay selling Cosmo Cricket paper at an amazing price?? Did I also tell you that I spent about $70 stocking up on Cosmo Cricket paper?? Well I did and I was able to buy this gorgeous paper ( among others) called Earthlove. So when I went to make this card, I was looking for something fun and fresh and this seemed to work perfectly!! (I hope you think so too). My little birthday hats are from a set from Sweet n Sassy called Owl Occasions. I stamped the hats three times onto Choice Buttercream, colored with my copics and cut them out with circle nesties. I added a few celery brads that I bought also on ebay from the Pink Hedgehog and finished my card off with some crystal stickles for some fun Bling!!!
I will be back alittle later to show you the cards I made for MOJO Monday and Taylored Expressions. Bye for now!
