The Last Minute!!

*****Please scroll down for today's LPS Preview***

How perfect is this sentiment that I bought from Paper Makeup. It is a digi and I think it is hysterical and sooo true.

I used Mercy's Tuesday Sketch for this card MTSC41. I printed my sentiment onto white cardstock and cut it out with Label 2, did some sponging around the rim with my PTI Tea Dye and then mounted it onto a Label 2 of Sahara Sand. My dp is Little Yellow Bicycle and Cosmo Cricket. Cardstock is Really Rust, Night of Navy and Sahara Sand. My border punch is from MS and my ribbon is from Michaels.

Thanks so much for taking a peek. Hope you have a fantastic day!!

You make my heart happy!!

Happy Flutterby Wednesday!! Today is the last Wednesday that we will be celebrating Danni's Birthday and our challenge for today was to use her birthstone color which is Sapphire. Now I had to look this up because diamonds and pearls are as far as I go with gems. So being Sapphire is a blue color I went with Not Quite Navy and Danni's favorite color pink for my card today.

My image is a new digi from Pink Cat Studio which I printed onto PTI cardstock and colored with my copics. I also added a little bling on the antennae with my spica pen and a little shine on the polka dots with Crystal Effects. My dp is all SU and my sentiment is from Paper Makeup Stamps Then I finished off my card with some Pink Pirouette ribbon and a few tiny twinkles in the flowers.

If you would like to play along this week, just create a card with Sapphire colors and upload to either PCP or SCS with keyword FBW or add it to Mr Linky on Dannis Blog. Also, when you get a chance check out the rest of the DT's creations for this week. Oh and before I forget, we are welcoming back Taylor and Kristie this week to the team so WELCOME BACK GIRLIES and our guest designer this week is Anna!! (she has an awesome blog so go and check her out too!!!)

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great one!!

Lady Bird meets Mercy!!

Fabulous sketch this week from Mercy Kerin, and fabulous sentiment from Lady Bird Johnson that I purchased from Paper Makeup. I just love the sketch that Mercy gave this week. MTSC40. I just flipped it on its side to accommodate my sentiment. My papers are all Cosmo Cricket Something New and Something Old. Cardstock is Always Artichoke and So Saffron. Ribbon is So Saffron. Tiny twinkles were added as was the tiny crocheted flower. I also did some antiquing around all of the edges with my PTI Tea Dye and then I used my scissor to distress the edges a bit but you cant really see that in the picture. I think I was afraid to distress too much and ruin my work. I am a bit of a chicken when it comes to distressing. Hope you like this as much as I do.

So what are your plans for this gorgeous weekend? Me? Crafting!! I have some DT work to do and some fun challenges I want to play along with. The weather here is crisp so I will cook a hearty meal for my family again. I just love to cook in this kind of weather. Why is that??? It feels so homey to me!! Then on Monday I will fast on the Holiest Day in the Jewish Calendar...Yom Kippur....a day to repent for our sins....ME? SIN? Never!!!! Then we will be in Temple in the afternoon and break our fast with family in the evening.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Have a great one and I will be back again later or tomorrow with more goodies.

HUGS to you!!!

Oh Mercy Me!!

Hi Everyone!! Well I finally had a chance to play along with one of Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenges which can be found here. Her sketches are fun and fresh and I just could not wait to play. My only problem was that this weeks sketch seemed to kick my butt alittle. I dont know why because it is pretty straight forward I just could not get my panels the right size, could not find an image that worked...yada yada yada!!! So this is what I came up with. My sentiment is from Paper Makeup and is called Starstruck. I stamped my sentiment onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black. Then I inked up my star and swirl, stamped off once and stamped over my sentiment. I used my SU corner rounder for my corners. My dp is Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday, Thursday. My cardstock is SU Hunter Green and Kiwi Kiss. Ribbon is Kiwi Kiss from SU and my tiny twinkles are from Taylored Expressions. These are just the sweetest things and a great buy at 3.99.

Thats it for me today. Hope you have a fantastic day. Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

What is a friend?

Hi All!! I bought this super sentiment a while ago from Paper Makeup and it is just so appropriate for friendship. For this card I used memento tuxedo black ink and stamped onto Red Riding Hood Cardstock. My dp is from the Wild Raspberry Stack from K & Co. Ribbon was from stash and now I am looking at this card and cant believe I did not put any other embellies on it. Hindsight right??? What are you going to do? Oh and my layout is from Jen Del Muro's SFYTT which can be found here.

Had sooooo much fun yesterday with Karen and Jodi. Karen and I spent the day together shopping eating and dodging rain drops (literally, we were walking through town and got caught in a huge downpour and had to make our way back to the car. We were slipping and squishing in our flipflops!!), and then Jodi joined us for a fab dinner in town and we laughed so hard that we were crying. Best time I have had in a long time!!! (thanks chickies!!).

So I am off for now to go do some food shopping. With the kiddies home for summer vacation I like to keep the house well stocked with lots of goodies to feed them so I do not have to spend money on take out all the time. KWIM?? Have a fantastic day and I will catch up will all of your blogs later today!!

IC168

This weeks Inspiration Challenge IC168 over at SCS was to use the site called Flutter. They have great home furnishing. I was really inspired by this particular rug:

http://www.flutterclutter.com/shop/shop_detail_popup.php?product=512

Now truth be told, I knew in my head what I wanted to accomplish but I have to tell you that I stamped ALL kinds of different flowers before deciding on whipping out my old fiskars flower punches. None of the stamps I own were working well with what was in my brain, but I am soooo happy with the final result.

For this card I used Baja Breeze, Old Olive and Whisper White card stock. My dsp is from Green Tea. My flowers were stamped with fiskars punches. 3 different kinds and then my center is a simple silver brad from Making Memories. The swirl is stamped in Old Olive and that swirl is from a set called Stars over at Paper Makeup. My sentiment is H&M Stamps.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day!
