February week 4 Verve!!

Week four of Verves February Challenges which can be found on their forum on SCS. For todays card I used the Plain Jane stamp from Verve called Give Thanks. I stamped it over my floral image from Loves Flowers in pumpkin pie ink and then cut the circles out with my nesties. All of my cardstock today is Prism and my dp is new from Cosmo Cricket Material Girl. I finished things off today with alittle Very Vanilla ribbon, a prima and some tiny pearls from Michaels.

Thanks so much for taking a look!! I hope you like it. I am trying to learn how to put paper patterns together that dont always "match" but that "go" together as they say on "What not to wear". It does not always have to be matchy matchy but go together. I am a matchy matchy girl and I am trying to break that habit. So keep me posted and let me know in coming days if I am succeeding or failing the look!!! OMG the stress of it all!!   LOL

February Verve Challenges

Hi and Happy Tuesday!! Any one have anything new and exciting going on cause honestly I've got nuttin'!! Have been hanging low the past few days catching up on some challenges. I made this card today for one of Verves February Challenges. I cant remember which week it is for but I used some new Verve stamps called Loves Flower. I paper pieced the entire flower in four different papers. I really love how it came out. My dp is Cosmo Cricket and then I simply added some red brads and some paper piercing in a few areas for some texture and wrapped this one up. So seriously, tell me what is going on out there 'cause I feel like I am living a boring existance the past few days!! LOL!! So please share share share!!!

My day is Brightened by Unity!!

Like I said in my last post using Unity stamps, I am loving thier KOTM. Such fun and whimsical images and sentiments. For todays card I used the cute little trio of mushrooms for my main image. See the little snail inching its way up the side. Ohhhh I love it!!! I stamped my image onto PTI White Cardstock and colored with my copics. My dp is my newly acquired MME Love me do. My sentiment is Verve and I finished off my card today with a cluster of primas, a button and some linen thread. I just love how fun this little card is. Hope you do too.

So if you follow my blog you know that I am in the process of planning my sons Bar Mitzvah. I found out tonight that my invitations are in and I am sooooo excited about that. I cant wait to finally mail them out and find out who will be joining us for this very special day. I know you may be saying "HMMMM she did not make her invites?" Well no, I just could not stand the pressure of having to make 100 PERFECT and I mean PERFECT invites. I would have drove myself crazy with every last little detail on every single one of them! KWIM?? So I will keep you posted on more details on that!!!

Make the most of Yourself!

Love this sentiment and I am loving the new Verve stamps that I purchased over the holidays. I went over to the Verve forum on SCS and I have been playing along with the weekly challenges. I made this card for the week 4 of  January. You can find the challenges here.

This was a simple card to make and yet took me so long to do it. I used dp from my SU Prints pack and from DCWV. My cardstock is all SU and the Verve set that I used was Seeing Stars. I then embellished with some paper piercing around my circle panel and used some black crystals that I picked up from Michaels the other day on sale!!

Thanks for stopping by today!!! It is a big day here in NY for football fans!! The NY Jets have one more game to win and then on to the Superbowl. They were such underdogs and it is so nice to see they have made it this far in the season. I will be wearing my new Jets hat later today and watching along with my boys!! A couple of goodies that I worked on this weekend. The first one I have to show you is a quick little card I made for release day over at Little Paper Shop. It was made using the two brand new sets. I stamped the cute little mailbox for the Lily and Lucy Messages set onto PTI Cardstock and colored it with my copics. My sentiment and the big Love Heart are  from the set In Love and both were stamped with Real Red ink. My dp is a mix of some old SU and I cant believe it but I used no embellishments on this card but I think it is just adorable as it is. If you get a chance, head on over to Little Paper Shop to check these two new sets out!! Another card I worked on this weekend was made with some new Verve stamps and I used one of Verves weekly challenges which I found here. Once again I used some old SU paper and all SU Cardstock  Even my ribbon is SU today. Sentiment and little flowers are both from Verve. For some reason this little card was really kicking my butt, but then I added some rounded corners, paper piercing and it seemed to pull everything together. What do you think?
