SSD44

Happy Tuesday to all of my friends. I know I have been MIA for a few days.....life is just getting in my crafting way....Horrible right!!!!! But it is Tuesday and luckily I created my card for today's sketch challenge already. Adorable right???? I used the super MUST HAVE set called Halloweenie from Skipping Stones Design. My dp is DCWV the Fall Stack from last season. You can find this weeks sketch over at Skipping Stones Design. Please come and play along with us!!! It is a great sketch created by the super talented Ashley Cannon Newell. You will love it!!! When uploading your card use keywork SSD44 for this week.

So yes, life has been kicking my butt lately. Started with my grandmother passing away and then a week later a good friend lost her father. My husband needs back surgery again and I am taking my daughter to the Orthopedist tomorrow for an xray on a possible broken finger. This, after she makes the swim team and I spend a truck load of money on equipment for her.....so yes....crafting and blogging have been a bit behind but I do miss all of you and I will be back in the next few days!!! Hang in there with me!!!

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you are enjoying your week.

Sketch #43 Skipping Stones

Hi and Happy Tuesday. I am back today with another awesome Tuesday sketch from Skipping Stones Design created this month by Ashley Cannon Newell. Along with the sketch, I am using a newly released set by Skipping Stones Design called Wisemen. It is absolutely beautiful as you can see here.

For today's card I stamped my image onto cardstock in brown memento ink. The North star was cut out and popped up on dimensionals. My ribbon was in stash and my border punch is fiskars. This gorgeous paper that I have used is from SU. I think it was two years ago but I loved it and stocked up on it and love that I can still play with it.

Why dont you play along with us this week. Head over to Skipping Stones Design, check out the sketch and while there you can check out this new awesome set called Wisemen which is now available for sale. Thanks so much for stopping by today and if you can, go check out the rest of the DT creations for today. They are amazing eye candy!!!!!

Cardstock is chocolate chip and Always Artichoke and then I finished this card off with some golden brown sheer ribbon and tiny shimmery chocolate pearls.

Do you want to win a prize this week? Head on over to the Little Paper Shop blog, check out the sketch and play along with us!!! One random winner will be chosen. HAVE FUN!!! While you are over there you can check out the wonderful creations by the rest of the DT.

You will also want to check out the FABULOUS sketch for the week which was created by our guest Ashley Cannon Newell. It is SSD42. Okay now here are all the deets you will need to know to place an order or bid:

*********Thank You for you Support****************

Welcome to the 1st annual "Blogs 4 boobies" blog bounce(hop)!

We are so glad that you joined us today. This is a very special hop because every card/project that is show here in the "Blogs 4 Boobies" blog bounce is up for auction! We are teaming up with Skipping Stones Design to help raise money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
There are 2 ways that you can help!
1. Go shopping! For every stamp set that you purchase during Sept 15th through the 23rd Skipping Stones Design will donate $2 to the Komen Foundation. Stamping and shopping that you can feel good about !
2. Bid! If you see a card or a project along the hop that you like bid on it in the comment section of the blog post. See how to place a bid for more detailed instructions. If you are the highest bidder September 23rd 8:00 p.m. mountain time then you WIN the card/project that you bid on.

"How to place a bid"
Step #1
Find the comment section of the blog that shows the "Blogs 4 boobies" card or project that you want to buy. *Please note you may only bid on the card/project shown in the specific "blogs 4 boobies" post. *Any bids not placed on the correct post will be considered invalid.
Step #2
Once you are in the "blogs 4 boobies" comment section fill in the dollar and cents amount of what you are willing to pay for the card/project.
Step #3
Next to your $ bid please type in your email address. During a silent auction bidders sign their name next to their bid. typing your email address is the electronic equivalent of signing your bid. Also it will help the blogger contact you if you are the highest bidder.
Step #4
Watch and wait.
Once you have entered your bid/comment sit back and wait. If someone out bids you then you may bid again. Bidding will continue until 8:00 p.m. Mountain time September 23rd

* Please note that the participating stampers/bloggers will probably re-post their Blogs 4 Boobies card/project on the 23rd of September. If/when the blogger re-post their project then the bidding will continue on the NEWEST post and that comment section.

"What do I do once I place a bid"
Watch and Wait
The "Winner of the Auction" Will be the highest bid (that includes an email address)in the comment section of the MOST RECENT blogs 4 boobies post as of 8:00 p.m. Mountain Time on September 23rd

Things to keep in mind:
Near the end of the bidding you may not see bids as they come in. Most blog have a comment feature where the blogger must approve comments before they are published. So bid high. You might have the highest bid that is published, but someone might have outbid you in an unpublished comment/bid.

Boo'ing you with SSSC84

When I saw Karen Girons Sweet Sunday Sketch this week, SSSC84, I knew exactly what I wanted to create. Skipping Stones Design has this adorable Halloween stamp set called Halloweenie and it includes this sweet little poem on my card today,  that you can send to a friend with goodies, anonymously. I created a bunch of them in kind of like an ATC format for my kids friends and I will go around at the beginning of October and give them out hoping that other people will play along for the month of October.

I started by stamping my poem onto cardstock and then lightly stamping the ghost in the background. Then I stamped the witches hat four times, colored with my copics and cut them out to pop up on dimensionals. My border punch is fiskars and all cardstock is SU. Then I embellished the bottom border with tiny purple crystals. I just love the way these turned out. I now have to go get some goodies and get ready for the October games to begin!!!

Pick me up with MTSC90

You know I just love Mercys Tuesday Sketches. I dont get to play along as much lately but I just had to this week because I had the perfect stamp to go with an awesome sketch. The sketch is MTSC90 and I used a new to be released set from Skipping Stones Design called Bras 2. This set will be released on the 15th so keep your eyes posted for more goodies with this set!!

I started by stamping my image onto my dp and cardstock and cut them both out to pop up in the center panel. My dp is from The Girls Paperie which I bought on ebay because I could not find an online store anywhere that sold it. It is so very pretty and feminine. LOVE IT!!! I embellished this card with a bunch of bright pink crystals from Michaels and three bright pink paper primas, also from Michaels. The embossing folder I used is called Polka Dots.

I am so sorry for the poor lighting on my picture. It is a bit cloudy here today so I am not getting the pretty vibrant colors in the picture that I want to.

Thanks bunches for stopping in today. I love visitors. I wish I could make all of you a cup of coffee and hang out and craft with you!!! Enjoy your day!!!

Jumping on the Holiday Bandwagon

I have seen so many gorgeous Holiday cards being made and I just could not get into yet...not until I received some GORGEOUS Chanukah stamps from The Rubber Cafe. The set I used today is called Celebrating the Festival of Lights. It comes with this stunning menorah and 5 different dreidels and sentiments to go along with them. 10 stamps in all.

For todays card I went with the Menorah stamp and colored it in with my copics and a glitter pen. My dp is sooo super old and is from K and Company but it worked just perfect for this card. I embossed the grey panel on the card with my new Polka Dots embossing folder and added three silver brads for some embellishment. Simple yet elegant. I like it...hope you do too.

My kids went back to school today. It is crazy because today was the first day and then they are off Thurs and Friday for the Jewish Holidays.....it is just a tease day!!! LOL.....

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you enjoy your day!!

I started by stamping my image in Memento Black and colored it with my copics. My dp is Cosmo Cricket Togetherness. My ribbon was in my stash and I finished this card off with a bunch of red crystals. I just love the way this came out.

Sorry so late!!!

Yup....the three day weekend messed me up and I am sorry. I was sitting here thinking....HMMMM I need to figure out which card to post today and then it dawned on me that it is Monday and my LPS Challenge card SHOULD have been posted ALREADY....So sorry for the delay.

Today our challenge is to create a CAS card. Yup thats what I said. I know I know....I had a real tough time with this also. CAS is just not me as far as card making goes. I am a layers and layers kinda girl, but I went with white on white and a very simple stamped image and sentiment from I heart and added a tiny little red bow for a little pop.

As always there is a prize up for the winner of this weeks challenge. Go head over to the Little Paper Shop Blog for more info and to check out the CAS interpretations of the rest of the team.

Thanks so much for stopping in today. Enjoy the remainder of the weekend!!!

Fruity kind of day!!

Hi everyone!!! I have another card for you today made with a new set that will be released soon by The Rubber Cafe. It is a great set filled with fruity sentiments and fruit slices. Lots of fun!!!

I colored my image with my copics but I have to say that my apple looks alittle wonky in this picture. The colors are not coming out right. So I colored and then cut out with my circle and scalloped circle nesties. My paper is a mix of scraps from my desk which I have mentioned I am trying to make my way through. Then I stamped my sentiment onto a spellbinders tag and tucked a ribbon on the end with linen thread. I was trying to go for a bit of a rustic feel. Hope you like!!!

We are expecting the tail end of Hurricane Earl to make its way into our town tomorrow so I will have a full day of crafting ahead of me. YAY!!! Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Dont forget to check out all the awesome sets that Skipping Stones has to offer.

LPSC83

We have a fun color challenge this week for you at Little Paper Shop. Olive, Kraft and Orange. I felt a boy theme with these colors so I went with my cute little Bathing Tyson stamp today. I started by stamping my image and coloring with copics. I cut him out with circle nesties and scalloped circle nesties. I went with a simple layout using some Cosmo Cricket paper and 365 Degrees. Then I finished him off with an olive green bow, a hand rolled flower and a few orange crystals. LOVE this little guy. Please head over to the Little Paper Shop Blog for all the deets on this weeks contest and to check out the rest of the DT creations.

Its a free for all!!!!!

Hi Everyone!!! Here is my last entry for the Bella Babe Contest!!! But not my last Bella Card!!! This weeks challenge was a FREE FOR ALL....create whatever you would like to show your stuff. I actually made this card last week for Mercys Tuesday Challenge and had not posted it, loved it so much and decided it would be perfect for this week.

So here we have Pookie Lollipop which I am just in love with. How sweet is that little face peeking out over the flower pot?!! I colored this little cutie with my copics, cut it out with my circle nesties and sponged the edges with cantelope memento ink. My designer paper is a combination of SU and Basic Grey. Then I added a fun Hello sentiment and cut it into pieces. This I printed off my computer. Then I finished things off with a big Olive Green bow and some tiny green crystals. Do you like? I do and I am keeping my fingers crossed that the Senior Babes will like it too!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a fantastic weekend!

I'm Hooked on You!!

This is a cute and simple little card I made the other day using my Rubber Cafe stamp called I'm Hooked on You. I made a simple grid with four panels using some scraps of Cosmo Cricket from my desk. You have to see my scrap pile right now. It is sinful which is why I have been trying to make a dent in it lately. I added a ton of brads for some character. My image was colored with copics and cut out using my oval nesties and my large scallop oval nesties. My sentiment for this layout was too big for the front so I decided to finish off the inside a bit and add the sentiment there. Easy Peasy.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Have a great one!!!

TE Blast from the Past Blog Hop

It is time for a Blast from the Past Blog Hop for Taylored Expressions. I always have fun joining the customer hop because it gives me a reason to use my fav TE stamps that I dont always get a chance to use. Today I pulled out Beary Special. I stamped my image onto cream cardstock and paper pieced her with some scraps on my desk. I believe all the scraps I used are from either Cosmo Cricket or October Afternoon. My border punch is Fiskars and I added a bunch of tiny twinkles. Then I finished things off with a big red bow and two small metal flowers that I bought from Michaels. Here is the blog hop order for you:

Please make sure you hop through and get a look at all the wonderfulness of the TE customers.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a fantastic day!!!

Monday at LPS

Monday Challenge at LPS is a fun color challenge. Cocoa, Red and Light blue. Okay I feel like a real rebel because I deviated from the colors just a bit. As I was analyzing the colors together it kind of reminded me of Christmas so I pulled out my all time favorite Christmas paper from SU, Ski Slope and viola.....chocolate, real red and baja breeze. Close enough right? I hope so. So then I found one of my fav holiday stamp set from last Christmas, Merry and Bright and got to work. I stamped the North Star onto cream cardstock in Chocolate ink and added a bunch of chocolate pearls. Then I sponged the edges with tea dye for an aged look. I finished things off with some pretty chocolate ribbon and some more pearls and there you go.

Wanna win a prize??? Head on over the the Little Paper Shop blog and check out how you can participate this week in the color challenge and win a prize. You will also see all the other goodies made by the rest of the DT. You will be so amazed at how different everyone interpreted the color challenge.

I would like to take a moment to welcome the two new DT members we have at LPS.  Welcome Joy and Cheryl. Joy has been our guest DT for the past few and now will join us permanently and Cheryl is just joining us so please make them feel extra special today and leave a comment for them.

Thanks for stopping by today!!! Have a great day.

A sketch for Bellarific Friday

There was a fun sketch for Bellarific Friday today. For my card I decided to use Turtle Tots Cheerleader. I stamped her onto cream cardstock and colored her with copics. Then I stamped her again and cut out her pompoms and popped them up for some dimension and added some crystal stickles. My dp was from stash and I am sorry I dont remember who made it. Then I used two border punches for the bottom panel and added some fun daisy ribbon and crystals. The sentiment comes with the Turtle Tot Stamp.

Next week is the last challenge for the Bella Babe spot. I am looking forward to seeing what it will be. Wish me luck!!! There is a ton of very good competition!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great weekend.
