Happy Holidays

Have you ever created a card....loved it when you made it and then when you go to post you think of everything you should have done different. Today is one of those days for me. I had so much fun with today's sketch though from Little Paper Shop. It is an awesome sketch, but I am not loving all the green I used on this card. It just looks washed out to me!!! But to fill you in alittle about it, I used two separate stamp sets from Little Paper Shop, Katie Christmas and Merry and Bright. My dp is Basic Grey and I added a bunch of chocolate pearls that I bought at Michaels and my ribbon and prima are from Michaels also.

As always a prize is up for grabs this week for a random player. Head on over to the Little Paper Shop Blog for all the deets and to check out the rest of the DT creations.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you have a Happy Monday.

I paper pieced with some new yummy Cosmo Cricket and colored the rest of him with my copics. I created a very simple layout with Cosmo Cricket again and then embellished with a big red bow and some tiny red crystals.

Monday at LPS

Monday Challenge at LPS is a fun color challenge. Cocoa, Red and Light blue. Okay I feel like a real rebel because I deviated from the colors just a bit. As I was analyzing the colors together it kind of reminded me of Christmas so I pulled out my all time favorite Christmas paper from SU, Ski Slope and viola.....chocolate, real red and baja breeze. Close enough right? I hope so. So then I found one of my fav holiday stamp set from last Christmas, Merry and Bright and got to work. I stamped the North Star onto cream cardstock in Chocolate ink and added a bunch of chocolate pearls. Then I sponged the edges with tea dye for an aged look. I finished things off with some pretty chocolate ribbon and some more pearls and there you go.

Wanna win a prize??? Head on over the the Little Paper Shop blog and check out how you can participate this week in the color challenge and win a prize. You will also see all the other goodies made by the rest of the DT. You will be so amazed at how different everyone interpreted the color challenge.

I would like to take a moment to welcome the two new DT members we have at LPS.  Welcome Joy and Cheryl. Joy has been our guest DT for the past few and now will join us permanently and Cheryl is just joining us so please make them feel extra special today and leave a comment for them.

Paper Sickness and LPS DT Call!!!

Hi and welcome. I made this card the other day as an entry for the MFT Guest DT spot. Well unfortunately it was not the winner this time but I sure enjoyed making it. You need to go check out the winners entry. It was awesome!!!!

So for this card today I pulled out some older Basic Grey paper. I know we all say this, but it is sinful how much paper I have and don't use.  And I just ordered all of the new Cosmo pads yesterday. It is such a sickeness!! LOL. Back to my card.....I used this very sweet Flopsey image from MFT because the theme was flowers so I kind of figured he was very appropriate. I colored him with my copics twice (only the flowers) and cut out a set of flowers to pop up. I cut out two blossom nesties. One in hunter green and one in so saffron and ran the saffron panel through the cuttlebug. I then rolled three different sized flowers and added a pearl to the center of them. The leaves were cut from my SU leaf die. I really love how this came out and I am looking forward to sending it to someone special.

So on another note, Little Paper Shop is looking for 2 new DT Members. All of the deets can be found here but hurry the call is until August 20th so get your entries into Pam right away!!! Good Luck!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting. Have a great day!!!

Little Paper Shop Monday Challenge

Happy Monday to all of you!!! For me Monday means a new Little Paper Shop challenge and this week is a color challenge for you to sink your teeth into. We are using bright blue, chocolate and bright pink. For my card today, I toned down the blue and pink but still went with the general scheme of things.

I started by stamping the mailbox image from Lily and Lucy Messages onto cardstock,  coloring with my copics,  and then cutting out with oval nesties. My dp is a combination of Bella Rose from SU and an OLD prints pack from SU. Ribbon is brocade blue from SU and my flower is prima.

Come and check out what the rest of the DT has created to inspire you and see all the deets on how you can randomly win a prize this week from Little Paper Shop. Just head over to the Little Paper Shop Blog for all of the info.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you are enjoying your day!!!

And last but not least!!!

Finally I have the honor of showing you the last day of previews for Little Paper Shops new release and this one is called "You might be old..." Another hysterical set of sentiments for the "young at heart" I made this card today with a man in mind. I wanted it to be a bit more masculine. I used some October Afternoon paper, SU cardstock, alittle chocolate twine and two buttons. So easy peasy but boy it says it all!!! The challenge today at the Little Paper Shop blog is Distressing of any kind so I roughed up the edges of everything a bit which gives this card a fun look. Great prize again today and great blog hop from the DT. Here is the blog hop order for you to follow and head on over to the Little Paper Shop Blog for the rest of the deets.
Having a great time here in  Lake George. Will be back and rested next week but I have a few goodies to show you this week that I have not had a chance to post. So until then, enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by!!! Here is the hop order for you:

Calling Nurse Jena Calling Nurse Jena

Okay I am about freaking out right now cause I am up in the Adirondack Mountains in Lake George vacationing and I was soooooooooo close to not being able to get an internet connection. It was sooooooo hard to figure out how to get on line but I am here and that is all that counts.....

Todays preview is for Nurse Jena from Little Paper Shop and this was such a fun card for me to make because I shared the deets with my dd and she helped me. She loves Jena cards and we had alot of fun creating this one together. I started by stamping Nurse Jena onto white cardstock and cutting her out. I propped her up with dimensionals. My dp is from Pink Paislee and I added alittle fun with a faux corkboard to clip my prescription to. How adorable!!!  And how adorable this stamp set is. A MUST have!!!!

Want to win a prize??? Check out all the deets on the Little Paper Shop Blog and while you are there you can see all the fabulous previews from the rest of the DT. Have a great night!!!! Back to my regularly scheduled vacation!!!!

Young at Heart Preview

Hi and welcome to this months Previews for Little Paper Shop!!! Boy does Julia have some great new stamps for you this month. Today we are previewing a new set called Young at Heart. It is hysterical. All kinds of funny "aging" sentiments if I dare say it that way.....because we are all still Young at Heart after all!!

For todays card I wanted to create a pretty focal panel for the sentiment. I used a very simple layout with some SU paper. I added a gorgeous prima flower with a bit of So Saffron ribbon behind it and then added a few tiny pearls in the corner. This particular card is more feminine but I have to say that the sentiments in this set can be used for men and women!!

As always when we have previews there is a fun random prize to be given away for all commenters. Take a look at the Little Paper Shop Blog for all the particulars and to find the list of DT members that you can visit.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I will be back again tomorrow for another goodie to share with you.

Razzleberry, Olive Orchids

This is the gorgeous color challenge we have for you at Little Paper Shop this week. Razzleberry, Olive and Orchid. What a fun combination!!! Love it. And I went out on a limb this week and pulled out my watercolor paper and reinkers and tryed my hand at watercoloring these gorgeous flowers and leaves from the set Rose. Now I am not sure if I love what I created. I dont have alot of experience with watercoloring but I thought it would be something fun to try. What do you think? For some further inspiration and to check out the prize you can win this week,  go over to the Little Paper Shop Blog to check out what the rest of the DT has created and while you are there, please welcome our newest guest DT members, Sparkle and Joy!!! They are super talented and I just know they will have something awesome for you to see!! Welcome Girls!!!

I am actually posting this on the fourth of July. What great weather we have had over this holiday weekend. We have bbq'ed, indulged in some fine wine, spent days at the beach, rode our bikes on the boardwalk and just had a great time with family and friends. I hope you did too!!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day!!

A sketch for you to do!!

Okay so I am feeling a little guilty over today's sketch challenge over at the Little Paper Shop Blog. I got alittle flustered when I saw the sketch (thanks Allison!!) and I did not read correctly so obviously I did not follow it to a T. But a sketch is inspiration right? And it inspired me to create this cute card with the newly released Bathing Tyson image.

For this card I rummaged through some scraps of Cosmo Cricket to find the perfect boy paper. I must admit that alot of my paper is very girlie but I think this works well. After I put my card together I realized that I did not embellish at all but you know what? Boy cards cant really use a bow or flower can they? So I think I am okay there.

So on a personal note....Kids ended school on Friday and start summer camp programs today. DD made junior lifeguards and both DD and DS will be doing Surf Camp and Beach Vollyball. They are going to be total sand in their sandals kind of kids this summer. In case you did not know, we live at the beach here on Long Island so all of these activities are within walking or bike riding distance on the boardwalk which is so awesome. Then I can ride my bike on the boardwalk to get some exercise. (Did I say exercise??? It sounded weird coming out of my mouth!!!). I am looking forward to this summer break.

So head on over to the Little Paper Shop Blog where you can check out Allisons Sketch and see all of the amazing samples that the rest of my dear DT Sistahs created.

I would like to say goodbye to our three guest designers who have been with us at Little Paper Shop for the past few months. Your work will be missed and I will be sure to check out your blogs often.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a fantastic day!!

Sorry for being MIA!!!

I have been so very busy with our schools 5th Grade Committee. I am the treasurer and I have been under so much pressure to make sure the books are handled properly and the money is spent wisely. I honestly cant wait for the year to be over. With that said, I have been lacking in time and mojo to create anything on a daily basis but I of course wanted to share with you the color challenge that we have over at Little Paper Shop this week. I honestly wanted to go running when I read the colors but I must admit that it works well together. The colors are Baja Breeze, Melon Mambo and Summer Sun. Instead of Summer Sun I used Crushed Curry because it was all I had that was close enough.
I stamped my image and sentiment from Moments onto my center panel and paper pierced alittle bit for some pizazz. Very simple layout today as this is all my little tired brain can handle!!! LOL. Check out all the deets about this challenge on the Little Paper Shop Blog and check out all the other DT samples that I am sure will knock your socks off.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.
