SSD Blog Hop Release!!!

Welcome to the Skipping Stones Design Blog Hop to celebrate the release of two new sets, Sentiment Frames #1 and Brrrthday! Today the DT and Guests of SSD will be featuring cards using Sentiment Frames #1. If you've just happened upon my blog today, make sure to start from the beginning at Skipping Stones Design. You should have arrived here from Amys blog.

Combined with the blog hop today, it's also Skipping Stones Sketch Tuesday which means we're showcasing another great creation from our Guest Sketch Artist this month, Maile Belles. We'd love for you to play along with the sketch and link your card at the Skipping Stones Blog. A free stamp set is up for grabs to a lucky winner that joins our sketch challenge!

For todays card I went with the feel of the set and made an elegant feeling card.  I stamped my sentiment frame and sentiment in Baja Breeze onto white cardstock and sponged with tea dye. I cut it out and placed it onto a labels 9 cutout. My dp is SU and I finished things off with some very pretty tiny blue pearls, sheer ribbon and a prima flower.

I am picking up my hubby from the hospital today and I cant wait to get him home!!!! The house is just not the same without him.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day and please play along with the sketch this week. You could be a winner!!!!

Skipping Stones Feature Set and Sketch

We have another fun sketch for you this week from Skipping Stones Design and with it we are featuring a gorgeous holiday set called Christmas Swirls. This is a super versatile set that requires no coloring so you can really bang out your holiday cards with ease.

For todays card I pulled out some super old DCWV paper called Luxury Stack. The papers are so elegant and that was the look I was going for this week. My two kraft panels were embossed with two different folders and I pulled everything together with some fabu silk ribbon from May Arts and a pearl center.

Head on over to Skipping Stones Design to check out the sketch for you to play along with this week and dont forget to pick up the Christmas Swirls set while you are over there. It is listed under Seasonal Stamps. Also please leave some love for the rest of the DT. They are listed on my sidebar!!!

Happy Tuesday and with that comes another AWESOME sketch challenge from Skipping Stones Design which has been created for us by Karen Giron. Now I must admit I was alittle intimidated by this sketch when I first saw it but oh my what fun I had when I got started.

For today's card I used two sets from Skipping Stones...Grunge and Cancer Schmancer. I love the way this new set, Grunge, can be used for both feminine and masculine cards. I stamped my images in Real Red ink. My dp is Girls Paperie Tinsel and Twigs....can you say yummy!!!!!( I always have love affairs with new paper and boy am I in love with this new paper!!!!) Then I finished things off with some black rhinestones and a sheer black ribbon and bow.

So please come and play along with us this week. You can be in the running to win a stamp set at half price from Skipping Stones Design.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Please leave some love for my DT sisters this week too. They are listed on my sidebar. I have seen their creations and boy will you be inspired!!!

A Grungy Sketch for You!!!

Hi All!!! It's Tuesday and that means our weekly Tuesday Sketch (SSD47) for you over at Skipping Stones Design. Once again our sketch is brought to us by our Guest Sketch Artist Karen Giron and we have also incorporated a newly released set that you will love called Grunge. You have to check out the fabby backgrounds with this awesome masculine set. And although it leans toward the masculine, you will see alot of feminine cards being made with it from our DT including mine!!!

For todays card I used the woodgrain background stamp on the yellow cardstock and stamped it in versamark so it is a very light texture look IRL. The butterfly and sentiment are from the other newly released set called Cancer Schmancer and don't forget that with the purchase of this set in the month of October, $4 is going to be donated to the Susan B Komen Foundation for breast cancer research.

Please dont forget to check out the rest of the teams creations including our awesome Guests for the month. Here is a rundown for you!!!

Happy Tuesday to all of my friends. I know I have been MIA for a few days.....life is just getting in my crafting way....Horrible right!!!!! But it is Tuesday and luckily I created my card for today's sketch challenge already. Adorable right???? I used the super MUST HAVE set called Halloweenie from Skipping Stones Design. My dp is DCWV the Fall Stack from last season. You can find this weeks sketch over at Skipping Stones Design. Please come and play along with us!!! It is a great sketch created by the super talented Ashley Cannon Newell. You will love it!!! When uploading your card use keywork SSD44 for this week.

So yes, life has been kicking my butt lately. Started with my grandmother passing away and then a week later a good friend lost her father. My husband needs back surgery again and I am taking my daughter to the Orthopedist tomorrow for an xray on a possible broken finger. This, after she makes the swim team and I spend a truck load of money on equipment for her.....so yes....crafting and blogging have been a bit behind but I do miss all of you and I will be back in the next few days!!! Hang in there with me!!!

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you are enjoying your week.

Sketch #43 Skipping Stones

Hi and Happy Tuesday. I am back today with another awesome Tuesday sketch from Skipping Stones Design created this month by Ashley Cannon Newell. Along with the sketch, I am using a newly released set by Skipping Stones Design called Wisemen. It is absolutely beautiful as you can see here.

For today's card I stamped my image onto cardstock in brown memento ink. The North star was cut out and popped up on dimensionals. My ribbon was in stash and my border punch is fiskars. This gorgeous paper that I have used is from SU. I think it was two years ago but I loved it and stocked up on it and love that I can still play with it.

Why dont you play along with us this week. Head over to Skipping Stones Design, check out the sketch and while there you can check out this new awesome set called Wisemen which is now available for sale. Thanks so much for stopping by today and if you can, go check out the rest of the DT creations for today. They are amazing eye candy!!!!!

Boo'ing you with SSSC84

When I saw Karen Girons Sweet Sunday Sketch this week, SSSC84, I knew exactly what I wanted to create. Skipping Stones Design has this adorable Halloween stamp set called Halloweenie and it includes this sweet little poem on my card today,  that you can send to a friend with goodies, anonymously. I created a bunch of them in kind of like an ATC format for my kids friends and I will go around at the beginning of October and give them out hoping that other people will play along for the month of October.

I started by stamping my poem onto cardstock and then lightly stamping the ghost in the background. Then I stamped the witches hat four times, colored with my copics and cut them out to pop up on dimensionals. My border punch is fiskars and all cardstock is SU. Then I embellished the bottom border with tiny purple crystals. I just love the way these turned out. I now have to go get some goodies and get ready for the October games to begin!!!

Hoppy Birthday!!!

I am so excited to post my card today. It is my first official post as a Stamp Tramp for Skipping Stones Design and today is our weekly Tuesday Sketch challenge SSD41. For todays card I used the super cute set from Skipping Stones Designs called Gray Hares. OMG this set is real cute and super funny.

I started by stamping my image in Memento Black and colored it with my copics. My dp is Cosmo Cricket Togetherness. My ribbon was in my stash and I finished this card off with a bunch of red crystals. I just love the way this came out.

Wanna play along? Just head over to Skipping Stones and check out the sketch. Then for further inspiration, you must check out the rest of the DT's creations. You can find everyone listed on my sidebar. You will be super motivated. Trust me!!!
